- Day 113 - After a few days of hiking in wet clothes, the weather just wouldn't get better. Little Bee and I were ready to get off the trail so I arranged a connection for a trail angel through my in-reach. We were very fortunate to have Dawn trail angel for us again. She is an amazing and kind person. Thank you for everything, Dawn!

We all knew you had a crush on little bee, and you manned up and admitted it. That was manly of you.. Looking forward to the next video, Thanks for being so inspirational!!! We love you also...
The change in you is astounding. And I'm not talking about the physical. You don't laugh at everything anymore, which I think was your way of protecting yourself. The real you is coming out more and more.
I think the confidence he's gained is just as impressive as the weight loss!
I just went back and watched his first couple videos. It's amazing how much healthier he is now! I don't think he would have had the confidence to go over the wobbly log in this video back in January. But then again he's beaten everything the trail has thrown at him. Except the strategic retreat portions, but many people chose to go around the snow covered mountains. I'm glad Corey did. Spring snow is the most dangerous. You can post-hole straight through it up to your waist, or slide on ice hidden by fresh snow. It's sharp and cuts skin and gear too. It's not light and fluffy happy snow unless you're skiing it - then spring snow is awesome!!
Remember the axiom of thru hikers. "Never quit on a bad day".
SurfK9 Heard that....?
Look at you balancing across a little log and not getting your feet wet... That is a great amount of progress both mentally and physically. So happy to see you changing your life for the better!!! Keep the great videos coming!
I was thinking the same. Early on he'd call that "not fat friendly". Now he doesn't think twice about it.
Now I'm curious about how Little Bee feels for you There must be at least a fondness if she adjusted her pace for so long to stay by your side. Even if it doesn't become more, I know you'll have a good friendship. Maybe will find out more in a future video (but not too much, since we don't need to pry).
My goodness! You are a changed man and you have inspired so many people to get up and Try!!! Most men go their grave never having been such a model of what is possible to others! Keep your eye on the prize! #hikeyourhike
Can ya all imagine Cory making it to Canada minus 200lbs and plus a relationship ...it would set the hiking RUclips community on fire!
Cory you have given much to many in this journey by the humble person you are. Perhaps the most awakening, we are more than the body form we occupy. Your spirit emerged day 1 and captured us. I soon didn’t see a “ Big Guy” but a wonderfully kind caring soul.
Best to you.
The suck comes with the joy and the adventure, so embrace the suck. You are looking great, walking a 1000 times better than when you started, keep pushing, keep stepping, just keep stepping, see the adventure even on the bad days. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with million dollar views!! Beauty even in a rain storm.
Keep trucking!!! Back in 2005, my Little Bee was named Bloody Knuckles. She got ahead and it was for the best. The hike is about you. Be at peace with yourself and all that will come.
I love that you had a crush on someone with the trail name Bloody Knuckles. :D
It’s a winter wonderland...👏 that looks beautiful.
How can you appreciate the good if you have not experienced the bad.
Never quit on a bad day...warm shower, wash and dry those clothes, rest those feet.....and get back out there. You are doing great....amazing the changes
Thanks so much for sharing your journey, I look forward to it each few days.
Perfect music.
Look at you Mr Corey 🤩😍 I do believe Little Bee gives you strength to challenge yourself even more. Very impressive 👍👍❣️
This is preparation for Washington weather where you really need to have your wet/dry systems down.
Yeah, u got that right 😮
Oregon getting some of it.... Been a crazy season this go around 🤪🤔
Bookmarking this as a video to turn to when encountering a rough patch in my next big adventure. You have such a beautiful soul and spirit and attitude. Editor, great work too! The video content and choice of music are so well matched and moving. Love this collaboration you have going.
Just 2cool second chance!! You have a strong will and have touched so many people with your positive smile and hugs..please always keep a change of clothes in a dry bag.!! It will be a life saver if in snow and ice..i hope she feels the same way about you..keep on keepin on!! You are a blessing to all of us who are enjoying your adventure.big hug to ya!!!
