- Today we are looking at The Loft. This 1,140 sq ft single wide is located at Homes Direct in Albany, Oregon. This is an ultra modern home the give you lots of open space and large areas every where. It features a single sloped roof giving you extra tall ceilings. It has the largest and best looking kitchen you will ever find in a single wide. You even have a full sized dining room.

What a sweet place! Perfect size (for me). Love the separation between the living room and kitchen and both bedrooms are a good size and very functional. An A+ for this one for sure! Love it!

Great home Nate, kitchen is big and that’s one of the important rooms in any home. When I lived in a single wide decades ago they sure didn’t look like this, if they had I may have never left. Definitely opt for the tiled shower in the master. Great job sir.
This is the best single wide I have seen to date. Your right Nate: best kitchen hands down! I hope I can find something like this in North Carolina when I start shopping
In North Carolina, check out Greenfiled Housing. They had a single wide there that was "modern" single. I filmed it and all the others homes they had, but lost all footage from there do to corupt memory card.
LOVE the counter space in the kitchen. You can tell some thought went into planning this kitchen and home. This is by far the nicest kitchen I've seen in a single wide. Most of them treat the kitchen as an after-though and there's no counter space. We do have kitchen appliances that go on the counter, such as small ovens, stand mixers, coffee makers, etc. These items are pretty much used daily so it's not convenient to put them in a drawer or cupboard all the time. They need to be accessible and ready to use.
I want a home with 2 master suites and a half-bath for guests. It must also have enough room in the utility room for an upright freezer.
A very nice looking home with plenty of space, and the kitchen is very big too.
I love the whole look of this home. Inside and outside. Very awesome kitchen. Would have liked a farm sink. A very wonderful 2/2 and I'm looking for the perfect one with two good sized master bedrooms and bath. You're showing really great singles

Not usually a fan of single wide homes, but this is nice. Love the living room and kitchen separation.
I love everthing! The master bedfoom without windows on both outside walls is my favorite feature. They always put to many windows which makes it hard for furniture placement

Very nice. I would add a small window above the tub in the first bathroom you showed, like the window in the closet of the master bedroom. There’s plenty of cabinets in the kitchen, so I would delete the cabinets in the dining area to make it bigger. I don’t like the fridge sticking out from the wall. I would want the fridge flush with the wall so I would request a bigger opening for the fridge and sacrifice washer/dryer space. Full size stackable machines are fine with me. I’d delete the wall separating the tub & shower in the master bath and have glass installed instead. And in the kitchen I’d have the backsplash go all the way up to the cabinets.
This would be a nice place for a single person like me with no kids. Beautiful wood flooring, and that is a unique ceiling fan. That kitchen is the best I've ever seen in a single wide; I would add a dishwasher & microwave. Glad they fit a tub in the master bath; just needs a door for the closet.

I have to say, for a single wide, this is amazing. I'd like to see more with this ceiling type, I think it works really well for opening up smaller spaces. Thanks for reviewing, and so far I'm not blind...but it could be a delayed reaction ;)

I have a bunch of antiques, but I think that I could make it work. I've always had an eclectic style. I LOVE this house!
One of the few single wide homes I could actually see myself living in. There are a few things I would change and add. One being that chandelier over the table. I would take it out and add canned lighting.
Slanted ceilings look beautiful. Add a lot aesthetically. But my question is always about the insulation factor etc.

main beef with a lot of mfg homes, no covered entry. Living in a rainy area, just don't like the idea of standing in the rain fiddling with keys to enter the house and drip all over, or have guests stand outside in the rain waiting for me to open the door. Hate the fan, LOVE the built in archway. Good laundry area, love side by side. I prefer just a nice large walk in shower in the master bath, don't need a tub, if I do, there is one in the 2nd bath. Nice kitchen. With 1150 sq ft, MUCH better with just 2 bedrooms as then the rooms end up larger and nice. Don't understand why a dishwasher is an option, shame Palm Harbor. Very nice overall.

Wow, this is an impressive home. It doesn't look like any other single wide mobile home I've ever seen. It looks like a regular site/stick built home. I've noticed that Palm Harbor homes overall have that appeal and look. Kitchen is fabulous as is the rest of the home. Love that the closets don't have those awful and cheap looking vinyl coated metal racks! This place is really pretty and looks 'quality' not 'cheap.'

Nice! I wonder if there's an option for pocket doors for the master closet. Unless the fan system in the bathroom is really good, having that open all time could be an issue. Other than that, this home is wonderful!

To make the 2nd bedroom a true master, a pocket door could lead from the BR into the bathroom. Add TWO windows to the opposite wall OR some transom windows. Adding some 2-tier hanging rods to half the closet would also increase the wardrobe space. Does or could Palm Harbor ever install walk-in tubs? This is an ideal floor plan for empty nesters.
Luv this house but would still change stuff. Want a pantry. Prefer vents in ceiling

I have seen one Chance put one on here that I enjoyed that was a single wide Bad Drivers. I'll send it to you here in a minute. I absolutely love this single wide too. I have seen a few on RUclips that I enjoyed on here. The only thing I don't like about the master bedroom bathroom is the garden tub. I love big. Most of them come with small ones. Not a big fan. Beautiful home. Love the generous windows and monoslope roof and kitchen. Downside is awkward TV placement in living room and lack of second vanity sink in master bath. I'd probably change out the tub for another vanity. Another minor nit is that the master should face the rear of the home for more quiet and better view. Great job Nate!

