    I can’t like this video enough!!! I am now happy dancing (the Macarena) in my kitchen because my favorite hoodie is zipped and staying zipped after a year and several months of being swept aside. Just a couple squeezes with the pliers is all it took. Don’t give up guys and please for the love of happiness, share this with everybody. The longing of this very moment could have been not so longingly long if someone out there shared it with me. But I am forever grateful the moment happened. God bless

      sometime i had had those issues and i blame it to the zipper, but being honest with myself, sometime the issue is that i am forcing myself into clothes, coats, jackets, etc... perhaps too tight for my body... hehehe, so the zipper will end up blasting open hahahaha...with the fashion of wearing very tight jeans, i got some pair of jeans that i have to wear with very long tops, to hide the open zip....

  • @Gasp7000
    @Gasp7000 6 лет назад +45

    Actually, to prevent damage to the zipper teeth, you put on a new slider at the BOTTOM, not the top. That requires that you do a little seam-ripping, place it on the bottom, pull it up, closing the zipper, and then SEW (or staple well) the bottom stopper closed again. Fabric glue at the bottom can work, too. Just make sure you have recreated the stopper at the bottom.

      Not true. I'm in a predicament that might cost my life. My tent zipper froze and split. I have 15 below zero temperature and I can't close my tent. There are 30 mile wind gusts and I'm not sure what to do. Ilubricated and warmed everything up and I still can't zip it shut without breaking a bunch of teeth off. Even then it still won't work. If I live through this post, I'll tell you if and how I fixed it. It's not looking too good for me though. 5000 dollars in a tent and the zipper split! I'm scared

    The power of 「Sticky Fingers」

  • @izzyv830
    @izzyv830 2 года назад

    Didn't cover my problem but helped me get there. Here's a tip if you've got one of those tiny teeth zippers, and it won't open cuz the teeth are out of alignment(this is what happened to me and how I solved it): try pushing the zipper inward where it's jammed until it does that thing where it opens behind the zipperhead where it's not supposed to. this is a problem in itself but an easier one to solve. I personally used tweezers to do this but I think any small item that pushes in on a singular point should work. After that try zipping it closed like you normally would if it opened behind the zipperhead. it still got stuck in the same spot for me a bit so you might still wanna use some of the lubricants they recommend. Also If it's till jamming, here's something that I did that might work for this or even other problems. In the area of the zipper that is already opened try to pull it open even further using your hands in a way that forces the zipperhead forward. I found this much more effective than just tying to brute force pull the zipper. Hope this helps someone.

    It really did work. Glad it did. I read the other comment that said they didn’t need pliers and I didn’t have any on hand. And behold it worked

    Yay, Thank you!
    The zipper separated after it was zipped up. The slider needed to be tightened with pliers, like you said.
    it took a couple of seconds to do and viola. My ma can use her favorite purse again. 👌🏼😁

    Tip: if you think the slider is broken but the method shown at 0:47 doesn't work, try pressing the pliers against the front and back sides of the slider, instead of the left and right sides. This fixed it for me. Just don't press too hard because that might get your slider stuck.
