My prom happened right before this song came out and the band got famous. They played my little small town prom lol lots of great music out of Kentucky
You didn't go to Garrard County High School, did you? My uncle did and he said that Exile played at his prom before they got famous. He said they were fantastic.
It's good that you are taking an interest in these past decades. Dig deeper than the top 5 songs each month, and you will find a treasure-trove of good stuff. The #1 stuff was not always the best stuff either.
I noticed some tubers have this short version. It took me a couple of reactions to realize there are two versions. Try finding the one with the second verse. Great reaction😊
I'm so happy that you appreciate this style of music. The 70's just had that twist of all types that I enjoyed all of them. The harmonies are incredible. Thanks
This is the 7" single / radio edit of the song, and the entire 2nd verse is missing. If you want to hear the whole song, look on RUclips for the album version. While this was not their only soft rock single release, it was their most successful one. Later, they switched over to country music and had a lot of hits on the country charts.
They are out of my hometown LExington Kentucky.. morethan once, during the late 70'sm sporting their [urple satin band jackets. Is a sort of country pop metal
Exile is from Richmond, KY and before they really got famous they sang at my uncle's high school prom at Garrard County High School in Lancaster, KY. He said they were absolutely fantastic.
My memory of this song is...when I was about 11 years old I was on a long car trip with my brother and Dad traveling from Kentucky to Louisiana to spend 2 weeks with Dad. I was in the backseat..it was dark out..we'd been driving for HOURS and this came on the radio..so I started singing along cause I knew the words. Im not really paying attention to the actual meaning of the words. In my mind, kissing her all over was like kissing her whole arm like whats-his-face did with Mortisha on the Addams Family, until my Dad boldly and sternly said "don't sing that song!". Lol. Im thinking "why not..whats wrong with it?". Unbeknownst to him thats all I thought about now the rest of the trip, trying to figure out where he's kissing on her that's got Dad all out of sorts and jumping all over me. Sometimes it's just best to leave it alone and not draw attention to things when dealing with young minds. Haha 😂
Was never much of a disco fan but this Exile song reminded me of a song I loved in the early 70's. The song took a song like this one up a few degrees. lol, Brings a smile to my face when I watch the video. Definitely a banger. I'd love to see your reaction. Ohio Players - Fire • TopPop
70s were great. They played their own instruments, no autotune and no fentanyl.
Loved this song, loved this band. They didn't have a lot of hits on the pop charts but did pretty well on the country charts. Lots of great music.

My man Kabir! You've just discovered the reason drive in movies were a thing in America.
I was in high school when I first heard this ..in the 80s. OMG..the backseat
I know this song from ‘Happy Gilmore’. Adam Sandler sings it to his girlfriend through an intercom as she’s leaving him.
I think our whole generation knows this song from that lmfao.

I went to college in Kentucky in the town they formed, and they have some great songs. Love this band. ❤

Great song I remember it
Love this song. It came out in the eighties when I was a teen. It was a crossover hit on both country and rock radio.
Exile is from Richmond, KY and before they really got famous they sang at my uncle's high school prom at Garrard County High School in Lancaster, KY. He said they were absolutely fantastic.
Got to go back stage at one of their concerts in Nashville and enjoy a little food from the catering table.

It sure is a baby making song.
Have you tried Louder Than Bombs by BTS or House of Cards also by BTS. Or Ateez Wonderland or Answer?
He is not talking about the things he is going to do to her. He wants to be for her.
I bet your parents know this song.

Explain why you think this song is terrible.
