    Why can't they just secure these barges? Is it so complicated?

      They were secured but then they broke loose. They managed to catch them, only for the flood waters to yank them loose again and then they hit the dam

      That samer fertilizer flows into the Arkansas from agricultural fields in countless states. The only difference here is that it's all congregated on some barges. Compared to the whole those barges are not even a drop in the bucket.

    If it would have been lost grain, they would have jacked up the price on everything and been poor mouthing about that. Unfortunately, the weather warfare is wreaking havoc on farmers getting their crops in. When the technology exists to control the weather, there shouldn't be flooding or drought anywhere.

    • @filanfyretracker
      @filanfyretracker 5 лет назад +1

      I hope the technology to control weather like what is seen in science fiction is never invented, At least not as long as humanity acts how it does today. What starts as giving farmers rain and stopping an EF-5 from wiping out a chunk of a midwestern city eventually becomes some idiot at the DOD thinking of ways to use it for the exact opposite of preserving life.

    • @johnsharp8627
      @johnsharp8627 5 лет назад

      They have been manipulating the weather since at least Vietnam. There is otherworldly technology that has most definitely fallen into the wrong hands. Gotta look and think outside the box.

      @@merkur8777 Three degrees are impressive, but what it says is you had to pay a lot of money to have people you don't know tell your son how to think. It also doesn't teach common sense and it doesn't show a person how to think for themselves or outside the box. Nothing personal against you or your son.

    • @TheKira699

      I suspect it would have damaged the gates trying to close them against that force of water.

    • @donaldnelson171
      @donaldnelson171 3 года назад +2

      I work on the river. We push barges. You can't close the gates with that amount of water. These gates is how they keep the river at a certain depth. If not you would flood everything on the lower end and have just a creek on the upper end!

    • @daviddickey9832

      If you close the gates you could lose the dam, that would be much worse.
