    Good work nicely put together but i wouldn't exactly call that a body swap. I done something similar to this with a 99 mustang i gutted it and put everything in a 88 Thunderbird. Dash, seats, wiring, k member, driveline, and suspension. Had to cut the spot on fire wall to make steering column work. Brakes and pedals are from the mustang as well

    • @1194video
      @1194video  Год назад

      Well let’s break it down just as a rough estimate if you do it yourself to say meaning no labor. To buy all the body panels, wheels, suspension upgrades, interior panels needed, lights, miscellaneous items such as hinges, latches, grills and bumpers and such, you will have roughly 20-30k in building one of these cars if you dont go crazy and want a standard body swap, if your looking into a Shelby tribute like mine it’s a bit higher. Wheels and trim and scoops and things cost a bit more but at the end of the build you have a car worth upwards of 200k

    • @save229
      @save229 Год назад

      this is awesome! 30-40k to have a tribute but you also get a much nicer and newer platform. Do you do these swaps for customers? what would your labor be for a body swap? like a 66 to a 2018 for example lol

      Okay, so are you saying the car shown in your video is a movie car style build then? I realize that it is a lot of work but was just trying to get an idea of about what the conversion would cost me?

    • @1194video
      @1194video  Год назад +1

      What I’m saying is basically, I’m not sure what it’s worth because I’ve only worked on my own cars as a hobby and that the cost is high for parts especially in today’s market if you were building one yourself personally, I work a full-time job and only do car builds on the weekends when I get time off kinda at my own leisure
