I didn't mind the 25 minutes a bit! I still think the bowl turned out just fine from here. Thanks for covering us in resin a time or two, lol. Hope you have a great weekend!
It’s gorgeous. All the colors worked well together. Nice to watch how creative you are in fixing those cracks. Those cracks give it character and uniqueness, kind’a like us humans. 😆
I love seeing new concepts and putting in Resins - I stated over 50 years ago and did some glue stuff and since some nice stuff. I would like to see you work with a large chunk of "cholla cactus wood " with color inside and outside. Nice table lamp or something else. Flower vase. Search for the quote and think about an experiment!
Hello Doug, your resin and wood bowls are always stunning. You have the ability to always find the most amazing colors, the blues that you used with the other colors is magnificent and breathtakingly stunning. It is awesome to look at.
I personally think the video should have been longer! This bowl is a master piece if you ask me. I really enjoy watching the "silly" strings shoot off followed by the wood shavings. It is almost soothing to me! Thank you for another great video!!
I couldn't agree with Katie more and the time flies by. I follow a few wood working channels and yours is the only one I don't skip through! 😅 You're great at what you do. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop.
@ Katie-Bell, the awesome thing is that he finds those mistakes, points them out and explains why they happened. That has got to help a lot of people. Time spent watching these projects is never wasted.
I've watched a TON of your videos, and I think this is my first time to comment. I like that bowl. A video, no matter the length, with good quality content is what we like. Keep up the excellent work!
Beautiful piece. I really appreciate you showing us the things that pop up in the process, and how you work your way through them. Might help some of us down the road when we see something similar.
Neat idea. I like where your going. We have a blue hole here in the desert. It is called the Santa Rosa blue hole. You can look it up online. There is nothing but sand and rock all around then POW big blue hole. It is cold too. Mostly sandstone.
The bowl looks great. Love to watch as you work out (on video) problems with the resin, the wood. What ever. Gives folks an idea they can do this too. Results are what results are...
Thank you Bob, part of the reason I leave in my mistakes and how I get around them, so other know it is possible to make things and not be perfect at it.
You are definitely a perfectionist. I think it's gorgeous. We are all able to buy perfect, machine made items in the store. The flaws that come with the wood and materials is what makes handcrafted things unique and interesting. And by the way, watching you turn things is absolutely mesmerizing so don't ever feel the need to skip aspects of the process. lol
well I found that is what I like about others videos that show their mistakes, so I let them be and show them along with how I try to get around them if I can.

Looks great as always Doug. Love it! I just started a Box Elder and blue resin project before this video came out. I'm not done with it yet but it has made me a fan of using Box Elder. Love how the colors in this wood pop especially when it's spalted and has the red in it.
What!! Its so lovely! Don't be so hard on yourself! At one point, even DaVinci thought himself a failure, and _he_ created some of the most brilliant pieces of art in history. I think it looks absolutely stunning! What you see as imperfections I see as one-of-a-kind uniqueness. 25 minutes ain't nothing!
