I started jiu jitsu training about 6 - 8 weeks ago and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I rolled my foot and ankle while walking to the sidelines after a training session, I've been out of training for about two weeks and I hate missing it. My ankle feel almost back to normal, but there is a spot on my mid/outerfoot that hurts like hell when inverting. Hoping this method of taping will get me back to some decent training -- definitely going to start back with just some lighter drills at first to see how it goes, but I miss rolling so much! Thank you for the video!
Dude same! So far ive rested for a week cause i can barely walk now on it after powering through cause i dont want to miss training too. How long can you wear this wrap for?
Great video thanks BMac! Got hit with a nasty toe hold back in December and reinjured it the same way in a comp recently. Needed a better support than those ankle sleeve's. Thank you for the wisdom kind sir 👍👇👌
I sprained the ligament on the inside and the motion I want to prevent is the opposite of the one in the video. What should I change to wrap it correctly? Thank you
Hi, I twisted my ankle 6 months ago. I went to a doctor and he said that I need to rest for 3 weeks and after this, I can back to training. It was a mistake because in the first training after an injury I twisted my ankle again. After this moment I stop training on the ground (I train MMA). I went to physiotherapy and I was recovering with him for 2 months. He told me that I should stop training ground for more than 3/4 month, I did. Right now is the moment when I can back to training what I love the ground. But I still worry about my ankle, should I tape my ankle? And what happened to you that you need to tape your ankle every time? I apologise for my English :)
Hey man! My ankle is injured from repeated accidents in basketball and other sports. You should definitely tape your ankle or get a good ankle brace until you see more comfortable with it!
Thanks bro, Been 3 month training through ankle injury . Hope this helps . I usually put ankle brace but its not so supportive
Thanks for this video! It was really helpful. Also that Brazilian accent was on point lol
Thank you! My fake Brazilian accent is my best quality 😂
I tried this today while rolling and it was a game changer. Wouldn’t have been able to step on the mat to train otherwise. Oss!
@@brandonmcninja What is the beige tape called brah?
Needed this for training tonight, thank you

If it’s a rolled ankle, this will get you back to feeling like you can move a little. Sprained ankle takes a while though. Don’t rush it.
no no no same stuff bro just give it 2 more weeks, i am suffering the same , just when i thought i thought get back at it the pain hit back
