I want the comfort of the naked bike. But I want the style of the sports bike. This must be how women feel when choosing flat shoes or high heels, style or comfort.
A naked bike is far and away the best all around usable bike for all occasions. Setting up aids in tracking the traffic situation and way more comfortable. It allows for all day riding without hospital stay. If for any reason the bike goes down you will be buying lots of plastic at prices that make you think it’s a genuine government contract. Routine service is quick and easy on naked not sport bikes. Generally an equivalent naked bike is much cheaper priced than a sport bike at the dealer and insurance company also. I have totally fell in love with my MT09 naked bike.
Something that isn’t often addressed is risers or aftermarket clip-ons for super sport bikes. If the stock clip-on causes most of the comfort issue, it would make sense to modify that part. Plenty of aftermarket options that can place the clip-ons in-between the high naked handle bars and the low SS clip-ons
I always wanted an R6 growing up. I finally got one last year, a 2003 model, it was fine, a bit uncomfortable but it was old and I kept having to repair things so I traded it a few months ago for 2019 R6. Man was the new bike better in every way, so much more stable, more focused. Holy hell was it less comfortable though 😂 even though the bike is something I use exclusively for fun, a weekend or nice evening toy, I couldn't put up with it and the pain it was putting my body in after long rides. I've got a 2024 MT-09 SP coming in the next week or two, it feels way faster than the R6 on the street and is SO much more comfortable to ride there's literally no contest. I finally understand now why people say naked bikes are better for the street. People that ride a race bike daily and say it's fine or it's comfortable are just kidding themselves, it's like riding a boat that's as fast as a missile, it's just weird unless you're carving apexes, scraping knee or in a full tuck going well over 100mph.
I've been thinking of getting a motorcycle since December and I can't decide if I want a Ninja 400, or a Duke 390. Both look so good and fun at the same time! Might go for the Ninja 400 since that's the bike I've been wanting the longest though.
@@itsmeericb i have debated a lot between the Aprilia tuono and Yamahs Mt-10. But for the money Aprilia was the better performer. But Mt-10 for the looks for sure. Love your Channel man. Cheers from Canada!
So I’ve got a 20 mt07 it weighs 403 wet has 74 Hp and 50lbs of torque with that said it’s still a great bike and has no problem keeping with my old fz09 up to around 100 wheelies come with ease and it’s definitely fun in the twisties but the best part is the mileage I routinely get 50+ mpg unless I’m being a hoon then it’s closer to 38-42 the absolute favorite part it’s the commute ability of it very light easy to maneuver stops great and sounds decent
I had an ‘04 R6 (straight piped) and man I miss that thing 😂 now got the same exact colour MT10 with same exhaust and Leo Vince decat pipes with bar end mirrors and I love them both. R6 is a corner perfection katana blade which screams like the world is ending when straight piped, the MT10 is a green light takeoff hooligan machine that growls and can do easy wheelies and be used for 1000kms road trips. I’m going to buy an R6 again for the local twisties but 3 hour max trips did 600-1000kms on that and my neck pain was insane after few months of those. I've got a 2020 1290r, which has more than enough power for 99% of my riding, but on the occasional empty outback straights, I really wish I had a fairing, as going above 250kmh is just brutal on a naked.
Funny thing, I’m in the process of buying this 10 from _______ right now before he moves. Hopefully things will work out, cause I had to sell my first one, and his bike looks great. Seems like a nice stand up guy too. 👍🤪🇨🇦. I was wrong. Bought a new one instead. This guy has issues.
I want a sport bike next but I’ve never had the chance t ride one more than a couple minutes. I haven’t bought one because I’m scared to buy a bike I don’t want to ride due to comfort.
They are fun! Comfort is on each individual person. I’ve had a number and sport bike with the R6 being the most uncomfortable and it didn’t bother me that bad. Gotta think, sport bike weren’t meant for comfort so if that is your main concern I’d stay with naked. They are just as fun!
@@itsmeericb yea man I’ve been enjoying your old fz10, but sportbikes are so damn beautiful haha. I need to go on a test ride day but they’re few and far between in Louisiana.

Im curious if they would be good and enough of power for riding casually in smaller town...I understand that naked bikes do have more straight handlebars and much better comfort but i always liked the look of sport bikes more lol
An R3 and Nina 400 will have a less aggressive seating position than a bigger cc sport bike. It has plenty of power for main roads but can sometimes be lacking on the highway. Other than that it’s a perfect bike for beginners or if you aren’t looking for a lot of power.
@@itsmeericb That is awesome to hear :D, these kind of bikes would be more than enough for me..And yeah one more question, is it worth getting for example a R125 as a complete beginner for your first bike to learn on it? Or just buy R3 right away?

That you will never use on the streets and if you do it's ticket time especially where I am in Connecticut a very congested far left state everywhere you go it's bumper to bumper a super sport street bike if you wrote it here would cause nothing but frustration in and out of traffic so it depends where you live as well now if I was in Montana somewhere maybe a super sport would be nice you can open that sucker up.
It’s a comparison of someone looking to get a naked or a sport bike. Not a direct comparison as competitors because they are not. You are misunderstanding the point of the video. By the way an R6 in not an “entry level” sport bike. Something like an R7 or R3 is considered entry level.
