Maybe I repeat myself a lot, but... this is simply great!

No problem 😄, we really don't mind - more comments are better than less!
Yeah, the Taiping Rebellion / Heavenly Kingdom was just a fascinating bit of history and, of course, there's plenty more we didn't cover. We have a few other episodes set in Asia coming up relatively soon though; so, stay tuned for those.

Hong Xiu quan's 15 year old son's writing still exist today. The Qing officer who captured him forced him to write everything about the kingdom in exchange of freedom. He was however, lied to by the officer and still getting executed upon finishing his writing. He was one of the few who executed using the horrible thousand cuts slow death penalty. Most of the first hand information we know today about the kingdom came from his writing.

I know, tones...haha; there are a few mispronunciations here and there, but I tried.
Starting next month, we hope to have a regular upload schedule (two videos / first and third week) along with longer, podcast-like episodes too.
English and German subtitles are up!

Another very good video. I hope this channel will get more views and subscribers. As for suggestions of future topics, how about the Republic of Ezo?
PS. I like the choice of illustrations you used to represent demons. Malina is obviously the best. 😉

Thanks Artur; actually, it’s kind of coincidental that you mentioned the Republic of Ezo because that episode (a two-parter, which covers Hokkaido's story as well) is almost done.
...and it’s definitely good to know there’s a fellow Helltaker fan among our viewers! 😅

You channel is amazing! Very underrated.

    • @GhostCountries
      @GhostCountries  3 года назад +1

I really appreciate that! 🙌 It can be more work than expected (sometimes), but still it's a lot of fun sharing these lesser known chapters of history with other people that appreciate it.

@@GhostCountries Your welcome, History is E P I C 😎. I love the premise of your channel, all things I love. Those being History, flags, and countries [especially historical countries], I understand RUclips can be hard work for little gain at times. But kind comments are helpful in esteem and I hope mine did the same. [The Bible even states in Proverbs 16:24; "Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones."]
You quite obviously do good research and editing, even in your earlier videos. Which... I must say I did not do for my earlier videos... Overall amazing channel and I'm very glad I found it. I shall continue to watch your channel, and wish you have a great day and may God bless.

Really appreciate the support @Historical_events, more comments / interaction from viewers definitely is something we'd love to see more of going forward 😄; also, glad to hear you like our channel and content. There's plenty more on the way! Looking forward to what you think of some newer videos - still got a few miniseries and other things in the works too.

Glad you enjoyed the video Bard and yeah, it really is fascinating looking back at earlier revolutionary groups (like the Taipings), along with their ideologies!
In that vein, we'll more than likely be looking into the Red Turban Rebellions against the Yuan dynasty / White Lotus movement at some point as well.

accually most people view hong xiuquan as a hero of hakka more than the elder brother of jesus.

Great vid! Perfect for some research I'm doing. Is there any way I could watch the CCTV series anywhere? I feel like it would be useful to conceptualize a lot of what was heard here and in other sources.
