Great build idea. My favorite part is watching your kids try to figure it out 🤣
Thanks so much! It was really funny to hear their ideas. I had to cut a lot out 😂
I accepted the challenge. I had some wood discs cut from an oak three years ago. They were not flat or even. Took a few min.s to build a router sled. Next I had to build a circle jig. Turned out great. I left the live edge on it for character. My grandson will love it. Thanks for the inspiration.
So awesome!!
I like your parenting style, your approach, and accessibility. Thank you Tamar.
☺️☺️☺️
Great work. Your kids reacted exactly how I expect my girls would. "Do you throw the marbles?"
Hahah! It was really funny listening to their ideas of how to play. I had to edit out a lot of them!
@@3x3CustomTamar You should post the full version lol I was interested in hearing their guesses cuz I started trying to guess also.
You are seriously the coolest mom ever (and also, the coolest friend). This looks awesome! 🙌
🤘🤘 such a fun challenge. Thanks for banding us all together!
It's so refreshing to have a non-blond showing her beauty, skills and laughter teaching us master woodworking talent!!! The bonus is the pure excitement from your children seeing and playing with your new project. I'm so glad I came across your site recently. My Gain and I Thank You, w.w./Oklahoma
Do you know a blonde builder channel? Would love to follow them too
The kids reaction is priceless. Fun fact. You built the "European" version that has 37 holes. There is a common version that has 33 holes. The extra four holes being at those inside corners on the second row from the bottom at each branch. Supposedly, mathematicians say the 37 hole version can't be solved for one marble left in the middle while it is possible with the 33 hole version.
Maybe that’s why we still can’t beat it. Ha.
I love the kiddo demonstration!
☺️☺️
Thanks for dredging up memories of my childhood, playing this game at my grandparents home in Scotland. I found a great bit of wood and built one for my grandchildren to play with at our house here in Australia. I hope that in 50 years time they might remember, and pass the game on to their grandchildren too - wherever they might be in the world by then.
Glad you enjoyed it! I hope the same thing. 😊
Tamar, this was a nice project and I appreciate that it was done on a 'pristine' workbench like mine. My kids each have grown kids of their own, but I still remember the cries of "I'm first!"
It was fun to listen to you and your kids. Enjoy every second with them.
Haha! Thanks so much! I had to edit out a lot! They were so funny. ☺️
I had never heard of marble solitaire but its definitely going on my "mommy-do-list" 😂. It turned out amazing
Ha! Awesome! Yeah. It was super easy and the kids loved it
Two things I really liked. First, I like how you think things out during the project - If I cut this then I won't have a reference for the holes. Second, I like the well or channel you did for the marbles to sit in. I think I would spend all day pushing the marbles around the outer well.
Yeah, this was a simple project but still the order of operations were important. I love rolling the marble around the well ha.
Seus vídeos são excelentes! Faz tudo parecer fácil.
You are a great Woodworker, and a great mom! Your children must be proud of you!!
Thanks so much! ☺️☺️ they love helping me out
Ótimo trabalho...
Parabéns.
As crianças gostaram muito.

Yeah! I had one too! I always loved it. It’s been fun to see the kids excited over something other then their screens
Great project, gives me something to build tomorrow for my gkids. Thank goodness for my workshop during this period of time. Stay safe.
Awesome! Have fun with it!
3 down 12 to go,lol. Yes you cannot go wrong with walnut,as it is my favorite. Very cool and love the finish on it.
Thanks! Glad I finally put this piece to good use!
Beautiful look. Nice and bright dark.
Thanks so much! It looks cool on the coffee table. I think. Ha
Tamar, excellent, I just made one for my kids.. thanks for the great idea.
So awesome!!!
My grandmother had one of these games at her house and I played it about a billion times growing up. Cool to see how one could be made.
Yeah! My parents had it too
Awesome idea, phenomenal craftswomanship and a great game for the kids !! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 thanks for sharing !
Thanks so much! They are loving it! So happy they are taking breaks from their screens!
Kids are adorable
Thanks ☺️
Very cool. Your kids are soooo lucky to have such a smart and talented mom.👍👍👍😷
☺️☺️
Actualy 3 pieces of felt would keep the board level more so than 4 pices on an un level surface. GREAT JOB !
i had to stop several times and go back while grocery shopping today. i’m sure you do too, but it just gets edited out to that i’m massivley impressed ar your ability to plan and problem solve
☺️☺️
Brilliant. My grandson will love it.
Awesome! My kids are still having fun!
I like the method and really jealous of your routers especially the hand router. You have great kids, mine are grown and the grand kids tower over me lol. Enjoy them. Thanks for sharing.
Ha! Thanks! Glad you liked it
If there is a god, I offer my thanks to them for you, a safe port in a storm of utter insanity. Your kids are so, so lucky.
Ha. Thanks! ☺️
Great idea Tamar! 👏👏 Thanks for sharing and be safe! 😷

Great build for these times and a great game for the family. Fortunately I have plenty to keep me busy right now so I'll have to wait a while to build one. Have a Happy Easter and stay safe. Bill

I love hearing your kiddos in the background!!! Hehe!
Ha! Glad you think so! Bc they are home for a while! 🤪
Very nice - as always! All the best to you all. Stay safe!

