This is my favorite album by any artist ever (and I'm not even exaggerating). Picking a favorite song is damn near impossible for me. Fake Happy always makes me cry, even when I try not to. I tear up at the outro of Tell Me How, too (the "you don't have to tell me if you ever think of me; I know you see me dancing wildly in the fog of your memory. You don't have to tell me, I can still believe"... that desperate need to pretend they care about you, even when you know they don't, is too painfully real...).
Taylor wrote the music and he's super talented as well. I feel more and more fans are appreciating his talents and the fact he saved Paramore from ending

@@yanerd5626 im aware that taylor's all that, its why i said what i said... paramore beyond the surface is more him than it is hayley. even when it comes to hayley as a solo artist he still played a big role in the making (at least for PFA). and im aware she did the writing and instrumentation for descansos on her own but lets not act as if it's a good album to begin with that received stellar reviews... just because she can doesn't mean she's good at it. the albums on the other hand in which taylor was in the front seat, and PFA too with his contribution, are conveniently acclaimed in comparison. notice the pattern?

The reason for some lyrics in the album is because the band ironically passed Hard Times, like the last serious thing (2015) was that their forever bassist (Jeremy davis) left the group (for the second time) but that not was the most shocking thing.. it was the fact that not long after leaving he decided to sue Paramore (for reasons I honestly can't remember) and It was very painful for everyone (including the fandom) and that caused a huge depression in Hayley to the point of not wanting to make music again, since she already talked about how she is tired of losing friends and starting over again, but later in 2016 or something (I don't remember lol) they announced that their original drummer (Zac farro) would return after 7/8 years of having gone away for the reason of been fisically and emotionaly tired. Zac leave the band with his brother (Josh Farro) but he left for other reasons that I prefer don't mention (This is still difficult for me haha) Anyways.. that announce caused a roller coaster of emotions that are expressed in the song "Grudges" which by the way zac also sings. And the song No friend is very low poetry about the band history, is performed by Aaron weiss singer of the band MewithoutYou. So ...... yeah. I think I "summed it" up enough? so that you have an idea of why the album is as it is, I hope I explained well. lol IMPORTANT FACT: Not many people give him credit, but the reason of Paramore (and Zac) coming back to made music again (and most of the musical arrangements and lyrics you liked) is thanks to Taylor York (guitarist) and his beautiful and talented soul.
Also the song 26 is kind of a response/ call back to their song "brick by boring brick" wich is about someone living in a fantasy, and how that can only lead to getting hurt, but now they are talking about how you need to keep holding on to the hope and that "fantasy" like ittle kill you if you dont, wich i thought was a cool reference that shows how much they have grown over the years. "Afterall wasnt i the one who said, keep your feet on the ground... hold on to hope if you got it, dont let it go for nobody"-26 "Keep your feet on the ground, when your heads in the clouds, go gwt your shovel, and we'll dig a deep hole, to bury the castle"- brick by boring brick
