for the jamaican passport your family dr can complete the section that needs to be notarized and for the Canada passport yes a citizen need to sign even though they never contact them. I completed both process Canadian passport process very quick and easy in comparison to Jamaican renewal

I think you specify for the Jamaican process (if it's difficult for a child) as my husband had to renew his passport from Japan and the process was quick. We did it online.

Wow, so you need a Canada citizen to do things on your behalf? I see why a lot of persons try to be in good standing after getting their PR so that they can get their Citizenship as well. Interesting process to say the least.
