I love his song "A Good Run of Bad Luck" that was the soundtrack for the Mel Gibson movie "Maverick." That's probably my favorite of his songs. Also "When My Ship Comes In."
My favorite Clint Black song is "Something That We Do" which makes me think of me and my husband, great anniversary song. " A Bad Goodbye" and "Nothing but the Taillights" should be on your list too
Here's another group to give a listen, if interested "Diamond Rio - One More Day (Official HD Video)" you can never go wrong with Clint Black his songs, like many others, are like the work horses...they will always be played and keep you going even when you're not even aware they're playing in the background. Great reaction🔥💖✌🎶
Hope your son's birthday ended with a bang and great memories made. In honor of his birthday maybe listen to Rodney Atkins "He's Mine" or "Watching You" Additionally i would suggest Rodney Atkins "The River Just Knows"
This song was released February 18, 1989. It was his debut single and went straight to #1, the first time that had happened since Freddy Fender in 1974.
Ths was Clint’s first radio play & hit. The Black’s lived in my hometown and I went to high school with Clint. He has two very talented brothers as well.
The 80s was one of the best decade for country, rock, metal, hard rock, pop, movies and ect., in my opinion. Which I know no one cares! 😆 lol! But, I'm sure there will be a lot people who will agree with me!
This was Clint's debut single. It went to number one, which was the first charted single to do so since Freddy Fender. My favourite "Killin Time". Great reaction Craig. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
You'd love hearing his daughter Lily Pearl Black's debut single "Never Knew Love". I had the pleasure of hearing him, his wife and their daughter live in concert. He sounds just as great live as in the studio in my opinion.
An extremely gifted songwriter, guitarist, harmonicist and singer who stayed true to his music and became a Country Music Legend in the 1990s. My favorite songs by Clint Black (from oldest to newest) are A Better Man; Put Yourself in My Shoes; Where Are You Now; Loving Blind; No Time to Kill; A Good Run of Bad Luck; State of Mind; A Bad Goodbye (duet with Wynonna Judd); Half the Man; Happiness Alone; One Emotion; Summer's Comin'; Desperado (cover of a classic by The Eagles); The Shoes You're Wearing; Nothin' But the Taillights; That Something in My Life; Loosen Up My Strings; Still Holding On (duet with Martina McBride); Something That We Do; You Don't Need Me Now; You Know It All; Love She Can't Live Without; and When I Said I Do (duet with his wife, Lisa Hartman Black). BTW, he wrote or co-wrote every one of these songs except for Desperado.
My 2nd favorite Clint Black song...my favorite was never released as a single, but is soooo beautiful. Look for "You're gonna leave me again" .. you'll love it.
A good song to react would be Clint Black and Roy Rogers. HOLD ON PARTNER, a nod to the old western movies & TV shows of the 40’s through the 60’s and the sidekicks to the heroes. It is a fun song. And the resemblance between Roy and Clint both in voice and looks is striking. If you like nostalgia, you will love it.
"Like the Rain," " Nothin' but the Taillights," "A good run of bad luck," or "We Tell Ourselves" are some great ones....also "A Bad Goodbye" with Wynonna Judd is a classic
This song is a good representative of what set a lot of Clint Black's songs apart from other country music: his lyrics were usually very cerebral, which is to say he often wrote not just about people or relationships, but the _idea_ of those things, and the memories of them, or the passage of time, etc. In this case, he's not exactly singing about a relationship, but rather his _experience_ of the relationship and the way he will remember it going forward. The line "but I've just got to make this memory stand clear" sums up that idea.
I saw him at the Oregon State Fair in the 90s, and it started raining. They stopped, his band pulled back under cover, then he continued- and he stayed out in the rain, getting soaked with the audience! And his smile just grew bigger!!!
This came out in the 90's - I think the best decade for country music. Clint Black and Hayden Nicholas (his lead guitar player) are from Katy, TX - a suburb of Houston - I went to school with both of these guys. They are down home, good ol' boys!
Great reaction to a great artist..have to recommend “A Bad Goodbye” with Wynonna Judd. Also “Loving Blind”, “One Emotion”, “Burn One Down”, “Nothing’s News” and “Nobody’s Home”. There really are so many!
