    My grandparents bought an eminent organ for me, it was a larger model with more preset registrations and sounds. Telstar was a favourite, sounded like the synth on wonderful Christmas time, one of the arpeggio accompaniments sounded like the one on Freddie Mercury song Living on my own. You could mix the rhythms by pressing multiple buttons at once. I wish I had the space for it after my grandad passed away, noone wanted It and It had to be dumped. It would only fit on a large van and needed at least 3 strong people to lift it.

    Witnessing the start of something we could call "The One Note Is All It Takes Movement" really was an honour ;-)! A pleasure to watch & listen the sound shaping possibilities of this vintage organ. The rhythm section has some drumcomputer appearance, not only because of the retrig bar. Thanks for sharing :-)!

    I've got the 310 Unique Theater and I've got to tell you, I'm a bit jealous of these Hammond-esque tibia section, mine only got 16', 8' and 4', no lit buttons or automated accompaniment, but I can see that there are a few more limitations regarding mixing the sound together.

    If you switch it back on and off after unplugging it, that will discharge most of the capacitors so you don't get a sneaky electric shock.
    I remember being in a hotel in Ibiza with my parents in the 1980s and some of the evening entertainment was a chap playing one of these Eminent organs. For some reason I want to say it was very shiny black. Was there a black, triple manual model?

    Nice one Steve, having watched the start I was distracted by the offer of food, and on my return I could have sworn you said 'slug tape', thinking I had misheard some new electronics terminology I was surprised to hear you mention it again. I am looking forward to the next installment where I assume all will be revealed. I am a little disappointed that you aren't able to salvage a peddle board or perhaps even better still make one from a timber panel and those big colorful buttons that they use on 'modern' one armed bandits laid out in a keyboard pattern placed down where the old pedals were. They could light up when you press them too, for the full 'dancing disco feet' experience, come on you know you want to do it! btw The words you were looking for were ribbon cable :0)

      @kentaccordionist 4 месяца назад

      @@michaelknight4041 As yet I don’t have the Taurus. I have watched lots of videos and it sounds really good, I do intend purchasing one eventually, but the stalling point for me at the moment is the price of a midi pedal board. Why the hell Uli couldn’t have made it with the pedals like the original I do not know. I’ve been researching but as yet I can’t find a pedal board new or secondhand at a price I like. I own 11 behringer synths and hope eventually to own every one they make. Quality is great and so is the sound, and the price point.

    Eminent had 1 problem. within the organisation there were 2 camps. the classical (eminent omegan: now eminent lelystad) and the populair organist site. The last one lost the battle cause the couldnt jump into the keyboard market at time.... otherwise they would have better products than yamaha and roland................ They were ahead of their times and the sound of their bigger organs are fenomenal. (john mann organist : search for him on youtube) .. But the christ-reformed part of the factory left the building and started their own factory at lelystad, and are producting now organs in a tradition for over 30 years. Slighty better than 30 years ago. (not really renewed) . And have now also a hauptwerk division. Organs are good (sturdy) and technically good. but hanged in time.
