- My analysis of Rahm Kota will draw from his appearances in The Force Unleashed series, specifically the first and second video games, the Xbox and PlayStation versions, the first and second novelizations, both by Sean Williams, the first and second graphic novels, the first and second strategy guides, and The Force Unleashed Campaign Guide.
My analysis of Darth Wredd will draw from his appearances in the Legacy Volume II comic series, published from 2013 to 2014, with additional information from the Legacy Handbook and the Volume II Addendum, and the Legacy Era Campaign Guide. For background information, I will be referencing The Jedi Path, The Essential Guide To The Force, and The Complete Visual Dictionary, among others.
Rahm Kota and Darth Wredd were both out of step with their contemporaries. Both were adult recruits within Orders that emphasized training from birth, with existing combat experience that shaped their development. And both truly peaked after the fall of their respective Orders, with no established hierarchy to restrain them.
If these two Renegade Survivors were to meet in single combat, who would win?

It was either that or have a potential Kar Vastor-like warlord running around. The Jedi Order may have made some pretty dumb decisions but inducting Kota wasn't one of them, pragmatically speaking.

I don't think Anakin's age was the primary factor in their decision it was just a convenient excuse. Anakin was an incredibly gifted child with potential exceeding Yoda's and qui gon had openly stated his belief that he believed Anakin to be the chosen one of prophecy. Acknowledging that would mean accepting the return of their age old enemy the Sith for starters and Anakin had also demonstrated his deep attachment to his mother already. He was both a potentially difficult student at best and if qui gon was right a sign that the order was wrong about their beliefs the sith were extinct.
Might just be my personal take on it but I think denial was the primary motivator behind the initial rejection. Reconsidered after Qui Gon's death woke a number of them up to the severity of the issue at hand.
Lucien Draay Vs. Qui-Gon Jinn: The Jedi Fanatic Vs. The Jedi Maverick

your right Lucien is ferocious, but Jinn is more viable.
the reason i insist in this fight is because of personal reasons: both lucien and jinn, during their training in the jedi order, strayed from many of the core tenants of the jedi order, but for the same reason: lucien saw his actions as the will of the force to weed out the darkness of the sith and destroy it for good while jinn believed in the idea of the jedi being agents of the living force, seeing its power as neither light or dark, but both. Lucien, the fanatical knigts templar against jinn the ronin-like maverick is a fight i believe to be both epic and general interesting

It's not a complete surprise that Rahm Kota would be the victor of this fight. After his fights in the _Force Unleashed_ franchise, he would've been more prepared for a fighter of Darth Wredd's caliber. Experience is a good teacher. Besides, Kota is said to be a military _genius._

In my honest opinion, Darth Caedus vs Darth Plagueis is kind of a mismatch. And, it is mostly due to Caedus being: more powerful, more skilled (in both lightsaber combat and the Force), more intelligent as a combatant, and just being better in general. Plagueis was simply disinterested in combat, and did the bare minimum to be proficient in it so that he could effectively participate in it. Nothing more, and nothing less. Plagueis is definitely powerful in his own right, however his lack of interest in improving his skill and combative prowess makes him manageable for the truly top-tier Jedi and Sith. Caedus is one such being.

Great analysis!. Rahm was probably one of the few things I loved about TFU, so I'm glad to see an accurate and well deserved assessment of his powers. Any thoughts on a fight between a Jedi Temple Guard and Redguard? Or better yet, Imperial Knight.

At first glance, I was only somewhat intrigued but as I continued watching, realized that this matchup is pretty brillaint.
2 human tanks. 1 is a brilliant battlefield general vs a Sith Hunting Edgelord.
Going into this, I think this comes down to focus. One is a general combat specialist suited for the battlefield, the other is a Sith Hunter.
Edit: Welp, guess I was wrong. Despite being a short, you managed the better flesh out your breakdowns of Kota and Wredd than your full length videos did.
10:18 Cant help but assume your Krayt video lead to your more fleshed out version of your orig theory. Also shows just Krayt is obsessed with order. Rather than leading his followers construct their own personal styles like the Jedi and trad Sith Orders, he basically thinks any of the One Sith will become a mini version of him.
While your verdict was different than what I had going in, thinking about this some more it does make sense. Kota might be vulnerable to some of Wredd's shenanigans, but he has experience with Wredd's fighter type with a greater degree of magnitude in Galen Marek. If Kota can deal with Galen Marek, he can deal with Darth Wredd. Also, I know you rank Kota as tier 4 and this breakdown better shows why Wredd is at tier 5.
Glad to see you're back, I've missed your vs series
Kota would've been cool to see in the clone wars series. Maybe instead of Pong Krell on Umbara we got Kota that way there was still a lot of tension between the general and the troops along with a good few episodes.
Kota and Qu Rahn from Dark Forces 2 both deserved to appear in either the Dark Horse comics or TCW. Not doing anything with them was such an asinine waste, especially given Kota's unique backstory as an adult Jedi trainee.
Good job, this was a great video. Definitely one I had to think a bunch about. 2 surprising similar and yet different characters that require a good amount of thought into who would win but I do agree with your thinking

Aries Storm Antoine Bandele already did Anakin vs Luke as a match. For that reason, Jensaari won’t do it. The Fanalysis Council actively try to avoid doing the same matches as each other.
@@CompositeCreativity yeah you're right but I thought that was Jedi Knight Anakin and Luke. The match up I suggested would be both characters at the time they both swore allegiance to Darth Sidious. One continued down the dark path while the other was able to turn away.

