Unbelievable, I tried since yesterday everything under the sun, even asked an IT guy, no results. And You, my friend, the first option you offered, by running Command Prompt and do the chkdsk fixed the flash drive in minutes. No data loss, the drive is back to normal and accessible like nothing ever happened. I am actually still speechless... Thank you very much.

Thank you for your valuable help. With chkdsk /r it took about 3 hours for my ext. disc Apacer 1TB (which otherwise was completely preserved and without bumps or falls) to fully recover. My advice to everyone: DO NOT interrupt commands to copy the huge amount of data you have already given - by no means! Thanks again!

I had same problem and I went to 3 shops in MY; two they said it can not be fixed while the third one asked for 450 USD. Then I decided to watch your clip and follow your suggestion. Yes the software you recommended is charged me 70 USD BUT I am very happy with that and it recovered all the data which is only the copy I have of all my work. Thanks a lot brother for your help. I used easeUS.

bro thanks for ur help but whats my problem is sometimes my disk opens and it shows the memory it occupied and it shows the folders inside the disk but when i check the properties its not showing the memory at all, its showing like 0 bytes. by the way the two softwares u suggested not working. finally thanks for the reply

+muhammadlilg Can you help me with something? So after I formatted the disk and recovered all my lost files were am I suppose to put them? Because its telling me that I cannot put them back on the same usb stick or it won't recover properly.
Well you will need to put them in another drive. If you dont have another drive then what you can do is to save the files on another computer. You will need to share a folder from the other computer and access it on the computer your recovering the files on, then try to recover the files to the other computers shared folder. Hope that helps.

after going crazy finding for the right recovery software to help me recover one terabyte of memory, i finally came across this video tutorial. All my files are restored and my hard drive has now been recognized once again all thanks to the Check disk command prompt. Going back to the basics sure does help! Thanks a lot! Oh my goodness... The f method worked for me. Thank you so much! At fist I was afraid because at some places they wrote that it can damage files, at some places that it won't, but it worked like a charm for me. I had like 10 years of family photos and videos and multiple PC backups on the HDD. Thank you again!!

Hi, which app did you use? I also have around 200 GB of data corrupted because of the failure system during the file transfer, but I am too afraid to try the third party app because I had trauma that once I failed to recover my file in the flash disk.

@@mckinzie4934 If you format it they'll be lost. I think. I didn't want to format it before doing this because it scared me. However doing this my files are pretty dameged but I think it's because my drive could have been having a virus.

You can use the e a s e us software linked in the description to try your luck but at times some videos that may get recovered can become corrupted due to how a file is stored fragmented on a drive. Still you never know.

This software displays lost files for free, but recovering it needs money.
