He was a sapper with the 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and was stationed at Nui Dat in Phuoc Tuy province. He liked to play this song, among others, as it reminded him of when he was rec leave with his mates drinking and having fun. So I grew up with the band. We had the best music ever for about 40 years. Not a bad run. And we can relive it any old time.