Listening to the pace of your footsteps! Wow! What a long way you have come. Not just in foot miles! You are so amazing! Please keep up the good faith!
You’re doing fabulous. You made it and need a zero. You’ve earned it and you body needs to restore much needed energy. Hike you hike. Thank you for sharing your journey. You are influencing so many people. Highly possible you will become a great motivational speaker. Something to think about. Kudos to your achievements.
Luv when you said need to enjoy the trail & be an adventure, not just do miles! Glad you got chance to dry out. You & little bee will figure things out. Your getting stronger by the day & give average hiker run for their money soon!
Rockstar you enjoy your crush which tells us we're human. You are moving so skillfully through hikes now. So proud of you. Rock on rockstar!
After all that rain and snow, the desert looked good.
An adventure has adversity and reward. Your upgraded body is certainly one reward. Making friends is another. Seeing beauty is yet another. Keep going! (Good three-point technique on that log crossing! )
Glad you found another friend to hike with. You are getting stronger with each passing day. Happy hiking and be safe. Love your videos
I am so enjoying the transformation in you. Your editing is even better and, of course, your personal transformation is very inspirational.
DOING IT!// lots of amazing scenes in these last 2 videos thanks for taking us with you. i see you flipped northward, good idea/ snow is insane in Sierras for now// thinking of you and the rest of the PCT hikers after our desert trip we stopped and left 3 gallons water and a gatorade at the CA58/PCT intersection. Anyone heading that way get off at Cameron rd, PCT is on the north side of 58 / there was no water until we left some and it is Hot out there so please stop and leave some if you can///
Hustle man! You're doing your outstanding best with little bee 🐝+🏃
Hey Cory, I'm sitting in Mt Shasta taking a zero and quitting has crossed my mind. It is definitely as much a mental game as a physical one. Hoping to meet you on the trail some day.
Downhill
Hey Cory
As difficult as it may be to let go of Little Bee, this is your thru hike and you should hike your own hike, not Little Bee’s. And she should hike her own as well. It would be great if you could stay together until you reach the Canadian border but it seems your hiking speeds and ranges are significantly different. It may be time to do the difficult thing. Just my opinion for what it’s worth. Really happy to see how far you’ve come. Godspeed my friend.
I just learned about you thru Dixie. Seeing you now vs the photo she posted of you at. the start is astonishing and exciting - so incredibly motivating!!! And that you are now on day 113 and still going says it all. Congratulations and I'm now following you.
Corey your crushing it! Hold your head up high. Stay healthy.
Darlin, your doing terrific. Channel your inner Dixie. Like others have said, don't quit on a bad day. When you've decided that you have reached your goal, stop on a good day. Much love and respect from your home state. 🌻
Oh I hope you get to look back at this footage and see how beautiful that trail was with the fresh snow! I'm sure it SUCKED being cold and wet, but wow was that pretty!
Think Canada ! You can do it ! You are amazing, don’t give up .
Don’t worry about women dude. Just keep your mind on why you’re out there. That’s the true challenge of all this. The trail.
Get dry and warm. Proud of you kicking A out of that log. Keep rocking brother.
Good to hear you are hiking with a buddy.
That weather is insane! And Cory, we all love you , too. ❤️
We love you too!
Seconds Chance is Bee Happy 👍😎 Good luck 🍀🍀🍀 my unknown friend!!!! 😇
Happy Sunday to you my hiking friend. Thank you for another tagalong. Two thumbs up on this fine video. You are to be commended for your courage and perseverance. Be safe out there.
🤗
You are so sweet. Take a day to warm up and dry off and reflect . Love u ❤️
It sure looks like an adventure to me!
I got a real feeling of how down you were feeling. But even then you keep a heathy attitude. Love you, man.