Levi Sullivan officially, yes. But it’s not unreasonable to assume that Mace Windu had a hand in Kota’s training since Windu was the Order’s reigning master of Form VII. Connor has already gone into more detail at the end of his Post-Motem analysis
@@darylsdesigns6679 Maybe you're right. But Windu used his own variant of Form VII, Vaapad. Kota used the original variant, Juyo. So at the very least, Windu taught Kota the basics of the Force before he was brought to the Jedi Temple. Then Yoda saw his training to the end.
Levi Sullivan would’ve been cool if Kota uses the Vaapad variant. It would allow us to analyze how he uses it in comparison to its other practitioners. I also think Yoda taught him the advanced Force powers such as Tutaminis and Force healing. After all, we’ve seen the Grand Master used them throughout his career
@@darylsdesigns6679 Yoda most definitely taught him the more advanced powers. When it comes to Form VII, it's said you must have a sufficient level of skill in at least three forms before attempting to study it. I would say Kota knows Shii-Cho, Ataru, and Shien. Ataru's the most obvious because Yoda was a master of the form.

Good matchup with a more or less solid conclusion. As tough and adaptable as Wredd is, Kota is simply a level above him in terms of overall performance and has some of the best endurance feats portrayed in the mythos.

I do think his Showing against Boba is more a display of Boba’s ability than a deficiency of Kota’s. Especially since Boba fought Darth Vader blade to blade

This is a huge mismatch. Any iteration of Maul would slaughter Swan.
It was their mastery of Teras Kasi that made me think of it. He would definitely put her under serious pressure alright.
Fair enough. They are on completely different levels though.
Hand to hand match would be interesting, but ultimately Maul slaps her down. Zabrak toughness plus Dark Rage effectively makes him the Bruce Lee of Star Wars.

Kota is a tier above those folks, except Vindican. He might provide a decent fight but my money is on Kota.
This video gets me hyped about your post mortem analysis on these two. These kinds of fighters are always the most interesting to me. They're powerful and effective, whilst not being in the top tier.

Well known film characters Vs some prominent Legends characters.
+Watchface These matchups sound interesting.
While Anakin is the better swordsmen in single combat, Shan's more developed power and greater variety of force abilities should let her clutch a win.
I think Talon is more skilled based on her matchs with Cade (whose contended quite well against Krayt), but her style is super conventional and Jinn would likely figure her out, and counter.
On the other hand, Talon uses her force abilities way more proactively and has more powers to work with.
Kenobi walls Cade, Cade starts unleashing the force abilities and clutches a win.
Obi Wan vs Cade is a particularly interesting one in my view

Replaying TFU and TFU2, I'm not so convinced that Ataru was part of the styles that made up Kota's Juyo. Shii Cho and Shien are for certain, but there's nothing suggesting Form IV : no acrobatics, no cartwheels, no unarmed combat, no fast aggressive sword play or staple moves like Su Ma rotations or Falling Leaf. Anything resembling leaps or sommersaults can be traced back to Juyo.
Right off the bat my money’s on Kota.

@@Account-lu9ej I was initially going to say Zannah and Cade, but I think Cade is too susceptible to mental influence for it to be fair.
On the other hand Bane has struggled against Wildcard opponents in the past, and Cade definitely is a wild card.
I would bet on Bane, but Cade contending with and beating Krayt means he can fight opponents that are above his skill level.
Josh Davidson - Cade certainly is the underdog type to pull off these kinds of wins, so I wouldn't rule him out of taking a few rounds. To be fair, Zannah's spells could have the opposite effect and just enrage Cade to the point where he crushes her. Sith spells require the user to be more powerful (raw power) than the individual they're trying to influence as per the Tales of the Jedi Sourcebook, so unless we want to argue that Zannah has more raw power than a Skywalker, I think the result is clear.

It's hard to say since Cade's training was never complete per say.

One the one hand, Mara is Luke's wife which means she can take a pounding. On the other hand, Talon has survived a night with Cade Skywalker (who knows Dark Transfer and Shatterpoint).

Hello Jensaarai1, I was watching the Sidious is not invincible video and had two thoughts when you compared jaina solo and mace windu, first was jaina with vaapad, second was jaina solo vs mace windu
Mace Windu easily. Jaina's not really anywhere near as good as they think she is.
She's not Windu's equal but she would give him a good fight. Though I agree with the notion the council do have a tendency to overestimate her capabilities. On more than one occasion they do that by underestimating Caedus's capabilities.

