After coming from the Austin ice storm, we arrived at a much warmer location. The strong propane smell had startled us, but it all worked out in the end. We walk through the thorough steps that you can take, if this happens to you.
The campground had a weekly farmers market, where they offered fresh meats, breads, canned goods and several other items. This was such a treat for us!
Ang was excited to mark off another bucket-list item, for a rodeo. What a blast!
Unfortunately, our trip screached to a halt with some bad news back home, but this could definitely be a return-spot!

Great advice! We had a propane smell lately. It was very hot outside, and it seemed to come from the side in the direct sunlight. I checked the connections. I will use the soap spray now.

We hope it works out. If it was cooler when you filled it, we would definitely try the blow-off valve first. Thanks for watching!

Propane tanks are safe, but CAN BE an extremely deadly explosion if someone puts a full one in a fire or something stupid. Other than that, they make the bottles (new) to handle at least triple its max pressure rating before exploding.

I've seen them explode (controlled detonations in the military) and the shrapnel is 2-3" sharp jagged cast iron pieces that can Penetrate block buildings.. it's scary.

Thanks for telling me about that! I was about to replace the bottle! I had it filled during the ice storm in Austin and this happened with about a 30 degree warm up in 24 hours. I definitely thought the worst on this one.

It looks like your bottle was working exactly as it should. The fast temp rise will make it over pressure, but it probably wasn't over-filled. Good to know the pop-off vent works though!

Dude why would you start a problem solving video with almost two minutes of absolutely useless talk with something that has nothing to do with your title
