Just a quick video showing how I replaced the front brake pads & rotors on a 2015 GMC Yukon XL 4x4. (Same as Chevy Suburban) The rotors were very shiny and glazed from overheating and the brake pads were cracked. This would be the same for many GMC and Chevrolet vehicles.
The Torque specs I found online:
Caliper bracket bolt 129 ft lbs
Caliper Slide Pin bolt 80 ft lbs
Tools needed:
Large Flathead Screwdriver or Small Narrow Pry Bar
18mm socket and / or wrench
T-30 Torx Bit
19mm socket and or wrench
breaker bar or long handle wrench
Brake grease
C-clamp or Caliper Compression tool
Wire Brush
Brake Cleaner
Yellow Threadlocker (I didn't show this in the video, but it could be cleaned off and re-applied to the caliper bracket bolts if needed).
Thanks for watching!

This is similar to another video I made on a 2014 Chevy Tahoe 4wd. Here's the link in case I missed something on this one:

I watched both of your videos for replacing brake pads on a 2018 Yukon XL. They were really easy to follow. I know I’ll have to replace my rotors on the next change out and it actually looks easier than I thought it would be. Thank you for making these videos. They helped me save a ton of money.
No problem, happy to help!
Thank you for watching!

Excellent video. Was able to replace pads in about 2 hours and I've never done it before. Now I am confident to do it on all of our cars.
Thanks for your vid. Got my wife's brakes done. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Where did you put your floor jack at?
Do you have a video showing the rear brake rotors and pads on the same models/family?
This should be similar, but it's on a Sierra:

And this is pads only on a 2018 Yukon:

Nicely done video
Very well done. Explained everything perfectly. Really appreciate it!
Thank you for tge video. I accidentally forgot and put both curved pads on one side. They went in fine. I had to purchase another box to do the other side. Would you see any issue running both curved on one side?
I have seen exactly that happen before, when someone did just one side of their brakes and decided to have me do the other side months later. That’s when I realized it and showed him. It didn’t seem to cause any problems, but if you can just take it back off and put the correct ones back, I would do that. I ended up changing them back to the correct way even though it had been driven on for months.
Thanks for watching, best of luck to you.

Thank you for that,
I just finished and seems quite and brakes well. I will change the rears in the coming weeks, I will probably go ahead and do that them. Thank you for the information sir,
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks just realized i installed my spring clips backwards and possably pad on wrong side- took the tahoe for a test dribe and discovered one of the back rotors was smoking hot.
Is there a reason you didn't use thread locker?
Hi Jeff,
I probably just didn’t have any at the time😉
But seriously, there’s usually enough of the yellow factory thread locker on the bolt to keep it from coming loose as long as it’s torqued to spec.
Thanks for watching!

Also - great video -thanks very much
What do you recommend to do if the 18mm caliper support arm bolts are frozen? I have not done the brakes before and I'm unsure if thread locker was used previously or if they're simply frozen from other factors.
Hi Jason,
On something like this, the thread locker should be on those bolts from the factory. I would use a long breaker bar, or maybe try some heat first (carefully).
Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the video. Subscribed
When you press in the caliper you do not have to take the cap off the reservoir
Really well done.