In the 1990’s there were five country artist catching everyone’s attention and putting out hit after hit. Clint Black, George Strait, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks and Vince Gill. Loved this song. I believe he wrote this song also.
This was his first hit! He went on to become a legend but yeah this was the first big hit he had. 1989 since you was talking about when it came out. The thing I like is the whole song is our relationship might've went sour but I learned stuff and I became a better man because of our relationship and I still love you and the wishes for her to do well was implied while he went on to do better as well!
I love Clint Black music being a truck driver I get a chance to listen to a lot of music and one group you need to really check out is called the Mavericks and the name of the song is oh what a thrill this guy’s voice will really blow you away
I think this came out in 1989, he is a great artist, great reaction, so glad to see you love TRUE country music, it is the only music that comes from the heart or so it use to before this new pop rap mess came out, I do not want to even put it in the same class as True Country Music !!!
My favorite Clint Black song, which never got the air time or accolades it deserved, is Spend My Time. It was part of a TV movie soundtrack (may even have been written for it) that starred how wife, Lisa Hartman Black. If it wasn't an actual Hallmark movie, it was very similar to one. It's got the classic Clint Black sound a beautiful lyrics.
Such a good song! If you're looking for more music to react to these have been on my mind recently. Chris Young "Tomorrow", Clay Walker "She won't be lonely long", and Brooks and Dunn "She not the cheatin' kind". I love watching you on your country music journey!
90s country is seriously the best. New country is definetly missing something that was around in Clints time. I love it all but the 90s was a huge prime spot in the arts history.
I love Clint Black. That being said I'm still not sure what the lyrics mean. His relationship has ended'; he's walking out; so now he's a better man????? 🤔 A good "good-bye" song by Clint Black is "Untanglin" my mind" or "Nothin' but the taillights". "A good run of bad luck" from the Mel Gibson movie "Maverick" (in which Clint Black has a small cameo) is also fun to listen to. I still gave the video a thumbs up. Love your channel. Cheers from the USA.
I don't see many people react to Clint Black. This song is so great. It's too bad both men and women don't react more like this at the end of a relationship: realizing what you did wrong, what they did wrong, and the things you can learn from the relationship...how each party can come out stronger from it. Such a great singer and by all accounts a great man, too. Thank you for doing this. My personal favorite apart from this is "Something That We Do" as mentioned by others:)
If you get a chance watch the movie Maverick. Clint has an acting part and it was a very funny movie. I've been a Clint fan since the 90s. Great voice and he's easy on the eyes. 😊
Clint married the fabulous actress, Lisa Hartman in 1991 and they are still together. Jonh Denver did a made for tv Christmas Special, Wild Montana Sky's on which he had Clint Black, Patty Loveless, Kathy Matea. All of the guests were up and commers back then, It was filmed on an Indian Reservation in Montana, and John's only biological child was there having just been born, and John was holding her in one of the songs. It is true that the best of country music was during the 80's through the 90's. I no longer listen to country as it is horrible now. I stick with Avi Kaplan songs now. He writes more of a combination of Americana Folk, Country and Western. His rich Bass/Baritone voice with over 5 octaves of range is now my kind of sound. You need to find Joe Diffie he died at the start of Covid.
My favorite Clint Black song is "Something That We Do" which makes me think of me and my husband, great anniversary song. " A Bad Goodbye" and "Nothing but the Taillights" should be on your list too

Hope your son's birthday ended with a bang and great memories made.
In honor of his birthday maybe listen to Rodney Atkins "He's Mine" or "Watching You"
Additionally i would suggest Rodney Atkins "The River Just Knows"
I LOVE Watching you - great message .
90s country was on a while new level .
This song was released February 18, 1989. It was his debut single and went straight to #1, the first time that had happened since Freddy Fender in 1974.
1989...I love Clint Black!
Ths was Clint’s first radio play & hit. The Black’s lived in my hometown and I went to high school with Clint. He has two very talented brothers as well.
Check out A Bad Goodbye with him and Wynona Judd. It’s awesome.
No one in the comments has suggested. "A good run of bad luck" from the movie Maverick with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster. Fun video and great song!!!
Lovely reaction, Clint is one of my favorites, he never really went to the 'pop side' and I like that. I think it was released in '89, could be wrong.
You're right. February 1989.
Clint Black is one of those truly nice guys with tremendous talent. Thanks for the reaction to this great song. Be well, be happy, be blessed.
