I have a Monogram Fiero kit that I have been saving for a while. I had a project in mind where I was going to take the Fiero and an old Monogram Testarossa and see if I could make myself a kit car out of the two by pasting the Testarossa body pannels to the Fiero. I haven't done it yet because I can't bring myself to possibly ruin the Fiero kit as it is the only one I have. lol. I really do want to build the Fiero as well at some point and I do have a Hasegawa Gen 1 MR 2 that has been itching me to be built for a while now. I think you will see both of them done on my channel sooner than you may think! haha.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video. I don't do a lot of weathering but every photo I saw of the underside of a CRX was pretty rusty so I figured I should follow suit! haha.
It is a really good kit, IMO. It has great detail and is true to the original without having too many parts and pieces. As per Tamiya, it almost just fell together on its own! Thanks for your comments, it is appreciated.
Thanks for watching. I had to get this one second hand and it was not that cheap! haha. I am hoping Tamiya decide to reissue it or the Mugen version sometime in the next year or two, like they have been doing with a lot of their older kits lately.
The CR-X/SiR, released in 1989, six years after the Ballade Sports, became even more stylish. I used to admire the Integra and Prelude from this era. Nowadays, cars from any Japanese manufacturer have become unremarkable and boring.from🇯🇵❤
The Gen2 CRX was a total powerhouse in the aftermarket scene in the 90s and 2000s for sure. So much custom ability to it and it had a very modern look to the car at the time. I have a build of the Gen2 CRX in the works that will be lower with a more custom look to it then this bone stock brother.
Love this. Its one of the three small sports cars of the 80s i love. I would love to see you do the other two, the fiero and mr2

I like your process! Straight forward and fun! Great job! Chassis weathering was inspirational!

Very nice build. Turned out great.. My Wife had CRX exactly the same body color.. It was a fun car too drive and great on gas 👍
Indeed it was an all around great car to have and drive. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the build.
Fantastic work! The technique your used to weather the chassis was spot on. And your taping was amazing!! Just subbed!
Thank you very much for the sub and for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed the video.
Awesome build Spen, didn't even know Tamiya made this kit. Be a cool one to see them re-issue as it looked like it went together well.
