Other people could make your statement about us, and many have. We don't quite understand those other people, and they don't quite understand us. That's all there is to it. Venecia G Today I actually found out I am also asexual. I never felt like I fit in but now I feel really happy, I’m really glad people feel the same way.
The most difficult part of being asexual is people constantly telling you that you have no reason to live. It's hard enough to build a life outside of traditional family values. Even LGBT+ people have said that there is something wrong with me and that my life is not worth living without sex and/or romance. Even though we know we can find happiness in other things and in other types of relationships, we are not made of titanium. Those words and attitudes sink in and can be so overwhelming and hurtful. It's down right devastating sometimes and those negative thoughts tend to creep in when you are constantly reminded through real life interactions and the media that others don't think you are valuable to society.
I totally understand you. But that's also the beauty of it all. We are at the grassroots of what could be a widely-recognized sexuality in the future. All I can say that is just ignore those kinds of people. You are human & you have a soul & being kind to others is more important than what you do or don’t or what you desire or don’t desire to do in the bedroom.

Moi je veux percé dans le domaine des arts dans ma province, (Québec) and truly believe I could change people's perspectives on asexuality. thanks a lot! I will probably create a asexual community in my part of the world too! (if they aren't any of course!)
I felt largely unloved as a child and different, less than, and rejected from everyone around me because of my same sex attraction. When I came out I found that the gay community was all about sex and I was still trying to deal with the need to be loved. I felt less than and sex to me was traumatic because what was really on my mind was being loved and accepted for who I am. Today I am a loner who does not trust others. I feel that the majority of people are just deluded and selfish.
I fit really well into the "asexual" criteria, but I was wondering if there's a way you can change it? I really don't like being this way and wish I had a normal sex drive. If anyone has any info on this I would love to talk to you!
I know this isn't the best platform for questions, but can you be ace and still harbour extreme crushes? I develop deep crushes for people, not often but when I do its extreme. They're completely emotional rather than physical but can I be asexual and still be like this? I think I'm ace but I can't figure it out.
no you fucking morons. that crushing is raw animal desire that made your grandpa over 100,000 generations ago. asexuality is not fucking real, its a fucking excuse to cope with never getting laid.

*Fascinating.* I've always wanted a stable romantic relationship but am clueless in terms of making such a relationship happen. Asexual? I think quasisexual a more accurate term for myself - sexually attracted to females to a degree, but unable to establish intimate relations with 'em....
+Steena Oommen If she can not have sexual attraction she wouldn't have a partner who she kisses and snuggles with. Then she would be alone without a partner.
+Vanessa Kilpatrick Asexual people have sex but might have a lower sex drive then other people. They can go years without sexual encounters. She's Asexual and you probably are too. Asexual does not mean you don't have sex or you don't get aroused. You're just not driven by sex and couldn't care less either way. It's probably a mental and emotional thing oppose to physical.
Yup i saw this 3 years ago and what weren't through my minds was: i want that relationship she has with her partner 🙃 little did i know i was actually ace. It just hurts that people are dismissive and told me i haven't found the right person. There's no right person. Try telling that to gays. Can they be straights with the right female? Of course not. 😭
It's different for everyone. here's a forum specifically on that topic www.asexuality.org/en/topic/69810-what-is-sexual-attraction/ I hope you find what you are looking for :)
A woman who is attracted to only women romantically and not sexually is an Asexual Lesbian. :D A man who is attracted to only woman romantically and not sexually is a heteroromantic asexual :D
Clorox Bleach there’s nothing wrong with you! just because some people don’t do their research doesn’t mean that’s what you are. there’s better people out there, I promise!
So basically you make really close relationships with your friends and can be romantic/intimate with them but not in a sexual way? How is this different from just being really close with friends and not looking for a sexual relationship/romantic one? Do asexual people ever get married so said friends?
I think romantic relationships vary person to person but my BF and myself have a totally "normal" relationship. We just don't have sex. We kiss and cuddle and do normal relationshippy things just without sex.
+Jadé Elizabeth thank you for this! I've been fighting this for a long time and have never met someone like me. I feel attracted to people but never sexual and it's nice to hear that there are people out there like me who have been able to find relationships. This gives me hope.
.Cellabration. 击 Okay, that's a good point. I didn't think of that. But what makes this different from a "standard" straight/gay/etc. Relationship just - sex?
