I dont think many realize how truly difficult golf can be.
Much respect to Tiger. Legendary
Changed my mind about golf after watching this video.
@Mr King Rat Of The Gutter I'm looking forward to.
Yep, if you don't work out how to hit the club with a flat lead wrist, every time....you're playing "swing" forever.
@@tzortzkawaz6892 To what?
Uh I haven’t heard one person in my life call golf easy and I don’t think anyone else has either. So yes everyone realizes how truly difficult golf can be.
213 yards from the bunker with a….. 6 iron???? A legend.
Tiger >> your life.
A LOT of people would overlook this as being number 1 & not understanding the difficulty of the shot
I’ve shot with a 6 iron in the bunker from 180 yards in the bunker one time and made it on the hole! Unfortunately, it was my bogey shot.
the trusty 6 iron****
Over water to the shirt side of the green that has traps front and back? That's not real life
All i know about golf is
1. Tiger woods
2. You have to put the ball in a hole with ur club
#1 is all you need to know!
And that lots of animals get on this coruse
now you know aditi ashok too
3. Mario Golf
same dude lmaoo
In his prime he simply the best player ever. The shot from the sand over the water into the green from 216 yards out was masterful. None of current player are no where close to his drive and determination. A legend
and it was a 6 - iron
Could be luck
@@joesimpson4655 There is always going to be some luck involved. But when you train to such a degree and consistently make 'lucky' shots then it is beyond luck
That’s true and I hate that I wish more players had the will
Its actually painful watching Tiger at the moment. I feel so bad for him knowing how good he was. His head wants to play but his body isn't having it.
Tiger, an alien where a hole in one on his career debut is number 9 on a top 10 shots list.
That's the only way to describe him, inhuman. His countdown is unbelievable
Lol that’s so sick man
And his most famous shot isn’t even on the list, the chip at the masters on 16 I believe, where it sat on the edge for a second and dropped in.
schumi246 15
Rya it’s 16, maybe look it up before contradicting someone
Between 97 and 09 this guy was an absolute machine
That's what they said at the Waffle House.
AND this is with several "win-breaks" for changing his swing! ... 1998 was nearly a washout cause he went from Youth-1997 swing to Butch Harmon and then STEAMROLLED late 1999 when he figured it out. Then forward to late 2002 and iirc Hank Haney or his own swing and 2003-2004 okay years to learn it. Then boom in 2005-2009 practically steaming the field again, including winning the 2008 US on basically ONE LEG. Only real big flaw was losing the 2009 PGA from the lead before the scandal to Yang.
And then he came back from the crisis fully in 2013 and despite no major he won like 5 times in the spring or so ... and then ofc his swan song 2019 Masters.
He's the Jimi Hendrix of golf. Such unbelievable talent, confidence, belief, technique and creativity. He in many ways changed golf like Hendrix changed guitar. I always love these insanely talented people.
You're the Corky Thatcher of commenting.
That's actually a really good comparison. Jack will go down in history as the best, rightfully so, but I'll go to my grave knowing that Tiger was better. Take them both at their peak, gun to my head I'm taking Woods all day.
Same with Jimi. So many phenomenal guitarists, but unlike Tiger, I think the overall consensus is that he's #1.
Amazing thing about Jimi though, just like Kareem's skyhook, nobody has been able to replicate it. Not even close. A room within the room, Jimmy was ridiculously talented.
This guy Singlhandedly made golf the most exciting game to watch
“Does that remind you of anybody?”
“One guy, that guy.”
I read this and at the exact time they said that!😅😂🤣

I wish I could re-live the late 90’s and early 2000’s. My grandpa was still alive and we would watch Tiger every Sunday just dominate the field. Good times.
lol i was born in 02 Waddanera
There was a lot of good things in the late 90's and early 2000's. The music was better and we had so many legends in every sports like Golf, F1, Soccer, Basketball and Football. Everything between the transition of technology from analog to digital. It wasnt a decade, it was a piece of magic.
Man I almost cried reading this. I really need to spend more time with my grandparents. My grandfather taught me how to golf and now it's been 10 years since I last golfed with him.

