Rugby 08 was my favorite! Richie Macaw on the cover and brought me loads of joy with my club. We used to have pre game matches against each other before our home matches. I also really enjoy 22 and I hope 24 is even better.
The problem with modern Rugby games is that with the laws of the game involving rucks, scrums etc it doesn’t lend itself to quick fluid gameplay and can be confusing at times. That’s why for me Jonah Lomu Rugby with its pick up and play simple fun arcade gameplay was ideal. I still fire it up occasionally and can play it for hours
Another delay is highly likely but it won't be the end of the year. I think it will still come out during the six nations so they have until mid March.
1. Jonah Lomu Rugby. That's it. Never enjoyed any other rugby game really, not even Rugby 08. Maybe Rugby Champions might be fun, but my PC can't play it at 60fps.
@@BearsGamer one interesting thing to note, as you mention the button bashing, is that this is actually a bug in the game. The designers never intended for button bashing to be part of rucks, but due to a bug, it works. In my house it was always strictly banned! (along with 'Bunting' (another bug), and up-n-unders into in the in-goal). However we allowed some bugs - like running in the air at lineouts. But even when I play 1-player, I will never button-bash at rucks!
@@tomdavies6368 very interesting. I always enjoyed that part of older games like street fighter for example. Just adds to the fun that your all exhausted playing the game 😂
1. rugby champions
2. rugby 08
3. rugby league live 3
4. rugby challenge 2
5. rugby wc2011
That's a cracking list mate. I've not played any of the rugby league games so I can't comment on them.
1. Rugby 06
2. Rugby 08
3. Rugby 22
4. Jonah Lomu Rugby
5. Rugby Challenge 3
@@ThomasBrown-g3w nice list

08 is a classic. Let's hope 24 can give it a run for its money!
@@BearsGamer I hope so!

Great video buddy. Rugby World Cup 2011 was actually a really fun game
Thanks man. Yeah a lot of people have fond memories of that one.
Rugby world cup 2011 is my favourite of all time just because of the addictiveness and gameplay
Definitely a quality game mate 👍

@@James-ih4gz nice list 👍
The Madden guys should make a Rugby mod for their engine.
Rugby world cup 2011 is such a great game and really fun to play, i would put it 2nd honestly😅
I know a lot of people who have that as number 1. I think the nostalgia of 08 and Lomu sway me to them more. I played them so much more than 11.
@@BearsGamer isn't 11 just a reskinned 08?
@@tomdavies6368 it is basically yes.
Mate, I see a RUclipsr showed rugby 24 date moved from 30 Jan to the placeholder date of 31 Dec 2024. What do you think? Another delay?

An absolute classic of a game.

And Rugby 24
Will that make the top 5? 🤔
