Looks yummy. You always crack me up when you taste the dish at the end. I don't know why. I think it's because most other cooking show hosts immediately exclaim, "Omg this this soooo good!", but you actually taste it and enjoy it. Anyway, thanks for all of the recipes over the years!
i discovered your site yesterday while looking at cinnamon roll recipes, and your video was very helpful. now today this fabulous recipe was in my mailbox. you're fun to watch, keep baking please!
*Joy of Baking*: Thanks Stephanie - I made these, they turned out GREAT (they looked the same as in the picture you provide!), and they were delicious!!
Ooooo I would love one of these. Scones are one of the things that my darling mother makes the most often. I'm looking forward to sharing my strawberry scones recipe in the spring time too 😊🍓🍓🍓🍓
I will diffidently try them but l will try them with a apple filling that l will make from scratch. l think they will be excellent mmm l can just taste them Now!!..Lol thanks for ur recipe l have always wanted to try an make the home made,. now I will.😄
hi thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooo much for telling me in grams. as I didn't realise cups have different weight like sugar being heavier that flour so would require less in cups. keep up using grams
I have made these 3 times since I found this recipe and I just love them. I sprinkled the top with some cinnamon sugar before baking and it gives them a little crunch and sweetness. I had trouble with the filling flowing out of the scones while baking so i tried baking them in the round with just scoring the top to see if I could keep the filling inside the scones while baking. The bottom of the scones did not cook fully this way and I had to put them back in oven to cook a little longer. However I did not loose any filling. Any suggestions to not loose the filling while baking pre- cut?
thanks for the time and effort you put into these videos. I find the step by step of how to add the ingredients (wet/dry, etc) very helpful because these are the tips not included in many recipe instructions and I know it makes a difference with the end result. I have a question - will this recipe work if I used Becel Olive Oil margerine?
Hello Stephanie! I'm a regular follower of your channel.Could you please upload the recipe of potato scones(savoury)and potato cheese scones.Years back I used to bake these and these used to come out very well.I've lost that recipe book, as such this request.Thanks.
Thanks Stephanie for making this video! :) I just made these and loved them, but I put too much jam in them and the tops slid down. I was wondering if there was a way I could bake these without that happening? Thanks so much :)
Hi. Thanks for you wonderful recipes. I love them n you.. i made this scones. N they are hit in my family. Thanks so much.. Im from zanzibar. Tanzania. Hope you hear about the island
I always watch these with the intention on making them. Haha. But honestly I just like watching someone cook. Especially when they know what they are doing
Stephanie do these scones hold together, it seems like a lot of butter for 260g of flour then eggs and cream. I just imagine they will be so rich they will fall apart.
hi stephanie.. i like all your video and tried some of the recipe. for this one, can i use the recipe from the chocolate chip scones instead? there, you’re using buttermilk..
hi @joyofbaking i want to join a food bazaar to sell my homemade scones..do you have any recommendation how to store it to make sure the scones are still delicious/flaky throughout the day..like for 10 hours time?
For buttermilk - take 1 cup (240 ml) milk and stir in 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before using. Instead of heavy cream you can use an equal amount of light cream or even milk.

I would try only putting the jam in the center of the scone. That way you should be able to seal the top to the bottom scone.
Hi, they look amazing would definitely try . Just wanted to know if we could stuff them with minced chicken? If yes, do share a recipe
thanks, great recipe! you're the best!
Hi can I do this with the eggless buttermilk scone recipe you hv demonstrated

Stephanie do these scones hold together, it seems like a lot of butter for 260g of flour then eggs and cream. I just imagine they will be so rich they will fall apart.
This recipe uses about the same amount of butter that all my scone recipes contain. I don’t find that they fall apart.
hi stephanie.. i like all your video and tried some of the recipe. for this one, can i use the recipe from the chocolate chip scones instead? there, you’re using buttermilk..
Yes you can do that.
thank you.. i will try it tomorrow

Yes, whole milk would be great.
Am trying this out too but I want to know how to make buttermilk and heavy cream
For buttermilk - take 1 cup (240 ml) milk and stir in 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before using. Instead of heavy cream you can use an equal amount of light cream or even milk.
Sounds great and going to try it out
can we make dough before in the night and bake in the morning
I've never tried it, but you should be able to do that.
I find that if I put one cup of flour into a food processor with the butter it works much better than hand. You should try it
Hello Mam, can I put any veggies instead of jam?