You forgot Tiger's shot on the 16th Hole at the 2005 Masters - the greatest golf shot ever 🐐
Not a fan of Tiger Woods, but I agree with you. That shot 17 years ago was one of the all-time great moments in golf. The Nike ball took a short pause before it turned over and dropped into the cup. The announcer also made the moment with his legendary comment. Not sure how they missed this one. But at shot was incredible and memorable like nothing I have ever seen in golf.
I kept waiting for the clip of Tiger chipping in on 16 at Augusta in the 2005 Masters…that should definitely have made the top 10
They didn’t miss it, Augusta National owns the rights to that video.
These were non-majors top shots
@@truthanderror1038 think Nike profited from that logo hanging on the lip for like 5 seconds with hundreds of millions viewing around the globe at the final round of the Masters?
The excitement & fan fair he brought to golf was unreal & unmatched
I can`t see anyone topping Tiger for sheer talent, he will go down as the best Golfer in the history of the game.
If you take all the best Golfers of their era and put them together in their primes, Tiger is out in front.
youtuber83 by a country mile
youtuber83 I don't know man, Spieth is pretty similar to Tiger. Young, amazing at the sport, athletic, etc. In my opinion, Spieth is going to go down as the next Tiger.
Although that isn't to say that Tiger was fucking excellent. I agree that he is definitely the most talented golfer the game has seen to date.
Kyle Reese Listen man. Spieth is a great player and i like him a lot. But he has won one major, no one is going to ever win as many majors as tiger or jack for that matter, ever did. its a different era of golf. There are a good 50 players in the field in every tournament that can win, back when Tiger was playing, there mas maybe 15 that truly had a chance to win every week. So many good young players now.
LS7Liverpool True. Everyone said Mcilroy is the next Tigah...now Spieth, xD. Lebron is no tthe next Jordan
Jack (no need for a surname) is still the man to beat, or haven't you been paying attention in class.
No one brings out a crowd like Tiger.

He made it much more popular, no denying that. But it still had a very strong following before him.
Tiger's shot at 16th hole in 2005 masters is his best shot, if not the best shot in golf history.
The description says it excludes majors
Gene Sarazen's double eagle at the 15'th hole at the 1935 Masters was the greatest.
Tom Jackson true. Not sure how that shot isn't in here.

Bubba Watsons masters 2012 winning shot is the best shot in the history imo.