Angelica-Rose because labels help people understand more about themselves and allow others to understand more about themselves as well. It's just like being homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual or etc.
I wouldn't really consider it a sexual orientation, it is simply a lack of sexual attraction. For me, it's not difficult, because I don't label myself "asexual." Labels do more harm than good, especially these days. Tumblr is the root cause of that.
The whole sexual orientation terminology is ridiculous anyway, people just split hair to fit themselves in a box. And the way they define orientation makes no sense. I mean yes, it's more a matter of "attraction" but behavior counts too. But no, they have decided they were completely separated.
Olivia Maloney Labels can help us feel validated and provide belonging and comfort, and help us feel that we are not alone. But I agree they should probably be taken fairly lightly and we should be able to change them whenever we want. And i think its better to label asexuality as a sexual orientation as it more validating and positive than just 'a lack' of something. ☺
Olivia Maloney sexual attraction is literally what an orientation is, therefore a lack of sexual attraction is an orientation, just like atheism is a religion

This is inspiring and well done! Thank you Refinery29
this is a great video and the content about asexuality is great but im swooning over how cute they are w their partners look at em!!!! cute as hell
Thank god this video exists
hell yeah, asexuals UNITE!

She looks like a young Madonna in the eyes..quite pretty
I'm asexual/biromantic! Definitely don't want sex, but all the romantic shit I'm all about!
I fit really well into the "asexual" criteria, but I was wondering if there's a way you can change it? I really don't like being this way and wish I had a normal sex drive. If anyone has any info on this I would love to talk to you!
holypicklesmofo I mean there's not really, but there's not a problem with having a lack of sexual attraction. It does in fact help more than hurt
I love her hair though
Boi I need asexual best friends, I believe it's great to find people like me! By the way, we aces have great hair!
I know this isn't the best platform for questions, but can you be ace and still harbour extreme crushes? I develop deep crushes for people, not often but when I do its extreme. They're completely emotional rather than physical but can I be asexual and still be like this?
I think I'm ace but I can't figure it out.
Yes you can. Crushes do not have to be sexual in nature. You can desire a romantic relationship with someone and still be asexual.
no you fucking morons. that crushing is raw animal desire that made your grandpa over 100,000 generations ago. asexuality is not fucking real, its a fucking excuse to cope with never getting laid.
HooverBeast more like you are personally frustrated because you can't get any
SweetasSugar42 that's either a friendship crush or a romantic crush!!! Many ace people develop romantic attraction but not sexual attraction
I google asexuality and now I am getting a lot of videos about asexuality.
IDK if I'm on the asexual spectrum...I just know I don't want or need anyone to make me happy right now and for a looooong time, if he comes- cool💖 if not, cool👌🏽🤗🌟 xoxoxo❄️🐋 (sorry if u don't care 😅 just wanted to let my feelings out somewhere safe xoxo)
Little Earthling There is no asexual spectrum, you either want sex or not.
Monoca may i see i see, but the thing is, right now in this present moment I don't think I'll ever want sex but that doesn't mean in the future I won't change my mind u know? Which will mean I was never asexual. Sending hugs xoxoxo
loco wanderer Its ok to label yourself asexual if you want to, you can always change it if you decide youre not! Also Monoca May is very wrong, there IS an asexual spectrum. You might be interested in looking up the terms 'demi-sexual' and especially 'grey ace'. hugs xx
Do you identify as asexual?
I think I'm aromantic but not asexual. Anyone else?
*Fascinating.* I've always wanted a stable romantic relationship but am clueless in terms of making such a relationship happen. Asexual? I think quasisexual a more accurate term for myself - sexually attracted to females to a degree, but unable to establish intimate relations with 'em....
Hii, what is asexual?
someone who is cannot have sexual attraction..
+Steena Oommen If she can not have sexual attraction she wouldn't have a partner who she kisses and snuggles with.
Then she would be alone without a partner.
+Eunice Apia kissing and snuggling is not sex.
+Mairi Mc I said sexual attraction. Where did I say having sex. You can have sexual attraction without acting on it.
Beautiful video!
i'm Asexual
OH MY GOD THIS MIGHT BE ME
Yup i saw this 3 years ago and what weren't through my minds was: i want that relationship she has with her partner 🙃 little did i know i was actually ace. It just hurts that people are dismissive and told me i haven't found the right person. There's no right person. Try telling that to gays. Can they be straights with the right female? Of course not. 😭
thank you for this video
What is sexual attraction?
