Hey Larry, I really enjoy keeping up with the gorillas through your videos. Gorillas are my favorite and I super love the babies and moms. Thanks so much for bringing me so much joy, it's so interesting.
Jameela fits so smoothly into the family, it's almost hard to believe she wasn't born there and been with the group the whole time! everything went so well, thanks to Freddie, it all came down to her acceptance.
Glad she is doing well with her new troop and family we laugh and learn and benefit from the gorillas they are very smart and intelligent animals always learning something new each day from them they make good parents and grandparents and stepparents and uncles and aunties stay safe and warm out stay strong and healthy as well much love and respect and appreciation job well done really appreciate the updates please keep them coming appreciate you guys thanks !!! Jameela is right up there with Ringo from Taipei Zoo as far as cuteness overload. She's already a superstar too. Wouldn't it be cool if those two could pair up one day? This troop is just fantastic. Very peaceful and loving.
Thank you for sharing with us this sweet adoption story and the success it has been! Jameela seems to be fitting right in and Freddie is such a good momma.

Such an interesting, if brief, 'conversation' when Nneka paused to check out Freddie with her two charges. Rare to see. ✨️ Freddie's definitely got her Mama groove on. 😍 Jameela taking her foot for a ride was epic. 🌿🦍🩵 Tiny, perfect Kunda actually getting a few feet in the air, too! 😅 And Kayembe's the cutest kiddo ever. This was great, Larry - You almost need extra cameras to get all of the action. 😊
Larry, I just donated a few dollars because of the time and effort you take to bring this beautiful gorilla family to life for me. I live in Connecticut and the closest place is the Bronx zoo... And I ain't going to the Bronx😮 So thanks a lot Larry😊
Until seeing your videos, I had no idea a fifty year old gorilla could produce milk. That seems an absolute miracle. Thank you so much for all your videos! I feel like I am part of the family 😊
1:18 😆 Mokolo chewing 🥬 like, "Oh this is so very 😋 delicious." 2:10 Freedie taught Kayembe, and he learned quickly how to forage for his own food 👍. 2:44 Jameela knows she is safe, so she is very relaxed. 4:40, 6:44 Arm and 10:37 foot carrying is very common among gorilla moms. Jameela is absolutely fine. 11:08 She is also learning to forage for food while she's down there 😄. 5:08 Mom Freddie's back for a secure ride. 7:13 😂 Freddie: I'm watching you Nneka. 🤔 I wonder why Freddie is so cautious of Nneka. Perhaps for the length of time Nneka stops and stares at Freddie. Maybe Nneka is possibly observing Freddie's mothering skills 🤷. 8:40 Kayembe is way👆 up there, and 11:58 so is Kunda! Wonderful footage, thanks. Loved it! ❤❤❤
Boa noite! Porque Fred ficou receosa quando viu Nneka? Até Kayembe foi para perto da Fred, eu não entendi, eu achei Kayembe muito comportado, não mexeu com a Jameela, uma amor de garotinho.
I am in awe of Freddie the redhead and Kebi. They are such great moms. I sometimes feel sorry with a mom’s heart for Kayembe. He so much wants a playmate. Someone who he can roughhouse with as I have seen young male gorillas do. He’ll have to wait a little longer for Jameela and Kunda to get bigger and stronger. How long do gorillas live? Freddie is 50. Is that old? She is a matriarch of gorilla world and an absolute treasure. Please take care of her well

Aww. Freddie took special care to not step on baby Jameela. I love the arm carry, so cute. Sorry if I ask the same questions, I have a bad memory. Is Nneka an offspring of Mokolo? How old is she and has she had babies? How many babies has Mokolo made? I’m not real sure of the dynamics with the gorilla troops within the zoo systems. Thanks so much! These videos are so wonderful and always make me laugh. Animal behavior is so amazing.
@BeachyKeen92 Nneka is Kayembe's biological mother. She is about 24 or 25, and her 1st baby was tragically killed 10 years ago. Mokolo was a first-time dad with Kayembe and Kunda.

Actually, Freddy started spontaneously lactating when she took on Kayembe as a foster…. She’s been lactating since then and is actually nursing both Kayembe and Jameela. Freddy is 57 years old.
I'm glad to see that she is taking those classes and that we're seeing small slow changes in Nneka 's behavior that might be indicating that she's absorbing a tiny bit of what she's learning. My next question is: is she starting to or does she recognize or even is she starting to realize that Kayembe is her biological son? Cuz in today's video, it seemed as though she might be when she approached Freddy(w/Jameela) & Kayembe who was by Freddy's side. Nneka slowed down, stopped for a second around Kayembe as though she was going to interact with him and then moved on slowly, purposely. She definitely was showing interest in Kayembe for a moment. So that's why I'm offering up that question.
Absolutely precious Beautiful video of each and every one of them I love all of them I think they are all growing wonderfully and a loving bunch I think watching all the kids is just too precious and absolutely adorable I was very shocked Freddy's toddler was not a mischievous turd today the minute he saw Dad when he went to jump on mom's back he reacted quick and went and stood next to Mom like a good boy instead of naughty I tend to wonder if Dad didn't discipline him once or twice already blessings to you all thanks for all your dedication and hard work Larry Sheila

Thank you !
Jameela will be walking before you know it with Freddy’s strong leg training! lol😝

That lettuce must taste good. I wonder what drama happened with Nneka.

I noticed gorilla babies usually have a lot more freedom after they are one year old. Kunda will be tumbling with Kayembe soon. ❤