Nate, I love that kitchen!! There are just a few changes I'd make to the house, but not all that many. I wouldn't change the kitchen at all, unless I could find a way to put a pantry in it. But that is a very good single wide house! Good video, Nate. The light you are using on your camera seems to work just fine. Was a little bright in the mirror when you said hello to your son, but most lights are bright when aimed at a mirror! So that's okay. I would rearrange the Master Bathroom. I need a handicapped tub and I know you can get a combo handicapped tub/shower. So I'd put that in, probably where the shower is now. Remove the tub in there and put the commode back against the handicapped combo where the shower is now, and put in a bigger sink/counter where the commode is now. And where the sink is now, put in a small linen closet. Also I would remove the shelves in the living room. I'd like a gas fireplace, and I'd need to put it in the corner next to the front windows where the shelves are. You could make a small pantry out of the one next to the kitchen table, making it facing the kitchen, of course. I'd need to find somewhere to put my Grandma's Hutch I inherited from her. Could put it where the other shelving his, instead of making that area a pantry I guess. But...that kitchen!!! I don't think I've ever seen one that big in any of the single wide houses I've looked at!
Hello Nate and Raiden. Now that is a home I can live in that second bedroom would be a good guest room combination and office. And there are a few things that I would upgrade but overall that the house I could live in and be happy. I would like to see a sliding door on the backside so I could put a nice deck out there and accommodated with a few goodies like grills and an entertainment area and maybe even a hot tub. Great job! Having lived in four different mobile homes over about a fifty year period, i can tell you; windows make it hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Running up your heating and cooling bill. And the Therma pane windows do not make that much difference. The only thing I can think of is that it must be a way of saving money in construction costs. Because electric lighting is much, much cheaper than all those windows. Cheaper for you, not for them
As much as I like the kitchen in this one I loved the pantry and shower in the last one. I also agree the entry from the living room is a classy touch
This is a nice one especially the kitchen, I can see myself in this one for sure in Montana if I can ever afford land there to put it on, even if it doesn't have a coffee counter next to the fridge! 🤣

It’s beyond nice. The master shower needs big work As a large tile shower The kitchen sink sucks. The only things that failed here. The high ceilings are amazing as are the windows.

I have watched this at least 10 times. I have been watching for a few months and I always come back to this. Vents in the floor have got to go. And I'm sorry, but I hope those shelves from the living room into kitchen are optional. I really don't like them, they are way too big for the house and they're all I can see. Very distracting. Thank you so much for touring this home. I love it
Yes those shelves are aoptional. I have another version of this home called the Montana. It was one a very first video's I put out.
The more times I come back to this the more the shelf units between living room and kitchen grow on me. They look good they're just a little "chunky". Does that make sense? The home is so light and airy. I saw the Montana, the Atrium and most similar designs. I really like the monoslopes. Such great designs.
I think I would like it without that shelf room divider. It would look a lot bigger. lol, did you say "sink above the window" I really, really like your videos best for looking at homes. You do a really good job.
Possibly, This was withing my first 6 months of doing this and I stumbled on my words a lot.
Like the initial look of the livingroom as you enter. Now wished they did not have the farthest livingroom wall basically be a bank of windows two max one on each end would have been sufficient. As even with the additional wall apace you get from the formal separation of the living/dining- kitchen space most of that space is not usable wall it's book case. Some pieces of furniture require a wall for placement not windows. I've seen this exact kitchen dining layout before in older homes when I was looking 5.5 yrs ago. While giving you more cabinets and counter space this one does do better with the better quality cabinets with drawers over doors but yes I've seen this exact kitchen dining before and wish they would consololidate length into a less space grabbing design to give you a actual full on dining space that doesn't share any space with the kitchen as this one does and I've also seen that in some single wides I guess on other channels. This is better than some and not as good as some . only major difference would be the bank of transom windows above the kitchen. I like the space of the second bedroom I wouldn't change that and the bathroom could have benefited from one of those transom windows. Vanities in the bathrooms need drawer space. Laundry room needs some cabinets above the W/D for much needed added storage. The master bedroom is a definite big scorer in this home has a great size and feel and very good layout and design that is a winner and would want to change that and I do like the master ensuite a lot but even though I don't use tubs some will find that small oval inadequate and there is room for a longer tub in this bathroom(I wonder if that is a option? The bathroom has room either way for a linen closet and feel this should have been put in the empty space that is behind the door. Closet space is adequate for this home so for me the bathroom gets high marks but has room for improvement with a vanity that has drawers and a linen closet added behind the door. For my purposes that would complete this bath room nicely. I wish I had that master and it's ensuite now. The kitchen in this one is not the best most ideal design but definitely as I said better than some. I just prefer the kitchen to still have the amount of drawer over door cabinets that this one has along with countertop space while providing a separate semiformal dining area to the side and again I've seen more than one that did this. So while yes this home has many improvements it can still undergo further tweeking to improve it still.
