  • Most Delicas and 90's turbo diesels are slow & out of tune.... but not ours!
Join NomadicVan.Life in tuning one of our 2.5L Turbo Diesel Delica Chamonix! In today's episode, you'll get an inside look at the considerable performance difference between a stock van & a Nomadic tuned 4x4 Starwagon. With this specialty engine enhancement, we can boost your JDM van to give it the power, fuel economy, and reliability you've always dreamed of...
As you'll see, head Nomadic mechanic Rondo meticulously ups the boost from the turbocharger, adjusts the Fueling from the Injection Pump, and monitors temp. + pressure via a dash-mounted gauge pod. This 90's JDM classic is now a Fast & Furious van-life-mobile!
With our Performance Tune you'll get:
Stronger Acceleration (while maintaining engine integrity.)
    20% More Power
    10%-15% increase in MPG
    Increased Reliability
Temperature Monitoring Capabilities via EGT gauge
    Some Tuning Statistics:
Cruising Speed: 3300 RPM at 75mph (with 32" A/T Tires + 5 Spd. manual transmission)
This is a great improvement for JDM and Delica vans alike, and all of our sold vehicles come primed and ready with a dependable tune! We are also taking stage 1 tune bookings on YOUR JDM van today (see below for more info)

    Great video!
I've done similar mods to my Hyundai Galloper with the same 2.5 engine.
    Its a completely different car!
Thank you for making quality content on these engines!

I love this van. We used to have one, a 2.5L turbo diesel 5 speed manual over 20 years ago when I was a child. Classic memories!
I hope to get one of these one day and keep it for a long time. I never even knew that upgrades to their fuel economy and engine reliability existed. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Always keep an eye on engine temps with the l300, but if you boosted it to that level it'll make it run leaner, which with a diesel means LOWER temperatures not higher. So you can do what you did but it won't lead to the power or performance increase you're looking for. Bring it by our shop and we'd be happy to tune it for you. Cheers!

what kind of lift is on this sweet delica?

    • @NomadicVanSunValley
      @NomadicVanSunValley  6 дней назад

It's lifted 3 inches with blocks under the rear leafsprings, upgraded 22mm torsion bars with 1.5" ballpoint spacers for the front and 32" tires to fill the space.
