Woody unashamedly a fan of the arranger although that does a disservice to his musical ability. Woody I love your channel and love it when your favourite subs interact. Woody and Ricky Tinez in the same week, what a bonus!
That looks like a lot of fun, I’ve a studio full of synths that I’m forever mucking around with but this thing just seems to deliver instant fun… love it.
Can we have an extended video of Jack being tested to play something that fits all (or a lot) of the various styles. He always seems to come up with a playing style to match whatever a keyboard throws at him - some talent!
Woody is legendary!🤣 as are you Jack. Arranger keyboards oft over-looked - but they are very powerful now - not just for beginners and enthusiasts. I am an ex-gigging musician whose most fun and useful keyboards are arrangers (Genos 1 and Korg Pa5X - in fact I bought the Pa5x from Andertons!). Whether you use them for midifile playback, creating your own backing tracks or creating backings on the fly. Very powerful, highly recommended🤣It's how you use them that makes them sound...errr cheesy or pro! Lookup the legendary Peter Baartmans (RIP sadly)
Yes, the Yamaha PSR-SX720 is a nice piece of kit, a good upgrade on the previous PSR-SX700 model. Compared to the more expensive PSR-SX920 the PSR-SX720 it is far better VFM. The PSR-SX720 is the one I would get out of those two new models, though the replacement for the PSR-SX600 is due out soon. Yamaha may squeeze what will likely be called the PSR-SX620 in before Xmas, for sure early on in the new year. That model would be worth checking out if a mid to top end arranger is wanted. Even a Yamaha PSR-E473 and the 76 key PSR-EW425 version are also worth checking out, though those two models are also due for replacement, most probably a short while after the PSR-SX600 is replaced. All the above models mentioned feature the ability to mute parts of the accompaniment section out, such as muting out other than the drums or the bass. Which is handy, so folks are in a way getting both a drum machine and a bass machine built in to these Yamaha arrangers, even if they are pre-set. (Though the tempo can be adjusted and many effects can be added) There must be plenty drum and bass programs out of the hundreds of 'styles' that can be utilised. I would use it for that amongst other things when using desktop synths alongside with it.
Great Video !! Ah shame it wasn't the SX920 you were previewing, not saying the SX720 is bad at all, but the 920 has a lot more unique new styles not even in the Genos2! Maybe next time!?
I ❤ Arranger Keyboard too! A bit sad the number of people playing chords in the left hand seems to be diminishing rapidly.. Let's come back to Caister or Blackpool🤣
Arrangers are very popular here in Mexico for playing cumbias like from "los angeles azules" it would be very funny to see you playing that music style, please make another video 🥺
Absolutely hilarious guys!!!👍 These things have always been too powerful for their own good but some of those sounds are really noice nowadays for expressing!!
jack, you're such a sweetie, thank for the shout-out, now back to the video!
Woody always nice to see you mentioned….when I’m wrong I’m wrong.

I always love the fact that Jack references so many RUclipsrs that I watch as well. It is a great little community.
No all inclusive Holiday Resort is complete without a good Arranger keyboard player!
Honestly this was just hilarious and Jack is just the best. Who cares if you'll never buy one!
Possibly the single most entertaining video I've seen this year.

And that ladies and gentlemen is the new PSR-SX720. Jack does it best (don't forget Oz's selections!)...great demo btw.
That was one oft the most fun videos i saw on this channel. Just amazing 😅
That was sick! You explained it really well!!!
Thanks for doing this vid. I've always been curious on these

Arrangers are so underrated!
I never had an arranger, played Korg Pa5x at a store and had a lot of fun and now I need one
Jack's back!!
"Imagine this down the bowls club" 😂😂
The Smokey and the Bandit beat was incredible!
SX-720 is a wonderful machine. I currently own an SX-700 which is a great machine too.

Here for jack’s demo.
Yamaha Genos is the most incredible instrument I’ve ever seen.
Nice
New PSR-SX workstation arranger keyboard !
Would an arranger be good for someone who mostly wants to sing and have a bit of piano in the background?

So out of depth with this one, but was still enjoyable to watch :D

that was so corny, it made me laugh!
UGH! :D Hello Oz! :D
Hola Jack....quisiera información para los envíos internacionales por favor ...
Saludos!!!
Anybody getting Super Mario Odyssey vibes from that jazz accompaniment? 🍄
❤
Style accompaniment, chord sync, variations, voice select..... All these features have been around in arrangers since decades....
I'm just gonna say it: Jack picking his own keys feels wrong somehow
These arrangers are made to sing with, not to make solos or pure musical entertainement imho
Not funny
Talk too much. Hate it. Stop!
Dont watch then…
This is a demonstration video. The talking is useful so that everyone is clear
about the intended audience for this type of keyboard.