It's different for everyone.
here's a forum specifically on that topic www.asexuality.org/en/topic/69810-what-is-sexual-attraction/
I hope you find what you are looking for :)
Frambuesa Chantilly me tho lol
"It's just a phase" 😑
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that they're polyamorous as well?!
I loved this
Whats it called when your attracted to femeninaty and conversation and itelect but hate sex and avoid it?
A woman who is attracted to only women romantically and not sexually is an Asexual Lesbian. :D A man who is attracted to only woman romantically and not sexually is a heteroromantic asexual :D
Came out to someone they though asexuals sleep with animals...I am ashamed of who I am
Clorox Bleach there’s nothing wrong with you! just because some people don’t do their research doesn’t mean that’s what you are.
there’s better people out there, I promise!
2:06 Sweet!
I think it’s very sexual, by the way!
I'm not a plant, leave me alone..Loool!
I
Goals
I'm asexual myself, but I bet this is staged, because she has the haircut and the hair color that every drawn asexual character on Tumblr has 😐
Yeah, always a person with blue or purple hair
ACE ACE ACE
WHOS HER ALSO ACE
PROUD BUT I WON'T TELL ANYONE
Thank you God, I am not Asexual. Mind blown learning about this
I told my parents I was asexual
My mom said "don't tell kids at school they are all Christians"
My dad said "stfu no ur not"
XD
So basically you make really close relationships with your friends and can be romantic/intimate with them but not in a sexual way? How is this different from just being really close with friends and not looking for a sexual relationship/romantic one? Do asexual people ever get married so said friends?
I think romantic relationships vary person to person but my BF and myself have a totally "normal" relationship. We just don't have sex. We kiss and cuddle and do normal relationshippy things just without sex.
Jadé Elizabeth Do you consider yourself to be asexual?
+Jadé Elizabeth thank you for this! I've been fighting this for a long time and have never met someone like me. I feel attracted to people but never sexual and it's nice to hear that there are people out there like me who have been able to find relationships. This gives me hope.
the difference is that you probably don't make out with friends
.Cellabration. 击 Okay, that's a good point. I didn't think of that. But what makes this different from a "standard" straight/gay/etc. Relationship just - sex?
ace
#LeviAckerman XD
I support the concept, but why can't people just be as they want to be without needing to label themselves?
The same reason Homosexuals label themselves, to know who they are.
Angelica-Rose because labels help people understand more about themselves and allow others to understand more about themselves as well. It's just like being homosexual, heterosexual, bisexual or etc.
I'm kind of confused. She has a partner so how does that make her asexual?
Having sex with your partner doesn´t mean you are not asexual.
FriendsTilZeEnd romantic attraction and sexual attraction are two different things
Wouldn’t asexuality be a lack of sexual orientation?
asexuality is a sexual orientation! :D
perhaps checking hormone balances would yield answers to why people have no interest in sex
Luke Allen that has being done, nothing wrong with hormonal levels
Luke Allen nope, my horomones are already fine. I already checked with my doctor. Yet I'm still ace! Funny :))
As someone who identifies as an asexual I agree with you.
Olivia Maloney sexual attraction is literally what an orientation is, therefore a lack of sexual attraction is an orientation, just like atheism is a religion
Colorful hair? Oh boy. I can smell the cancer.
"I know everything about you simply by looking at the colour of your hair because that makes sense"
the meme lady I can't tell if this is a really unfunny joke or if you're actually that stupid
my name is [shelby] >that stupid
well you think asexuality is real soooo...
the meme lady sooooo I'm not ignorant? cool
my name is [shelby] ye m8 i mean u cant really be ignorant if u jump into a fight on the internet from a comment that i posted... 5 months ago?
....but she has a partner????
It's most likely a romantic relationship, not a sexual one
This is not REAL
how so? plz elaborate
you're arrogant
I am asexual my brain is wired that way . I don’t have sex don’t think about it I don’t masturbate it’s never a thought or concern. Sexuality is a spectrum Asexuality is not. It is the opposite of sex. It’s comfortably stands alone it has other things on its mind. It doesn’t care about sex gender or identity because all of that is irrelevant