Please my all friends
haha true that lol
For a couple of seasons he was the most dominant player in history, even surpassing the top ever, that swing, his ability to save pars, his putting. He singlehandedly brought golf to the forefront of sports like no other, it was amazing to watch.
Hello , how are you ? How often do you play golf ?
For a couple a seasons lol he pretty much dominated golf for a decade
And had he not got in that car wreck and major surgeries he prob would have dominated for another decade
Actually he's dominating this whole century. For this era he's easily the best. Like you're talking about Lionel MESSI or LeBron James in this era.
For those who've played golf, we all know it's NEVER as easy as it looks XD. Many people just dismiss it as a boring game of simply hitting the ball but it's actually in fact pretty difficult when you try it. I remember my first time playing when I was a kid and I'm pretty sure i dug up a small trench.
Absolutely! And some people dismiss as NOT being a sport. They need to get out there and see what these guys can do. The athleticism it takes to hit a shot from a bunker, with the ball a foot or more beneath your feet, with trees in the way such that a massive draw is the only way to go at the pin, all the while need to hit it 200+ yards with an iron... yeah... that takes some serious athletic ability.
D.ZMTan Golf is fucking awesome sport coolest and so fun and it's extremely difficult game
PRETTY difficult? Hardest sport in the world by far.
Hardest game I've ever played. I played college baseball, wrestled through high school, I'm an avid surfer and guitarist, but nothing compares to golf.
Shane Santora only sport in the world where you can have the best day you've ever had and the worst day you've ever had the next day.
This guy is unbelievable. From what I’ve seen, he’s the best there is, an absolute prodigy. He may not drive like Rory or Rickie, but his accuracy is just unparalleled. I love watching those perfectly crafted 9 iron and pitching wedge shots. To me, a nice lofted shot off a par 3 tee that lands the green and stops on the dime is far more satisfying than a nice drive
He'll move it over 300 off the tee and that isn't too shabby.
Tiger's golf swing was absolutely perfect.
I love how excited his caddy gets every time he hits a good shot 😎
Coming from a guy who stared playing golf yesterday... Mr Woods is an absolute legend 🙌🏽
Tiger in his prime was untouchable. No man will ever be that good, not even McIlroy.
F--k mcliroy.I hope tiger regains his prime soon
Sylvester the Hedgehog screw you and screw tiger
Rolls Reus Back in his porn star orgy days he could really get it done! Always loved that par three dart against Lehman in that playoff. Lehman was already in the water and Woods only needed a par to win and he stuffed it to a foot! That was just a perfect shot in a big moment.
Gman6755
Are you just born to have an irrelevant opinion or?
No matter how good someone is at any given skill, there is always someone else that will be better - a fact of life.
Prime Tiger has never been and might never be replicated. Just truly amazing to watch.
Yeah and how are you doing
Tigers father deserves every credit Imaginable. Tiger started golf at just 2 years of age but it was his father who had the networking relationships with tv shows that allowed tiger to be sponsored at 3 years old on tv. He practiced soo much and for so many years that by the time he played golf for real at 12 years old, he had an average of 6 years more time playing and practicing than the golfers he faced. By the time he was 18, he was leagues ahead. And the story wrote itself.
ah, that makes a lot of sense
Tiger's dad used his Green Beret mind set to help Tiger conquer golf.
Plus, he was an absolute shagger.
Wow
Facts his father was behind his success. When his father died he became misguided
That last one…. Man those people are brave standing RIGHT in front of his shot.
I feel fortunate to have watched him during his whole career. GOAT.
Tiger Woods, what a legend....
Tee shot, final round of the 2019 Masters will now forever be legendary. That shot locked it up in my opinion.
When I am sad in life I come watch this and gets me back smiling. Oh boy I miss TW playing live !!! hope he comes back stronger GOAT
That 2000 Canadian Open happened in the town I grew up in and we were all glued to TVs during this tournament. Total shock when he did that. Some of the most exciting golf ever witnessed.
Had injuries not caused this man to hit a wall we'd probably be talking about a golfer with 20+ major's and 100+ PGA victories. It wasn't just the victories he accumulated, it was how he played the game. The Tiger Woods we saw from 1997-2009 may be the most dominating performance by any athlete, in any sport.
Yes, it is a shame that injuries got to him. Definitely the greatest golfer of all time.
the only comparison i can make is to secretariat.
kevin medlock combo of his scandal, switching his caddy, and death of father ended his run, not injuries
***** don't kid yourself, the injuries played a big part too. before all that scandal he won the US Open at Torrey Pines w/one good leg and did immeasurable damage to his knees in the process.
Getting busted by his wife for cheating is what destroyed his mental game, obviously big part of golf, then the physical injuries set in and he was done. Its a shame.
This guy brings excitement to the sport of golf. More excitement means more viewers.
I’ve seen this atleast 10 times and it still amazes me everytime
Wow, really fun to watch. I'm lucky in that I picked up golf in 1999 and fell in love with it right away. I missed Tiger's first couple of years as a pro, but I was privileged to watch a lot of golf, and a lot of Tiger, over the next 10 years, during his prime. Just stunning how good he was during that period. I wish I had watched Jack in his prime to have perspective, but man was Tiger good during this stretch.
My dad watch Nicklaus in his prime. But for him he's still glad that he can watch a young boy that doesn't so far from Nicklaus in different era.
Imagine playing this man in mini golf
Imagine playing him in golf bruh wym?
@@bobmarley-gy5tj They mean he would be so dang good
I remember watching on live TV that shot at the Canadian Open in the bunker over water. It was INSANE!! No one has ever seen that kind of ability ever.
It's pretty incredible to think that the best shot he ever hit didn't even end up on the green... which is to say, that's how crazy that shot was. Final hole to complete the US/British/Canadian Open trifecta, 200+ yards out of sand completely over water to a tight pin. Mind boggling.
Very proud to say I remember every one of those shots. Tiger was hands down the greatest golfer of all time.
Me too sir, me too
...literally had goosebumps from start to finish.
Man if I could go back in time I'd go watch this when it happened live. There's only one Tiger on the golf course.
I've been thinking about that last shot for years and trying to find it, thanks PGA Tour. That was the best shot ever, amazing.
The crazy thing is that the debate isnt if he's one of the greatest golfers ever, but if he's one of the greatest athletes ever, period. And not just the greatest, but the most influential and culturally relevant. To be asking that about a golfer?? That's incredible.
I will always have respect for Tiger Woods. This man knows how it feels to be on top of the world.
You have to be kidding! The 2005 Masters shot from the fringe isn't in your top 10???
The description says excluding majors
TDH24Live Yup you are correct. It does say that in the description. But I was just reading the title so I was mislead. But they did put in the description so I guess that's fair game. Thank you for correcting me :)
Exactly, there are quite a few Masters shots better than any of these but the chip at 16 2005 not even on here that led to his 4th jacket?? Wow.
Charles Jones PGA TOUR does not have rights to Masters footage
It was an awesome moment, but even if they could include it, I'm not sure it should have made his best 10 shots. The feed down the hill on 16 at Augusta gives you a big landing area for a similar result. Seems to me anyway. Could be wrong
I was working around the green for that last shot at the Canadian Open. It was an incredible atmosphere as Tiger closed out the "Open Triple Crown" (British Open, U.S. Open & Canadian Open). What a shot!!!
While his Masters chip-in will be memorable forever, the amount of skill and talent to pull this shot off is mind-blowing. It's the best shot he's ever hit on the TOUR.