I know the feeling regarding wet, miserable weather. I nearly quit the JMT back in 2015 after 3 straight days of rain with no dry clothes except my base layer. At least my sleeping bag was still dry though. Fortunately, the sun came out and I was able to get my stuff dried. No rain for the next 7 days saved my hike. Keep going; it always gets better eventually.
Not gonna lie, the only channel I look forward to seeing new uploads!
You are loved by all your follows, Cory! I get my happy , feel good fix watching you. Staying with you every step of the way.
As an older, married guy: I'm happy for the experiences I've had. Even those that didn't go the way I had hoped for. Life takes a lot of experiences, trial and errors to make right. And as long as you proudly go into those experiences as you do, and learn from them, things will probably work out right in the end. God only knows when, so just go on and hope for the best, and it probably will one way or another.
Cold, wet but beautiful trail
Glad you were able to get off the trail to get everything dry. That should be a huge boost for you.
What a perfect song choice!
Cory , your doing an awsom job , my wife even asks how your doing now and then and since i had her watch your Day 1 video , shes VERY impressed with your journey as well. Thank You for your videos and Thank you Little Bee for hiking with him.
Great to see you pressing on through wind, cold, wet, pain and uncertainty.
You are a beloved modern day hero!
Human growth is a wonderful thing, but equally emotionally challenging. You are changing so much each day....and finding out more about yourself and what you want out of life andI know you are seeing so many possibilities for your life and relationships that maybe you didn’t before...but hang in there ....you may not be able to keep up with Little Bee, but you are really doing so well...You have to stay true to yourself and what you can do and trust that if the relationships that you have been forming, but having to let go a bit.....will still be there as time goes on, if meant to be....try to stay focused on your original goal....I have a feeling that things will work out the way they are supposed to for you Corey....you just can’t see the end of the story yet....love ya!!
Hey, you're doing great!!! Proud of you, and the effort. And a 25 mile day.WOW!! Just don't hurt yourself.
Yay over the cold stream!
I’m sorry that you were so wet and miserable, but man, was that some beautiful territory! Dry up, warm up, and get back out there. Wishing you the best!
The part just before Tehachapi (the windy canyon) and just after were really hard this year. I was there around the same time as you. My group and I got to Kennedy Meadows on May 27th and got snowed on that day. That was what made us decide to not enter the Sierra just then and to flip to NorCal. Even after flipping and returning to the Sierra, I got 80 miles in, and decided to take some time off. I'll be returning in 10 days. This year has been crazy weather-wise!
You're kicking ass!! Stay safe, have fun and keep a healthy pace, don't hurt yourself. That is definitely good weather to cuddle by a fire with a cute girl! 🥰
You're doing fantastic boy!! So glad to see another update!! Nice combo of update/scenic video. Very well done editor!!
Great job. Enjoying the video's...Thanks!
OMG! You are ferocious, Cory!
Thank you, Dawn! Love, Little Bee!
Yes, challenges and rewards too!
I love your courage in hiking the PCT. You've come so far that it is just an inspiring moment every time I watch your videos. Blessings and trail angels along the way will see you through.
You are doing amazing! I look forward to all of your videos.
That's an awesome update 💖 Thank you stay warm & God Bless you
It's too bad her visa is probably 6 months and will have to leave you at some point . But look at the bright side , when your done you can get a visa for Germany.
Thank you for sharing. Truly motivating videos.
Goodness gracious look at that snow! Stand strong young man!
So sorry that it’s so hard right now....👍🏻
It makes me wonder what the elevation is. He seems a little out of breath. He must be way up in the mountains.
alex riddles he would be that far up... it makes it terribly hard to breath the further up he climbs, plus he’s on that incline...
You are looking so good! Keep on keeping on! Good for you!
Right on!! 25 mile day!! You are truly inspiring! I’m planning on hiking part of the PCT next year! You’ve been a HUGE inspiration!! Thank you so much Second Chance ❤️
So proud of all you are doing. Again thank you for sharing your journey. Keep trekking.
