This was an awesome concept for a video. Also cool to see the amain atmosphere in the background. I also work in a call center/office setting and it's always cool to see how other people run their shenanigans.
Jay Halsey is a legend! Love those gold pan RC10s with spiked tires running on actual dirt. Back when racing RCs actually looked like 1:1 vehicles. These new buggies would absolutely destroy them though!
I remember about 25 years ago, My buddy had an early Futaba esc that had throttle priority when the batter cut off hit! Dove his buggy into a brick wall head on! Lol! I bought the Novak Tempest to avoid that problem in my all Carbon XXT! Witch I still have lol!
The RC History stuff - yes please!!! More more more! (salivates). Jay Halsey has done so much, wow! I can’t find RC history anywhere except for “Carpet Racers” and some small vids about Team Associated developing their 4WD starting with the MIP founder’s ingenious ideas. Given the growth in the hobby and the proximity to Hollywood, a major RC documentary would make some big profit I think. Sir Lewis Hamilton, Tony Stewart, Nick Tandy, Travis Pastrana, all these folks would make great cameo’s. Adam and Rhonda Drake would be the central figures of the plot. Again, this video is brilliant, Sir Brett!
Great job! Also, it was good to hear the backstory on that vintage, Jammin' Jay photo, which seemingly was published in nearly every RCCA issue in the late 80's and early 90's.
Ill never forget seeing Masami in early rc mags and being hypnotized by his cars and dominating winning streak. His paint jobs are by far some of my favorite and most recognizable i think.
Thanks for showing us around Amain Production. Even their break room looks like the average Joe's. The difference, customer service and attitude. Great content in this video. Thank you Amain.
Great Video. 25 years ago i had a Tamiya fighter buggy Rx which came with a msc. It broke, bought another one, that broke, then the hobby shop recommended an ESC.
Great video as usual 🏁🏁👍😃. Mad good info, but reminded me of how old I am. My first RC car was a gold pan and I stood in the biggest line for the movies ever Star Wars.
Awesome video! the difference b/w R/C and Remote Control I discovered once while googling both terms but was surprised how many people confused the two, Very Informative Video! and Entertaining!
Have not watched longer than until 0:09 and boy oh boy does THAT image bring back some fond memories of the smell of burning flesh because I was dumb enough to grab hold of the resistor....AGAIN......lol But seriously though, the tips of my thumb and index finger on my right hand literally cant feel heat anymore because of those ancient resistors, soldering and cooking lol
Love the video you got all the answers how about this one Why do Traxxas id batteries puff so quickly even when you use the Id chArger and only balance charge ?
A few annoying pedantic points: - All your names for shocks are correct, though 'dampener' is the incorrect (albeit commonly used) interpretation of the word 'damper'. A dampener is presumably something that dampens (makes moist), rather than damps (dulls, vibrations in this case). - Radio control is a _type_ of remote control, which is to say all radio-control (or radio-controlled) things are remote-controlled, but not all remote-controlled things are controlled via radio.
Another vote for making this a series! Very fun and informative.
This was funny, educational, and entertaining. Enjoyed it immensely! That walk through the wall was pretty sick!
Need to make this a regular segment.
Definitely keep these going!
Well done AMain. Would love to see another one in the future.
The video no-one knew we wanted, but we all needed