i would play golf with my mom a lot when i was little, but i didn't try it out for a long time. i always thought it was boring to watch and never wanted to try it myself, but watching tiger play changed my mind. his enthusiasm was infectious, i ended up learning to play myself and made lots of great memories with my mom. if my vision wasn't so bad now i'd love to play again. i might go ahead and just give it a try, even if i only get a bunch of bogeys lol

How beautiful was it to watch Tiger lead the US team to win the Presidential Cup in Australia today. So glad Tiger you got a grip on things and came back. You are a winner in more than golf. Congrats to the entire team that represented us in Australia. Good job!!!
So many times i've heard the "He's the next Tiger Woods" Until someone wins straight junior and amateur champions in a row and wins as much tournaments and majors combined and matches his records then that person owns that title but until then theres only ONE TIGER WOODS.
For a little under 15 YEARS straight.. this man destroyed anybody and everyone on the course. Truly one of a kind. He was a massive influence on my decision to pick up golf back in the 90s when i first saw him

Just starting playing golf and it is super difficult, mad respect to Tiger for making it look so easy

The crowds reaction is amazing. You don't see that now a days with modern day players.
David Castro ... like a WWE pop when the Rock came out!
The look Tiger gave his caddie, Steve, after that last shot is priceless! I miss those day.
Those who haven’t golfed won’t understand why Tiger is so phenomenal!
I can see.
I frequently see comments around the internet from people who don't play golf saying things like, "Golf isn't a sport, or golf isn't that hard, you just hit the ball." These people have no idea how difficult golf is, or just how alien Tiger was in his prime in his abilities. Anyone can bash a perfect drive as hard as they can... once. Anyone can hit the perfect iron shot for a hole in one or miracle shot across water... once. Anyone can drain an absurdly long, double-breaking putt... once. Anyone can pull off a crazy pitch shot from deep trouble... once. Tiger did these things over and over, on command, under the highest level of competitive pressure for over a decade. Even we golfers probably don't fully comprehend just how good Tiger was, because he could do things with a golf ball none of us will ever be able to do... certainly not on purpose. I can enjoy great musicians, but that doesn't mean I have any idea what it takes to recreate that music.
@@haroldfarquad6886 nothing easy in this life. We just underestimate thinks that we saw not that hard without even try

I miss the dominant Tiger so much...I'm hoping he comes back strong next year.
He looks done unfortunately 😭
MrFALLENHER0 I don't think he's done in terms of possibly winning another tournament, his 2015 Masters performance was pretty sharp overall, but is definitely done playing on a regular basis on the PGA Tour. His aggressive playing style in his younger years caught up with him. That ultra powerful swing of his just obliterated his knees and his back.
True. I honestly dont get how swinging a club and destroy your back and knees like geesh golfers are weaklings lol
Pro Golfers swing at 100+ MPH on average and use a great deal of strength in the back and shoulders, all while keep their left or right leg (depending on if your left or right handed) as still as possible. The back and still leg, take a great deal of pressure on the downswing, which is why a lot of golfers require back and knee surgeries at some point.
With Tiger, he required surgeries rather early in life because he is a rather big guy and had probably the most powerful swing in the game, it got the point where his left leg and his back could barely take it anymore.
Oh wow. Wonder why he doesn't retire
I don’t ever think Tiger will get the true credit he deserves for what he did for the game of Golf. The energy that he had and the way he made his shots seem as exciting as a last second three or touch down to win the game. He came in and he quickly lived up to the hype and so much more.
💯
Swing is so fluid, amazing just amazing
People who haven't played golf see this is amazing, but you have tried golf you understand this is out of this world!
On the first shot the caddy goes to celebrate with him but Tiger runs the other way 😂
Amazing! It could be a boring sport but his shots were umbelievable
