I am looking for the parts for my 2015 genesis coupe head gasket replacement, including all necessary sensors, ect. Can you please advise me what needs replacing?
You’ll want a timing kit Intake and exhaust Ocv solenoids for both sides Oem Head gasket Oem valve cover gasket New oem head bolts Optional components would be cvvt camshaft sprockets for intake and exhaust And new oil pump.
Dealership says I need a compete timing chain replacement do you know which parts I need I have a 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L Please help your videos are amazing thank you !
I appreciate the video but, you didn't show how to find TDC or line up the cam gears. Which marks do I lining up to know I'm at TDC and cam gears are lined up?
Yes I did. You have to pre time everything before removing the timing components. Chains tensioners etc Once you’re ready to put the new chain on then you line up the crank first. 2:50 mark. If you do this correctly you don’t have to mess with the crank afterwards. That’s the purpose of pre timing everything before removing the old timing chain. So pre time Remove old timing components Doubly check crank TDC @ 2:50 mark Then you install the new chain and line up all the marks. Once the crank is at TDC you don’t mess with it again. You adjust the camshafts only to line up. Once everything is in place install the tensioners and guides and lock it in place and do the oil pump chain Then repeat on the passenger side
@@ProdigePerformance Thanks for getting back to me so quick. I didn't watch far enough into the video the first time. I jumped to a conclusion to soon. Thanks for making the video and being willing to answer questions. I might get back to you with more. 👍
@@ProdigePerformance well since i was going to be inside the engine i was going to do seals on the gaskets too does the kit come with all of that or seperate
Thanks so much for making these videos! Since I don't have a garage and live on a hill, I'll still have to take this to a shop unfortunately. Not looking forward to the bill. How much did you charge for this, and how much would you charge to do it with the oil pump as suggested?
I have a question: 2 weeks ago I changed the gaskets on the engine covers (3.8) because the oil was coming out, and I keep seeing that where the spark plugs are, I see that it is getting dirty again with oil. What I can do?
You probably have found out already, but check your OCV sensor on the side which gets oily. It's pretty common for them to leak oil into the plug and onto the valve cover. You need to replace your OCV.
Yo. This video was super helpful for me replacing the timing kit on a 2009 Kia Borrego…. Thx
Your videos are appreciated.
Thank you
I’ve got the cold start rattle 2012 Genesis Sedan. Wish you were close to me!!

Can I ask why you didn’t replace the oil pump? Especially when you had everything off…Your vids are very helpful - Thanks a million.
I suggested it but the customer declined. These cars aren’t mine. They’re customers cars.
Thank you…just order parts from Albert Hwang and will follow your video. Is the oil pump easy to replace with everything removed?
@@yerok88 all you do extra is take off the 4 bolts that hold it in place. 4 12mm 12 point bolts and it comes right off.

Timing components $440
Pump $210
Labor $720
Shouldn’t be more than $1500 for labor and parts
My Hyundai dealership told me 4500????? I’m so stressed