@@TheNuisanceBird yeah Caedus started that fight in a bad way and he had no interest in continuing the duel because he was trying to save his daughter. Even then though with numerous advantages the most Jaina could achieve was a draw. She survived because Jacen allowed her to.
A fresh Caedus who wanted to kill Jaina would have prevailed.

Theoretically, do you think that if Mace Windu and Darth Sion, Mace’s Dark side feeding could slow Sion’s passive healing?
Nah. If anything, you have the Mace vs Palp fight all over the again. Mace keeps feeding, Sion keeps channeling until the circuit is overloaded and causes massive force explosion. My question isn't if Mace wins, is if Mace survives the fight.
Mace is far more powerful than Sion to begin with, especially in RotS. So Windu wouldn't need to sink into Vaapad and channel energy in the same way he did against Palpatine. He has continuous quotes declaring parity to Dooku and Yoda, he won't have too much trouble here.
Doesn't really come into play. Mace would chop Sion to pieces then stomp on the pieces.

What tier would Kir Kanos be? As a Royal Guard he was capable of fighting Jedi but was he Force sensitive?
Wredd is a pretty underrated Sith. He represents the true, final end of the Sith in the Legends continuity.
He destroyed the bulk of the one sith order but its not realistically likely he caused the siths extinction. All the most notable (and by extension powerful) sith of the one sith order were never seen in the battle of the floating world. Its much more likely they are still around. If anything the survivors are likely the ones that were most loyal to Nihl and didn't disobey his orders and break cover to kill wredd. Ironically wredd may have actually done Nihl a favour.

@@papawedge7396 Given their absence I'd say its almost a complete certainty that the notable members of the one sith order are alive and plotting. Wredd's actions proved effective at thinning the orders ranks but it's highly unlikely he accomplished anything more than that.

Dark Aprrentice ( starkiller clone) vs Darth Malgus ( return trailer). Two master dualists with a strong force connection. Malgus in his prime would unquestionably defeat Galen Marek or his clones( though any of them would acquitt themselves well, they are just to far below him in terms of experience or developed skill ) Malgus after his first duel with cao cen darach would still require some polish. Undisputedly a great warrior and powerful force adept, this incarnation is undeveloped enough to have the dark apprentice be a viable Threat.

@@russ2700 Qui Gon has a lot of advantages in that fight to be fair. His biggest disadvantage is the fact that Kreia is a far superior combative force wielder. He'd essentially have to keep her under the gun the whole time and keep it as a pure lightsaber duel to win. I. Simply see it as more likely she'll be able to break out her powers.

@@russ2700 that's all well and good but in order to win Jinn would have to prevent Kreia from utilising her force abilities at all. Realistically I don't see that being likely especially considering Qui Gon doesn't have any familiarity with Kreia at all.

While I do agree with that opinion if we were talking about the False Cannon variants (The ones blowing the mouse), I was referring to the more legitimate variants found in the EU. Boba gets very tough to kill as time goes on, especially once he claims the title of Mandalore. While Grievous also gets much more deadly, I see it being very hard for him to kill Fett with his usual tactics once he gets to about mid career (YVH War).
Even if they're standing at opposite ends of a football field, Grievous would still take Fett down. Even with his jetpack Grievous still has his blaster.

There's more considering that Fett keeps an armory on Slave I, but that is just off the top of my head. Things like thermal detonators, rockets, mini-missiles, tow lines with cortosis weave (he started using that after Tatooine I believe), 360 HUD, EMP grenades, and yes even the jet pack would all need to be considered. That is also not taking into consideration the entirety of Slave I it self which Fett can call in at the push of a button. And that is just in the weapons and armament section. Personal skill as well as physical conditions would need to be analyzed. I like Grievous, I really do. In fact I think he's an absolute terror who brought an edge to SW that we hadn't really seen up to that point (or after to be honest). But he's not immortal, and has some very obvious flaws, just as Boba has some obvious weak-points. Thus I'd love to see a breakdown on a fight between these two famed jedi hunters.
Boba's armor is not made of Beskar. His gauntlets, flamethrowers, and other equipment would be useless against Grievous who's able to withstand blows from starfighters.

I don't think Kota uses Ataru. Instead I think he uses Sokan.
Sokan is a mindset and tactic.
He uses Ataru, look how he jumps and evades.
Just because he's good at throwing objects or because he tore the control tower, doesn't make him a full Sokan user, though he might have a good understanding being a military strategist.
Rather than that, anything resembling leaps or sommersaults from Kota can be traced back to Juyo, while his swordplay is clear cut either Shii Cho or Shien.

Decent but Count Dooku most likely wins. Jensaaria1 and the other Verses Series council has placed Shaak Ti as a Tier 2 combatant and Count Dooku as a Tier 1.5 so he has an advantage. But she is definatly one of the few who could contend with him if nothing else. I could even see her winning in a prolonged bout.
