  • Check out our article about Why Citizens of All Western Countries Need a Second Passport:
    nomadcapitalist.com/global-ci...
Here at Nomad Capitalist, we’ve been talking about the benefits of having second citizenship for years.
And a lot of seven- and eight-figure entrepreneurs have taken me up on that offer - either as a Plan A for further tax reductions or a Plan B for what we call citizenship insurance.
With the political and social changes that are occurring throughout the world, it would be wise for any high-income citizen of a Western country to get a second passport.
“Why?” you ask? Because a second passport can serve as a form of protection from the chaos of our times.
While it’s rare, I’ve had the occasional Canadian, citizens tell us that they think things in their country might get worse. Still, many of them don’t think they need a second passport as much as they think US citizens do.
In this video, Andrew shares the best second passports for Canadians.

Cost of a very good bottle of wine under GBP5 a bottle. 4. Cape Town is considered as one of the "foodie capitals of the world" 5. Cape Town's beauty is very special. 6. @@lead111 lol... you trying to drum up business? With the dribs and drabs of heavily-redacted fizer documents coming out, why would anyone willingly sign up to put themselves at risk for 1280+ life-changing (or ending) side effects in order to consider themselves marginally 'protected' from an illness with a 99.7% rate of full recovery? The only reason to encourage vax at this stage, knowing what we know, is to goad people into getting hurt. Is that your angle "Injurylawyer"? 😂

For anyone else trying to get their money out of Canada that’s in Canadian trusts - they use DTC for share transfers, so if you’re in the U.K. setup a Schwab share dealing account (required $25k to open, but you can withdraw it) then you can transfer to the U.K. account.

@Lucy Rane UK brokers use CREST for share transfers. Try getting money out a non-UK broker into a UK broker account! Believe me, it's a nightmare! Schwab is one of the few options.

Andrew, what will happen if you try to go back to the US to visit family, grandparents, friends etc? Have you ever been back to the US since you renounced your citizenship? This seems like a very risky life decision for most people just to avoid paying tax money to a country that gave you a start in life.
Your earlier videos a few years back encouraged me to get my Italian passport by descent. (In addition to my Canadian) Thank you for this.

So the citizenship by "investment" is actually buying the passport? Are you literally giving the country your money in exchange for the citizenship, or are you investing in business ro real estate that is your own, but that is a growth of industry/commerce for the country in question? I must be dense. Thanks. It's probably further along in your book (that I am currently reading BTW).

You’re only a little bit dense, Rob.
The details vary depending on which program you choose.
Typically for Caribbean 🌴 CBI programs, you have the option of making a donation to the government or buying some (overpriced) government approved real estate 🏡.

Yes, I know your husband can. He can do it at the Italian embassy in Toronto (any italian embassy). It was about $500 a couple of years ago. Paperwork is pretty easy to discover on Google. I'm not sure about spouses but residency should not be a problem once he is an italian citizen. Italy is not much better than Canada these days. Do your research. See what other union countries you have access to. Also, look into David Straight for another option.
