there are definitely some steps apple did to make logic move in the right direction, but it still leaves quite a bit to be desired. I really hope they look at revamping the audio workflow. It’s incredibly counter intuitive.

LOUD SOUND AT 8:05 and 14:02 ! turn the volume down during these parts lol. * I ended up cutting the sounds out- they were insanely polarizing and ear piercing*
The Media Assistant App now has a IAP called Audio Tagger which is great for auto tagging you sample libraries. Also it acts as a AU instrument can sit in Logic as such and has multiple drag and drop out of the AU which gets around the issue of using split screen mode to get samples in.

I guess you can use the files app in slide over mode to make it a bit quicker, but without previews it’s a no from me… can’t believe there’s no way to import your own samples into the integrated browser, seems like the most basic feature of any DAW
just saw there’s an app called “Sample Crate” that’s basically a sample browser with previews. still sucks that you need a separate app though 😆
You can preview the samples! Just have to tap on them which is still annoying

Nice video men, and thank you for your have made a good overlook about how it’s is working logic for the iPad. I will say that there’s two option maybe in the future.
Once is that Apple is waiting that more user buy the iPad to make music; and the second ones is that if this is not going to happen, they don’t going to kill the future sales for the MacBook for the people that are thinking to invest to make music.
So it’s about time, and in the meantime they can take advantage to give this experience with subscription that I know for all of music creators really sucks. 🤮🤷🏻♂️

The more videos I watch about logic on ipad the more i appreciate usng my mpc 4000 & korg triton recording into Protools 9.
we want to be there with mobile technology. we’re close. but also nothing beats an mpc of any kind

I wish Android could have ways to encode DSP Stuff properly, no wonder Apple is so prevalent in the music scene.
I assume you use Logic Pro on iPad for your Twin 3?
I use DRambo mostly for sound design tbh. Logic is still really clunky and DRambo is a semi modular workflow very similar to bitwig for sound design. Yeah I hope Android gets up to speed for music stuff too
I have Riffer and Chord by Audio Modern but I find them counter intuitive. Can you recommend a good MIDI FX app for that?

As a DAW I’ve found this to be…horrendous. Several hard limitations where any one of them would be a non-starter.
As a collection of instruments to run off of an iPad, I’d say it’s great. So maybe I can make a keys rig out of it?
Nope…I get too many crashes to even consider using those instruments live…
So at this point the only use I can really get out of it is a portable recording rig so uhhhh…it’s a tape machine that needs a subscription. Not impressive. Would rather just use a small laptop with Logic for Mac or any other actually functional DAW.
I’m pretty disappointed as well. Though a lot of capabilities “exist” it’s a chore and day of labor to make it happen

Was just curious as to why my comment was the only one you hadn't replied to, so I logged out only to find you have me shadow-banned. Would be curious to know what I have done to deserve this, as I can't think of anything.
I don’t think it’s a shadow ban, it happens to me all the time on yt where comments don’t show up for days/ weeks.
@@AlckemyThanks! However, the comment shows on any browser (computer, phone & tablet) when I'm logged into RUclips, but disappears when I log out. This is, as far as I know, the way to determine whether my comments have been hidden from public view a la shadow-ban.
I think this is only something that you can choose, so if you haven't done so then something weird is happening.

Anyway...I originally wrote to recommend trying GSDSP MMMm. It's a free modulator plugin (Audio and MIDI version. Also on iOS, Windows and Mac). I've not tried it, but I'm pretty sure it works with Logic iPAD.

I know it's trivial but the way you are shown a folder when you open Logic - a la GarageBand. It doesn't make a difference to how you make music but it gets on my tits a little....
workflow kind of does make a difference and the lack of connectivity to folders drive me crazy lol
