Is the black gun metal color of the A100WEGG clearly different from silver of the A100WE-1A? Or it's not really much different? I wanna make a prop replica of Alien watch, and if attaching these two Casios with orange flame a subtle difference of color does stand out?
Side by side it's quite a bit darker. Fair amount of contrast between the two.
if they'd make these at the same level as the metal G's, I'd have at least a few.
Is it possible to take the bracelet off and put on a leather strap? My friend has an old seiko, big similar to casio ae-1200. looks rad!
There's not a whole lot of clearance between the springbar and the case but as long as the leather isn't to thick you should be able to pull it off.

I picked up the silver one,did you notice that there is no screws on the back cover🤔
When you need to replace the battery how does the back come off🤔
I believe it's a snap caseback. Looks like there's a spot near the lugs where you can fit a small screwdriver to pry open the caseback.

I haven't tried but I think you should be able to fit a leather strap.
So what are the chances of re-releasing the watch from Alien? Or am I going to have to buy 2 and make my own?
I actually came across someone that had made the orange strap and was selling them at one point when I was researching for this video.
I don't believe they sell them anymore but that would be a cool project.
To most people, it’s a normal vintage digital watch. To alien fans, it’s the Ripley watch. Either way it’s awesome.

I bought two to replicate the Ripley watch from Alien and planned to have one 12 hour and the other 24. Pretty rubbish that it doesn’t do this.
I’m going into the military soon and I’m a fan of Alien, so I thought it’d be cool to get this one if it had 24hr time. I guess I’ll just have to stick with the classic f91w, it’s much cheaper anyways. Thanks for this comment.

I think it's great that Casio is releasing things like this for collectors. And while they're cool because of the retro factor, any current Casio is a better watch with more features...and costs less too.
I'm liking these a whole lot but it's definitely a little light on functions compared to watches like the World time and others that are even more affordable. Thanks.
NO NO NO NO NO NO !!!!!! Took me years to forget loosing my precious coins just because a BLOODY button "didn't get pushed" (my @ss, i pushed it alright!). IF (i say if....) i just sense something like this happening again, i would take this watch off my wrist and "push" it down the floor till it goes "BEEEPH#$%^^&*(*^^*(@@#@$ "!!!!!!! And dead flat !!!!!!

Awesome looking watch, but overpriced. Why pay as much as a G-Shock for this when you can get a beautiful and more versatile AW168 for 25 bucks any day of the week? We have to draw a line in the sand with Casio and all of their backcatalogue gouging aimed at trendy millennials.

Picked one up, new for $45. Imo, worth it at the ~$50 price point. MSRP is a tad higher than I'd pay.
Ugly as sin in the flesh! I've had dozens of Casio's over the years, & this is a Christmas cracker SKMEI quality wise. Bring back the Marlin digitals. Now they make a lot of sense. But I can't see the appeal to anyone other than a ten year old. Made in China. I'm sure SKMEI will come up with a $10 lookalike. Which is all this is worth!!! 😡😡😡👎👎👎
These are better suited for women, they're far too small on the wrist to be a man's watch.
