Whilst "back then" EC came from deathcore, they're now somewhere in between Metalcore and Trancecore/Electronicore....but I guess they'll do whatever they feel works and metal genres aren't really a thing nowadays anymore.
Not sure the name of the genre, probably electronicore, but a couple bands I'd check out would be We Butter The Bread With Butter, I See Stars, Beyond All Recognition, and the Browning
Just use "Electric Callboy" as your search/genre to for the playlist / base it off one of the songs of theirs you like. Really only way, let the algo guide you.
