Gorgeous country.....wouldn't we all love to own something like that. I have some quail on my 20 but I think they are released birds from a big hunting lease across the road from us. Cool to run into them and flush them once in awhile. Good shooting BTW.
Truly enjoyable to watch those dogs in action. I'm usually partial to dogs that can take a football tackle in our play even if I sport bruises I have to make dumb excuses for, but these little guys did an excellent job and were endearing to see in their exuberance of the hunt.
Never got to do any quail hunting myself but my dad did way back said its some of the finest hunting you'll ever do...hope we can do it soon gotta make it happen
Still pretty good here in So Texas. We still see 10 to 15 coveys a day with 15 birds in each. I do long for the old days of 20 to 30 coveys with 30 to 40 birds in each one.
2 pine trees 😁! These were released, I don't know of any place that offers a wild bird hunt or has a large population. It's becoming extremely difficult to find wild birds anymore, they have dwindled in numbers.
That was awesome sir! I miss the quail here in Florida. Us Floridians need to start killing fire ants on our property and start raising and releasing quail like we did the turkeys back in the late 80's. That shoot really made me miss the experience.
This seems like so much work! All I do is wait 20 minutes after shots start coming from the fields across the road and I've got 50 to 75 quail or doves sitting 5- 10 feet off the front porch no need for a shotgun just use a pellet gun or a sling shot even had success using a blow gun once!
Nothing better than a covey rise at dawn followed by a skillet full of fried quail and gravy. Livin' the good life.
Amen!
Nice enjoyed the video . Great shooting . Love to watch the dogs work .
Those dogs are awesome!
What an awesome quail hunt. Doesnt get any better than watching those dogs work!
Yes it's great watching them!

I sure don't see quail like I did when I was a kid. The population has dwindled, a lot more farming, raccoons and fire ants nowadays.

I love watching these dogs, they are so excited about what they do, also very proud of themselves when they find, flush or retrieve birds.
Hi Andrew nice to see you have some time off from the house build. Looks like a nice spot. Have fun and take care. 🇨🇦
Thank you, we had a great time!
That was very cool buddy! The dog work and shooting were great!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi, Andrew! That is beautiful country. Thanks for sharing your quail hunt! It’s about time you took some time to relax, Young Man!
I really enjoyed this hunt.
Never got to do any quail hunting myself but my dad did way back said its some of the finest hunting you'll ever do...hope we can do it soon gotta make it happen
I'm just starting it and love it.
Shooting trees and forgetting to load that would be my luck also. Those dogs deserve a special treat.
Lol yep! Those dogs are prized and babied, trust me.
Reminds me of back in the day Quail hunting in central Texas on a buddies ranch. Looked like good times all the way around, thanks for Sharing Andrew!
It was a great time, I wish we had wild quail like when I was a kid.
Mr Doug we miss you have a good day sir

Thank you for watching! Only my second time ever doing this, but it's amazing watching the dogs work and of course the quail taste awesome too.
Beautiful country, love Quail. Well trained dogs, love seeing that recall. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching
47 quail and how many pine trees(?). LOL Andrew were these wild or released birds? Regardless of which it looked like
lots of fun.

Are you guys shooting 20 gauge??? I love to see those dogs working and enjoying the hunt also.
Yes we both are shooting 20s, those dogs are awesome.
@@TKOutdoors you need to train bullet ahahaha to hunt
Yeah right, that little scaredy cat hates guns.
I would love to see more content like this from you, Andrew. Thanks
I'm hoping after the house is done, I can't start fishing and hunting a little more.
Them some good dogs....I remember Mr. Ed Perry in Mayo had some good bird dogs
I'm ready to get me a good bird dog.
NICE HUNT
Thank you for watching
Good shooting fellas 🤙🏼🤙🏼

I would love to get in on that myself. I use to see quail everywhere when I was a kid.
Bird dogs are amazing animals. Do they hear, smell or see the birds? Anyway, I loved the video.
I think all 3 senses come into play with them. Especially smell!
Ain't been quail huntin' since I left West for East Texas in '89. Don't think I've seen one around here in a few years that wasn't growed on a farm.
They have vanished, I don't hardly ever see quail anymore.
Andrew what is your gun of choice and do you have to use steel or lead shot thxs
#8 or #9 Lead shot and 20 gauge is my preferred choice. I am shooting a cheap over and under Yildiz from Academy sports.
@@TKOutdoors Thank you

Lol we don't have that luxury
Lol. You almost could’ve grabbed that one with your hand. 😂
No kidding 😳
Them shotguns sound good 👍
Click click oh I forget the bullets
It happens 😡😬
@@TKOutdoors more like Chris took out the bullet's lol 😆
Are you just doing this for fun or are you in need of food?
