@kyafikaloo7268 the Institute of jamaica (IOJ), National Museum of Jamaica, and the national library of jamaica are some places that houses these records. @Po'JoTheBackpacker Great vlog, really brought back memories of school trip as a child in prep school (about 6 years old). What happen to Giddy House, that is the attraction at Port Royal. Living in New York almost 50 years. FYI...That was not a term of endearment. It never will be considering that Buju Banton spent time in US prison because of his lyrics, plus Jamaica does not have a pleasant history - see asylum seekers who claim Homophobic and discrimination as the reason for wanting to leave Jamaica. Your host may have been trained on cultural tours in Jamaica; however, being call a ba**yman is NOT! Don't ever let anyone disrespect you like that, especially if you don't know them. No-no-no!!!!!!! Please read, and research. Just like BBC is NOT appropriate language, it wreaks of vulgarity, it is foul, classless and ignorant - Spice (Dancehall entertainer) actually glorified it (the word) on a trip in Europe and my people forgot their self respect and respect for others. I also would love to see how it looked in the time of Paul Bogle and Sam Sharpe Rebellion. I really can't settle for the images people hv of what they believed it might have looked like.
@@kyafikaloo7268 are there any “massa” house still up in Jamaica? Where i am from in America there are a lot next to where i lived in NC. I actually was going to do a video on one but it was just me by myself and i was rambling lol
@kyafikaloo7268 the Institute of jamaica (IOJ), National Museum of Jamaica, and the national library of jamaica are some places that houses these records. As you can imagine, guided tours such as those that would be given at like Fort Charles are so on are at times a little "dressed up or diluted" for the tourists.
@@PoJoTheBackPackeryou can visit Sligoville Great House or Seville Great House
I think this location 'Lime Key'' was in the James Bond movie Dr. No'.
I truthfully have no idea
@@PoJoTheBackPacker you can also research, other James Bond movies such as 'Live and Let Die'' and ''No Time to Die. which were shot in Jamaica Ian Flemming The author still has his house in Jamaica where people can visit and stay over.
Pojo, yuh block di people dem way. Context is really important as I taught the man called you a batty man for no reason at all. When I am driving here. Anyone that impedes me I call them "batty man", "sadamite". I understand why she said it's a form of endearment to subliminally say that it is coming from a place of annoyance. My people are special. Love them.
Bro trust me ur the only person that gets it. I know i was in his way and i know he didn’t mean it derogatory he was just talking junk lol
@@PoJoTheBackPacker he is just pissed off that you walked out in traffic. Bro. When I am home I say it a lot to people but it’s not to be hateful. I am just annoyed of how they don’t have any regards for drivers.
@@prestonmatthews725 😂😂

Yea if i was a kid i would enjoy it more lol
The bus driver said that in the proper English way for you to understand what was said.
I’m aware
Are you going to Giddy House
I probably should
I probably should
Juicy beef patties or the best
@@staminadon u think so?
Tastee is best to me...
I grew up in Kingston St Andrew so I grew up eating Tastee patties and I had never had Juici beef patties until I returned to Jamaica 20 years after leaving. I tried with my family and we all agreed that Juici beef patties were better. I bought the Tastee patties at Sugar and Spice. I don’t know if they’re still buying their patties from Tastee like they used to. It was good but not as good as Juici beef patties. I was relieved that Sugar and Spice still had those DELICIOUS danish whirls-my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE pastries! 🤤
The reason if u come to tastees and cant bother to join the line and wait to collect the patties, its quicker to buy it from the vendors. Its like $30 more or so. U should totally try juici cheese patties
Ay cheese patty okay lol
Yoo 😂 Po Jo I came here b4
lol it’s nice
"Nuh mek nuh ghost fool yu!" Some Jamaican Patios (DIALECT/pronounced Pat-wah)
I just wanna clarify i don’t swing that way haha i think she was just trying to soften the blow lol im all good i didn’t take what he said for anything
Buju did not go to jail for his lyrics 🤣. I see you’re spreading misinformation.
@Po’Jo The Backpacker Being called a B* Man is never a compliment.
I know it’s not 😂
Hey Pojo.... PLEASE The Kingston Harbour is NOT a Bay.... Its a Harbour and the 7th largest natural Harbour in the world.
Thank you for correcting me
@@PoJoTheBackPacker i don't understand why we keep on boasting that the Kingston harbour is the 7th largest natural harbor in the world..Not in the top 5 but we gonna make everyone knows. lol