Keep it up! You rock! My hero and inspiration.
Your rocked that little log crossing!!! Hell yeah! 🙆♀️❤
I'm so proud of you, and the accomplishments you've reached.
You should be an inspirational speaker after this ❤❤

It's good to have a crush. Awesome! Woooohooo! 👍Makes life worth hiking for (or something like that).
you are awesome! love ya man! keep up the good work!
Wow, you are just flying along in comparison to your first video, so proud of you SCH. YOU LOOK SO MUCH STRONGER. Thanks for the beautiful videos and sharing your incredible journey. Hope you get warm and dried out and have some rest.
go on friend. you are inspiring.
Whatever happens, happens. It all works out...
Once upon a time you would contemplate and study a stream crossing for minutes. Now, you just cross.
Tough and challenging but dang you are really looking stronger and stronger as you go and by doing so at your own pace :) Keep it up!!
You’re a warrior !
You are amazing!
Dude! 25 miles! That is a Darwin sized day! Good job!
He injured his feet and was off trail for a few days. One of the pitfalls of pink blazing. But he is doing 15 mile days now.
I hope you are doing fine, waiting for your video..Just be careful and you can do it ..We love you..
You are doing great....,I remember your first stream crossings, now look at you!
Wow looks hard but still so amazing. Thanks for sharing ;)
I hear you on the crying, Corey. I'm doing a fair amount of that myself. I've hiked my whole life -- Even as a kid, we'd hike the cow paths on my grandparents' acreage with our "snake sticks." My maternal grandfather, Papa, and my dad, though he was a heavy smoker and didn't hike and whatnot, really nurtured a love of outdoors. Hiking isn't so accessible right now. I'm doing a lot of yoga and love it. It's different from being on a trail, so it's nicer than I can tell you, to see your videos. I cry about different things. Some of it, even though my recent divorce was a good thing, is about feeling lonely. Even on those days where you might wish you could just sit down and not hike another step, your determination is going to help get you to the next happy place :) I think as humans we must need something to push against ;) Also, about health effects of the hike on your body (Little Bee said something?) --- You're doing great, and if you have aches and whatnot later on, there are ways to alleviate that kind of pain. We're in human bodies, imperfection is perfection, and don't let anyone make you question yourself too much.
You are doing awesome! You are hiking long and strong. Your clothes are getting so baggy! Might be time to get smaller sizes. So proud of your progress. Keep listening to your body and stay safe. ❤🎶❤🎶
you are amazing brother. i wish i could get back out on any trail ive been stuck home for a couple weeks now
Loved the winter wonderland shots. Great job crossing that stream. That was a leg breaker. The old Cory would have walked thru the water. Good luck with Little Bee. Some hard decisions ahead. Thanks for sharing with us.
Be encouraged brother. You can do this. There will be great times ahead. Your gear will dry. You will make friends on the trail and here. You are getting results. You will be a much different man when you finish. Like life, the trail has trials. Every time you make it through one you are stronger physically and emotionally. I never miss an episode.
Way to go my friend. Keep it going
great hike balancing just a pleasure watching ur journey 70 an 30
Nice!. Keep moving forward..

Doing great out there, nothing stands in your way. 👍
Pace yourself and take breaks when needed.
Embrace the suck as in life perseverance is the key during bad times.
You are an exceptional human and every day on your journey reveals you are a success. See you in Cascade locks OR.✌️🏾😳👍🏾👌🏾😊
Picked up at Kelso Valley road, you are in my neighborhood now. Been following your progress in what I thought was near real time, however it has not snowed in the Sierra since late May. You could be in Oregon by now (my other neighborhood). Anyway I enjoy your posts, keep up the good work, I’m rooting for you!
You did a 25 miler!!! And look at you now, truck'en down the trail, crunching the miles, crossing streams on logs and rocks. And BEAUTIFUL scenes caught with great photography! Don't overdo it, but at the same time, don't lose your momentum
You inspire me!
