To each their own but all your complaints are things I personally don't care about, Batman Returns is my favorite movie ever I'm just glad this exists. 🙂
Honestly , I love the shadow box look. For someone who has a modern interior . It really fits the modern approach . I always found the regular Lego set looks kind of gimmick and not modern enough …. If that makes any sense . The sense of reveal and the unassuming interior is so unique . I would proudly display this in my living room without it looking to childish . It is defiantly one of the more sophisticated looking Lego set .
After seeing the Flash, I think this batcave was meant to be a tie in for that movie. I can’t confidently say that, but it feels like it was simple for them to just adjust it and make it a Burton era Batman set and remove the elements that would relate it to that movie.
I don’t really like display sets, because if I’m gonna put in all the effort to build it and all, I better get to play with it. I think I deserve to have some fun with my LEGO set.
it may not move due to the cowl and cape but that is movie accurate. In the movie he always had to move his shoulder in order to look because of that issue too
It’s been growing on me after seeing it at the Lego store, only issue is it doesn’t hit like Rivendell.. both are expensive sets but Rivendell is a “shut up and take my money,” type of good.
I can't wait to get my hands on it. I already own two small batman Lego sets. It will be perfect for my imagination when I play with it and display it in my room. Also I'm planning to get more small Lego batman sets in the future. 😍
As much as I like the "unique" take on it, I still feel rather ripped off with the price and pieces when most of them are only used for... well, building the 'box'. Personally I prefer Lego pieces being used to resemble buildings, interiors, or figures. But that's just me.
It is a batcave in a box which is a great concept but for me it just lacks something when compared to other sets in this price range, also having the batmobile as a cheaper set(yes I know the build is slightly different) but it does take away from the exclusivity of the set
the concept is great but the execution is not on the same level,if you are a fan then it may be worth getting but for me it just lacks the wow factor that i expect when paying these higher prices for sets like this, when you consider the castle as a direct comparison the difference is night and day as they are that far apart in all aspects and both are at a similar price point making it a pass for my collection
Gonna get it and the light set. This is the biggest piece batman set I've seen. A couple companies make a light set that will make this pop and I'll probably pop a joker and riddler somewhere in there, you know; all that "wasted space". Just use your imagination.
This should have just been a Batcave set i see no added value with the extra pieces they put into building the shadow box and the Batmobile is the same as the 76224 set could have been sold separately. For the price i'd rather buy the Cantina or Lion Knights Castle.
Lego cheaped out on the minifigures and that is going to cost them big time. Put your money to better use with far superior sets and don't reward laziness by spending 400$ on poor Lego decisions.
100%. The quality of the minifigures will probably be the reason I skip this one. The set has a small amount of figures and several of them feel half finished. Catwoman NEEDED leg printed to fully capture her suit. The penguin’s skin tone is way off. Max Skrek is an inaccurate mishmash. At $400 minifigures is not the place to cheap out.

Just picked this up, whoever thinks it’s not worth it might b insane.

thats what i thought when it showed the batmobile
Way too nitpicky here. It's a shadow box. I don't know what they could do to make the batcave be more than what it is, which is pretty darn good.

Yeah I love the accurate lego rubber cowl! Exactly what I came here to say
This looks like an amazing display piece. I’d display it in my apartment if I was crazy enough to spend $400 on it.
I would spend 400 if I had a bigger space.
I’m a big Keaton fan so this set was a must for me

The castle and rivendell are both amazing, this is a great idea but not on the same level as the other two especially for a similar price
I REALLY like the design of the box and the way it opens but yeah the price is VERY high if it only has one vehicle !?
I'm surprised that they didn't include some circus people and Penguins with missiles on their backs.
Just wow, I've never seen such a unique LEGO set, it's just massive 😃However it's not cheap at all
Love it! Building it now. It’s massive in person.
I love it! I display mine open on a shelf. It looks great!
One concept not mentioned is the building experience which influenced the desire to buy this set... that and the novelty of the design.

agreed.

the pricing of these larger sets is just ridiculous.

If it was $300 I'll buy it. $400... nah
The separate batmobile set looks good, but you have forgotten to mention its price 😢
I see a Wayne mansion box on top of this one. Cool set but needs a bit of color here and there.

This set just needed a few more minifigs to put it over the top.
Looks amazing!
I love that set, but will probably wait for sales or discount prices to get it.
Is the set worth buying?
Great review. How long in inches is the set when fully opened? Thanks.
about 42 inches.
@@onlinejfk okay thanks so much

Where's the Batskiboat?
People complaining about the Batman ShadowBOX being too BOXXY? Someone stop the earth...I want off!