Haha! Yeah! I started teaching them then I had to google to see if i was right 😂
Loved that game . the grain on that walnut really popped when you added the finish . Nice :-)
Right?! Such a satisfying moment
Love it!!
Thanks!
Nice job Mom! That might be a holiday gift project for me this year. Although, some people would say I have lost all my marbles. The game really came out nice. You can't go wrong with walnut. Thanks Tamar.

Fun!
It came out great! Nice wood choice too. Looks like the kids had fun with it. I liked the "do you throw them?" idea. I'll share a photo with you once mine is done.
Awesome! Can’t wait to see it! They were so funny
Amazing tutorial. Funny kids reaction:)
Thanks so much! They’re crazy. Ha
This is sooooo cool. With my first kid on the way, I have become really interested in making toys. It will be a while before my son is old enough to actually play this, but I am going to keep this build in my back pocket for when that day comes! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome. Check out my puzzle video! That’s great for little ones!!
@@3x3CustomTamar Just watched it! So cool, thanks for sharing! Looks like a good reason for me to finally try the router I bought 3 months ago and have been too scared to use 🙈
Nice build, nice game, nice family... stay safe...
Thanks! ☺️ you too!
Great job.
Thanks!
👍
Nice game, and beautiful choice of wood.
Thanks! I’m glad I went with the dark walnut
Good job love it
Thanks so much!
I like it! Great idea to keep the little brains busy. Maybe add other puzzles to the back side? Triangle golf tee comes to mind
Thanks! Could be cool
Sounds logical. Thanks!
👍👍
'Three, you're good at this'. Lol. 'Cause ya know, everyone is supposed to be better at games than mom. Great project idea for confined days. Got that set of router bits via your store. Haven't tried them on upcoming cabinet project yet. Still slow-motioning outdoor cedar Halloween maze storage boxes. Looking forward though. 😊
Haha! Awesome. Hopefully you’ll get it done soon!
Awesome work Tamar! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Thanks so much!
Perfect job . wooooow
Thanks!
Great video, love the story. Game board is beautiful. Mahalo for sharing! : )
So awesome to hear! Thanks!
Awesome job! Love your gaming videos 👍🏻
That’s so awesome to hear! Thanks!
Excellent work. Congratulations.
Thanks!
Amazing work! My kids would be happy to have the game!
Thanks! They’ve been loving it so far
Beautiful. As usual
Thanks so much!
Of course. The project is not too shabby either.
"You're going to be better when you're older" lmao, typical older brother.
-From another older brother
Great project once again.
Haha! I thought it was so sweet of him to say that
You are a great mom!
☺️☺️
Grat project!
Thanks!
Beautiful project! 3 felt pieces will actually sit as properly as 4.
Thanks! Not really, the edge of the circle over laps the plane where the triangle would be because of the 3 felt pads. If leaned on, it would wobble because the edge is far outside the triangle.
Mike you're wrong.
Nice project Tamar! Thanks for sharing it with us!💖👌👍😎JP
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Your very welcome Tamar! Have a great week!😎
nice board, that should keep them occupied for a while :)))
stay safe and cheers from Montreal🙋♂️🍁✌😊🖖👏👍
Thanks! Yeah! They’ve been trying to beat it! It’s fun to watch! Stay safe!
Good stuff!
Thanks!
Great idea and nicely done.

Great build Tamar! It's a great educational game for homescholing your kids haha

I like it! Great work!
Thanks so much!
Great build, T!!
Thanks so much!
So clever
Thanks!
i loved it, grate job
Thanks!
Wow, that's nice👍
Thanks so much!
Looks great! There is another game your kids look the perfect age to play. It's called 9 Men's Morris or Merril, or Mill. It's an ancient game that is even simpler to make and has a decent amount of strategy for people. Mine is 9" square and has 21 holes, I just used a 1 x 10". You need 9 marbles each of 2 colors. The rules are quite easy to learn - even though there are variations out there. Make it as fancy or plain as you like - my next one will have inlaid lines, just not sure what type yet. Nice work.
Never heard of it! I’ll have to look it up!
Good work Done 👍
👏 👏 👏
Thanks!
I absolutely enjoy watching you work. Wife has a bun in the oven and we are hoping for a girl. Daddy already wood works and I hope she will enjoy it as much as me.
Congrats! My daughter loves hanging in the shop with me
