      Elvis? He was a Rock for sure but the real Mountain was Bo Diddley and the same Statement counts for The Rolling Stones vs Velvet Underground.
      Try to compare the Song from VU "I can't stand it" with the Stones Hit in the same Year and u will see what i mean.
      PS: The best Part of "Jumpin Jack Flash" was from 3:13 til the End & the Rest before was... 😴

    • @TheFakeyCakeMaker
      @TheFakeyCakeMaker 3 года назад +34

      Exactly, this is what soooooo many miss about his drumming, his power came from that beautiful understated playing, that's why I think Ruby Tuesday is such a great track. He could have easily been tapping all the way through it but no, he's just in on the chorus and right at the end that little sparkle on the toms absolutely gorgeous. I am actually writing this with tears in my eyes. RIP Charlie. Such a loss.

He was a sapper with the 2nd Battalion Royal Australian Regiment and was stationed at Nui Dat in Phuoc Tuy province. He liked to play this song, among others, as it reminded him of when he was rec leave with his mates drinking and having fun.
