Rugby 06 is the goat for me, has all the good features of Rugby 08 but instead of only being able to play the 2007 RWC you can randomize the pool stages or even play the draws from 1999, 2003 and 2007.
100% agree bro, mechanics are awesome as well. I have 5 copies of the game and buy any I see online as soon as I see it. Going to be a day where it's not found anywhere in the world and I wanna keep playing it for a long time.

I agreed with nearly all your ratings. Good video. I really , really disliked Rugby 20. Found it quite poor on so many levels. Particularly how they abandoned it with a bug in which Ai would use their whole bench in 1st half in competition mode and remove the best starting opposition players in every match. I currently playing Rugby 18 again out of Boredom. That one is poor too., The graphics better but on field gameplay very limiting. Trying to set a back line in formation for attack is almost impossible. The hardest difficulty which is Pro is far too hard. I need to lower it to semi pro if I continue playing the game. I actually enjoyed Rugby Challenge 4 with its new unreal engine but I agree it was more of the same with gameplay and copy paste animations. Rugby 22 - How annoying was it seeing no Ai Fullbacks or wingers drop a ball from a bomb or kick down the field to the 22. I mean not even in wet weather conditions would you see a dropped ball at any point in a match. The Gallagher licensing was very disappointing and career mode awful again. I never even attempted it. Custom teams only to use for a career mode is so boring. Will stay in hope that Big Ant gives us an excellent new game this year.

The rugby challenge series is a travesty; and we're all to blame. Every time we get excited, "they'll learn". They copied and pasted one to two, but they won't do it for 3. They did.

Definitely in the mix. A very good game. I didn't really play it as much as 08 so never really put the hours in it deserved.

Rugby 06 is the Goat. It had the Lions Tour and 10 Nations tournament. Jonah Lomu was also in the game.
Yeah a lot of people put 06 right at the top. I never really played it as much as 08 so it doesn't hold the same nostalgia.

I prefer the gameplay of 22 but challenge definitely has a better career mode and editing suite.

Agreed. Think we just have huge hopes because we are desperate for good rugby games. We get let down so often.
