    As a glen wood resident I’m so glad we had the first ever mountaintop alpine coaster. And is my favorite ride in the world

    I like coasters. But I will take this over a regular roller coaster in a millisecond...assuming it is not monumentally more expensive.
    Thanks very much for this video.

      You would rather take this over steel vengeance?

    • @liamhomburger5622
      @liamhomburger5622 3 года назад +2

      @@CoasterHorizons I've been on both and most days, yes. Not only is this coaster cheaper, it almost always has no line (in the winter) and has a much better view. Steel Vengeance is good, but this coaster is great.

    I rode that back in 2010, while being the most hung over I have ever been, and it was still fun as heck.

    That was an interesting ride. At first, you're screaming down the mountain. What a rush! Then, all of a sudden, you slow down to a walk. The rest of the ride, keeps you in suspense. You don't know, if or when you're going to speed up. You don't speed up, but take it easy, all the way to the bottom. That's for your first trip. Once you've done one trip, you know what to do, on your next trips.
    Be safe and have fun!

    My Grammy and Grandpa used to live in this town (at 538 N Traver Trail; they lived there from 6/1/1998 - 6/4/2018, and my Grandpa used to teach in Grand Junction, Colorado. about 1 1/2 hour drive from here.) Now, they moved permanently to 302 Boulder Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81507 because my Grandpa got MSA (Multiple System Atrophy) and he can't walk. When they lived in Glenwood Springs I loved to go on this ride!

    Just imagine how fast you'd be going if the brakes weren't there. Like you'd probably die from train derailment, literally 100+ mph probably. This one hauls boogie, you can hear the brakes keeping it in check in multiple spots

    It's hard the first time not to hit the brakes a little . But the line moves fast so you can get lots of rides in.

    Only in my state would there be a sign not to “smoke” on a roller coaster. Lol.

    • @sagew7377
      @sagew7377 2 года назад +1

      Believe it or not the problem was almost always cigarettes and people would drop them wherever despite the signs. Stoners always had their pen and were a pleasure to attend to. Drunk people and cig smokers were always a bad combination. I evacuated this place due to a fire on the back side of the mountain nearly a half mile away and worked here for 3 years, cleaned probably a thousand cig butts left on the ground.

    Looks like a good ride except for boarding at the top. I'd much prefer to ride to the top, and then enjoy the downhill ride rather than vice versa.

      @MickTesso 4 года назад +2

      Yeah, but the entire park is on a mountain, so it wouldn't work that way