My favorite Clint Black song
Clint has some great songs: “Burn One Down” “Good Run of Bad Luck” “Nothing But the Taillights” and “Summers Coming” are all solid.
Killin Time is my favorite of his also! Love it!
My favorite from Clint is Desperado. Also a bad goodbye with Wynonna is great
Great song for doing the Texas Two-Step! We need to get you on the dance floor. Clint is fantastic. A great guy as well.
In 1991 Clint did a song a video with the Western Star Roy Rogers. : Hold on Partner", look it up
My favorite of his is Nothings News.

I love “Good Run of Bad Luck” from the movie “Maverick”
Love Clint, dude was just so genuine.
The 1990's was a GREAT decade for country music.
You'd love hearing his daughter Lily Pearl Black's debut single "Never Knew Love". I had the pleasure of hearing him, his wife and their daughter live in concert. He sounds just as great live as in the studio in my opinion.
Nice reaction! Yup. That's real country. Not what so called country is today. My choice for the next one would Nothing But the Tail Lights.
Thanks for this reaction. Might I also suggest his song "Nobody's Home".
I very much enjoy your honest, no frills reactions.
An extremely gifted songwriter, guitarist, harmonicist and singer who stayed true to his music and became a Country Music Legend in the 1990s. My 2nd favorite Clint Black song...my favorite was never released as a single, but is soooo beautiful. Look for "You're gonna leave me again" .. you'll love it.
The Hard Way is one of my many favorites. Been a fan of Clint’s since the beginning.
I was lucky enough to see him in concert and I was sitting up 2nd level he looked at me and I know he was singing this to me lol
A good song to react would be Clint Black and Roy Rogers. HOLD ON PARTNER, a nod to the old western movies & TV shows of the 40’s through the 60’s and the sidekicks to the heroes. It is a fun song. I love Clint Black! I saw him in concert 3x's, late 80's/early 90's. He is awesome!
I saw him at the Oregon State Fair in the 90s, and it started raining. They stopped, his band pulled back under cover, then he continued- and he stayed out in the rain, getting soaked with the audience! And his smile just grew bigger!!!

Clint is one of my favorites growing up in my teens and early 20s. Awesome awesome artist!
Great time for Country music.
Great reaction to a great artist..have to recommend “A Bad Goodbye” with Wynonna Judd. Also “Loving Blind”, “One Emotion”, “Burn One Down”, “Nothing’s News” and “Nobody’s Home”. There really are so many!
I have always been a Clint Black fan. You should check out Then What? By Clay Walker!!!
In the 1990’s there were five country artist catching everyone’s attention and putting out hit after hit. Clint Black, George Strait, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks and Vince Gill. Loved this song. I believe he wrote this song also.
I saw all of these live in concert except George Strait. The 90s was a great time for music. Really was a "golden era".🤩
Love, love fellow Texan Clint Black for sure! I played his cassette until I wore it out!! Thanks for the reaction👍
The best two step song ever!!
This was his first hit! He went on to become a legend but yeah this was the first big hit he had. 1989 since you was talking about when it came out. "Killin' Time" is a good one.
Nothings news is one of my favorites
Randy Travis “on the other hand” is a great song from the same error. Oh, the old two-stepping days sure brings back great memories.
It's from 1989, so good ear on the vibe.
He's definitely a legend in himself, sort of on the cusp of the older and newer country evolution.
Such a good song! If you're looking for more music to react to these have been on my mind recently. Chris Young "Tomorrow", Clay Walker "She won't be lonely long", and Brooks and Dunn "She not the cheatin' kind". I love watching you on your country music journey!
The album that song appears on came out in 1989
state of mind and like the rain are good ones
I love Life Gets Away. It's easily one of my favorites from him ever. This one is great too.
90s country is seriously the best. New country is definetly missing something that was around in Clints time. I love it all but the 90s was a huge prime spot in the arts history.
Your facial expressions are so wonderful. Another good video to check out is - George Strait - HeartLand

Love Clint Black. Would love you to react to Sammy Kershaw Yard Sale ✌🏻
Oh yes, please! Great song! Another good one is "He Drinks Tequila" with his then wife Lorrie Morgan.
I don't see many people react to Clint Black. This song is so great.
