People are often saying this, but short films are like a short story and movies are like novels, both are good in their own right, just depends what you want.

this better than a horror movie? I could write a better plot, and I didn't watch more than 30 movies in my life.

That poor woman 👩🥲 First , her husband cheated with her sister, and now THAT 😢
So well done! It did make me a little sad; the poor woman just found out about her husband having an affair with her sister and wanted to get some time away in nature. She was prepared with her life vest and knife, clearly an avid kayaker...and her bad day got infinitely worse!
The other people in the river were horrifying! Were they other victims? Were they trying to warn her?
I love the ocean, but murky rivers or lakes have always spooked me. Now I'm even MORE spooked! Excellent job!

This is the reason i have given this film a thumbs down. The director obviously ran out of ideas there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You can tell Sarah is an avid kayaker. Her strong power stroke spins that boat around like nothing! Around here, if something bumps your kayak. You really do have something to worry about. Great short film, very much enjoyed that.

This reminds me of the Geico commercial, "When you're in a horror movie you make bad decisions". Just get out of the water! You are 5 feet from safety during the whole video!
Good, grief, that was absolutely terrifying! Stunning cinematography, exceptional acting and a genuine sense of growing, creeping unease and dread. One of the best horror shorts I've ever seen. Superb - well done to all concerned!

Ok so my only issue is the fact that she is literally 5 feet from the bank of the river and she swims to her flimsy kayak that the river ghosts already knocked over instead lol

I agree. I thought the green woman that she saw first was horrifying. The monster at the end - not so much. Everything else was great.

I was going to die twice. Once when the ghost lady appeared first and her eyes lightened through mobile screen and the climax was going to be the climax of my life.

Lake horror always does it for me, and especially hands and feet being waggled around in the murkiness, that gives me the eebie jeebies. This film is right up there with one of my favourites: The Raft by Stephen King

When a movie starts off with that awful shanty "row, row your boat" (yeah, I do find it terrifying, always have) you know the movie will scare you.

This is good! I've watched about 20 of these short films so far. I couldn't guess what was going to happen next & it was correctly labeled as Horror. 👍👍👍
Good short. It's like the ending of the first Friday The 13th meets The Creature From The Black Lagoon...lol!
Now THAT'S A HORROR! I got scared few times! And it's nearly to impossible make me feel that way. Great job! But one thing I don't understand, at the end, why can't Sarah just climb off the boat? There was a ground but she asked to call for help instead of reaching the ground where was a boy standing. Still great film. My favorite part is when she tried to zoom that thing with her phone and then dropped it into the water full of those creepy heads.

When I first started watching: " Boy, I bet there's some really decent fish in that River." Seeing all the trees and cover right up to the waterway and even hanging out over a good way over the "Narrows " of that River : " Damn, I bet there HAS to be some monster sized Trout in the faster water and maybe a Catfish or two in the deepest slower regions !" Seeing those " River Zombies " and that " Green Lady " Creature : WELL NOW ! I must be at the NOPE River located in DAFAQistan , I guess I WON'T wanna fish HERE ! I'm OUTTA HERE ! Great Shot Film by the way . I will be a bit more careful around the River next to my place. This Film brings a WHOLE other meaning to the term " River Monsters " and I AM not referring to huge Fish or Jeremy Wade( or His totally AWESOME Show ) either !

I have two phobias that I know of: thalassophobia (fear of deep water) and phasmaphobia (fear of ghosts and supernatural apparitions). For the latter, of course, I don't know from direct experience, but only when I consider how much more strongly my fear level spikes when I watch these kinds of horror movies as opposed to any other kind of horror genres or monsters. Anyway, coming back to this short film here......yeah, I'm pretty much dead now.
