"The Legend of Hao Lan" based on the late Warring States period, revolves around the struggle between the Qin and Zhao states. The Zhao state Censor's daughter Li Haolan (Wu Jinyan acted) was forced to be a slave because of family struggle , the businessman Lv Buwei (Nie Yuan acted) bought him. @@meliamedaverman3558 Right. There are other poly families where all are together, for example, if there are two men and two women in the marriage group all share bed and intimacies. Those are different lifestyles, and it is okay because they agree to that. Also, the attention has to be equal. But in ancient times the man could have more than one partner and the women not which was unfair. (Except for few places that existed polyandry.) Also, one or two concubines were favoured and sometimes the main wife was not. Or the main wife was favoured and the others not. That meant the husband was focused on the favoured ones and the others were ignored. How sad and lonely is it to be married to someone that does not love you? The worst is they couldn't divorce and get out of that difficult situation.

Well yeah but he didn’t want to marry Siluo it was an arranged marriage, and he couldn’t say no (I mean he could but he didn’t) since it would affect his position as crown prince. I feel like it’s his fault for choosing a kingdom over the responsibility of his wife and his child. I honestly really feel bad for Siluo but it was an one sided love. Since Haolan said that they already changed their arrangements and decided to dedicate themselves to each other. They agreed that they love each other and decided to have a child together. Being the mother of his first born son Haolan has every right to demand him to be crown prince- which is much more appropriate if she is the queen rather than concubine.
He and Lyu Buwei also promised Haolan that they will make her the Queen if she endures the struggles that she did, so yeah. Haolan is the mistreate done here and has every right to stand her and her sons ground.

Actually he married Hao Lan first so she's actually the legal wife. Also they had decide to be a real couple. There's no hypocrisy. Hao Lan is the victim, not that other woman.

For me I don't have problems with new actors, but sometimes it is either tthe acting is bad or the stories really stupid 😅

No, and this is based on actual people. In history Li Haolan and Lyu Buwei didn’t end up together either. Haolan’s and the Prince’s child ended up being the emperor that United all the individual Chinese kingdoms, so it’s a pretty big deal. They could not change it for the show.
