- A memorial service takes place for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Eyer on Friday, May 3, 2024, at First Baptist Church in uptown Charlotte. Officer Eyer was killed while serving a warrant in east Charlotte on April 29, 2024.

I’ve been a paramedic for almost a decade. Going to these is always one of the toughest part of the job. Our jobs as first responders are hard enough then add in the ptsd and funerals it really is a lot. My condolences to all the families and to the department.
