Love it! The Edwardian period is my favorite too and feel so fantastic when ever I get to dress in this way which has not been for a while now. It is great to see how nicely you can make the hat and outfit from another and i have actually a skirt that could be fluffed up a bit and certainly have hats that could work! Needs oodles of lace though! Not great with sewing machine though but think even sewing the hat by hand and just stitching up the lace onto already done clothing I think I can do! Such fun cannot wait until next year for more! my husband even joined me, as we sat outside! Thank you for this lovely time and the training on how to sew and put together Edwardian style clothing!

Vivienne, your Belle Époque ensemble turned out to be quite elegant for the summer garden party. Bravo. Simon really is dapper. Is there a gay, mid-sixties model available? I rarely have occasion to wear my bowlers without one. I don't mean to reduce them to fashion accessories, but they do look great when worn round the arm.❤ The Jeanne d'Arc item looks like a medal of some sort. Perhaps it was awarded on that date. The person who had it mounted knew its significance, so simply needed the date it was commemorated. The urns look magnificent. I would have bought them too. I can't wait to see where you put them. This morning I visited a couple charity shops too. I found 2, like new condition, Waterford wine glasses at $.89 each and a small Wedgwood jasperware dish for $2.99. I slso purchased a hand blown vase, provenance yet unknown, also for $.89. I would have whipped out my loupe, but at $.89, it would have seemed like just plain showing off. I was intrigued by the medallion of St Joan of Arc, and whilst I cannot find a significance for the date in March, you might be surprised to know that Joan was only beatified in 1909 and canonised in 1920. She was, as you said,a symbol of resistance during WWI and I wonder whether this was a gift, marking a date personal to the recipient, and notable for what was symbolised in recent history. I always enjoy your videos and this was a magical journey back in time for me! 😊

I was intrigued by the medallion of St Joan of Arc, and whilst I cannot find a significance for the date in March, you might be surprised to know that Joan was only beatified in 1909 and canonised in 1920. She was, as you said,a symbol of resistance during WWI and I wonder whether this was a gift, marking a date personal to the recipient, and notable for what was symbolised in recent history. I always enjoy your videos and this was a magical journey back in time for me! 😊
