Jim, these bowls really evoke a Van Gogh feeling. They are just simply lovely
I totally agree… I immediately thought of “The Starry Night” when I saw the hyper-shift.
it looks more modern art to me, but i like where youre going with it too.
Or Picasso. Beautiful
Fun fact Van Gogh had some lathe experience by way of some therapy.
That was my first thought. "It looks like a Picasso" @@davidneil3811
I showed my wife this video to show her that I needed all my scrap wood. I'm not sure she was convinced. Another beautiful piece.
Haha, maybe try showing her the finished piece. Thanks
That bowl has both a Picasso feel with the bright colors and strong shapes, then you change direction and get a Van Gogh impressionistic feel. I love it!
Thank you very much!
My thoughts, exactly!
They look like some kid went berserk in their toy box: totally random and organic. Awesome results!😊
Thank you very much!
With these projects using left over pieces I either love them or hate them. Love these bowls. They remind me of stained glass, especially the small one. Thank you for the video.
Thank you so much!
I like when your thumbnail shows what you start with instead of the finished piece. I like being surprised.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much!
When you catch your breath, I would watch a compilation of the pieces you've sold, highlights from 2024, and whatever else you'd like us to see. I'd watch in like, April.
I will give it some thought. Thanks
Just another reason to never throw away scrap wood! Wonderful job.
Thank you very much!
There is nothing left to say that hasn’t already been said. Absolutely spectacular. Well done Jim
Thank you so much!
My oh my! We can never underestimate the beauty of leftovers. Incredible! I love seeing what your imagination comes up with.
True! Thanks so much!
Reminds me of the 70’s. Absolutely stunning and great use of “leftovers “.
Thanks, it does have that vibe!
Reminds me of a kaleidoscope when it’s spinning. Loved it!
Absolutely! Thank you very much!
These remind of those old stained glass lamp shades. I love incorporating offcuts into my projects, especially with vivid colors like this.
Yes, it has that vibe, thanks!
I watch your videos all the time and share them with my husband. Now, I am always comparing your work to others and picking out their mistakes and carelessness in their work ethics. Now, for Christmas, my husband went out and bought me some old wood turning equipment and wants me to learn to turn wood. So I could use some good starter points to learn from.
By the way, I really love those two bowls, and I really am so glad you leave your mistakes in and teach what not to do.
The best advice that I can give you is look for a Woodturning club in your area and go to the meetings. They will be a wealth of knowledge and will have tools and lathes for sale. You’ve got a good husband 😜😜 thanks.
This is true, unadulterated, wild, eclectic art. An explosion of shapes and colors. 100% original! Inimitable beauty and splendor! 🙂🙃🙂
Wow! Thank you very much!
Turning scrap into art - great job! These turned out incredible beautiful! Nicely done! 😊 Designer Epoxy 😊
Thank you so much!
Two wonderful bowls! Excellent medley of former projects amalgamated into one! The blue really highlights the different figures in the various woods and resins! Cool!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
You turned what could be trash into treasure thay are so lovely I can't wait till next week
Thanks so much! Much appreciated!
Speechless! Beautiful doesn’t do these justice! ❤❤❤ I think you need to do more of these!
Designer Epoxy
More to come! Thanks so much!
That is the prettiest set of bowls I have ever seen. I love color and patterns. These are stunning.
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
Yes... it's very 'busy' but also very beautiful. The sapphire blue along with the hyper shift really gives it the kapow factor!
As always, have a great weekend, but more importantly I sincerely hope that you, your family and your channel all have a wonderful 2025!
Wishing you all the very best going forward 👍
Thank you so very much!
I think these two pieces are my favourite of almost all previous projects. Absolutely stunning. Well done, Jim! I too love a busy, colourful piece! ;)
Thanks so much!
Your Picasso is showing! 😄 I've never been a fan of his, but I'm sure a fan of your work! I love it, Jim! It's beautiful!
Thank you so much!
absolutely love this two bowl set, the blue with hypershift is perfect setting for the unique wood pieces. The larger bowl looks like an otherworldly landscape - beautiful! Designer Epoxy!
Thank you! That wood really does look like a landscape.
Nothing like designer epoxy. Love this turn. Really love the Saphire Blue color and then when you add the hypershift, it is simply amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you so much!
Jim, I haven't watched for a month or two, but I'm so glad I watched this video. This is so beautiful and makes this an amazing work of art.
Welcome back! Glad you enjoyed it!
How could anyone not like this !! Kinda looks like outer space !!
Thank you so much!
You have achieved true randomness! And it looks incredible.
Thank you so much!
Wow - just wow! Your eyes can feast for days on these incredible bowls.
Thank you so much!
Designer Epoxy Wow this is so cool. The pieces of wood seem as if they’re floating when the light is shining through the bowls. I agree that the more you look at the bowl the more you see. And to think that this was made with leftovers from previous turnings. Ahhhhhh, the epitome of recycling Jim.
Thank you so much!
OMG I love this piece. So glad you tried adding the hypershift after the vacuum pot, it is the best one yet. There is so much going on with these bowls. You need to do more like this. Designer Epoxy has saved a lot of pieces that would have ended up in the trash otherwise. Love all the different woods and globes added together. AWESOME
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you like it!
I wasn't sure how much I would like these, but they turned out great. Love the colors of the Designer Epoxy, and the hypershift is, as always, amazing.
Thank you very much!
Totally looked like 1920's modern art, Picasso-ish. Also, looked intentional, I wouldn't think that was an upcycle/repurposed project. *FANTASTIC, JIM!* ❤
designer epoxy
Appreciate that, thanks!
Designer Epoxy
I really like how busy these are. That little bowl is a stunner!
Appreciate that, glad you like it.
You certainly weren’t kidding about it being busy. That said, I also love it. Awesome job as usual. Designer epoxy.
Thank you very much!
Nice choice with the blue and hyper shift. I love the contrast with all that different color wood. That thing really pops!
Thanks!
I love the busy look! Sorry, the other two split, what a bummer. Just stunny!
Thank you, sometimes things just don't go as planned.
Busy, crazy, unique - and proof that there is no "scrap" material...
Love these 👏👏👏❤
Thanks so much!
Branch in the small one looks like a lemon slice, I like it
Thank you so much!
You kept calling them busy, but I love them. They're definitely not too busy for me! Designer Epoxy
Thanks so much!
The colors in these are phenomenal. There is not a decor they won't go with. Designer epoxy is the bomb!
Absolutely, you are correct! Thank you very much!
Love the bowls. Normally, I'm more of an "ordered" kind of guy, but the randomness/busyness of these really came out well, especially with the blue of the epoxy. Wonderful work.
Thank you so much!
love the fact you’re recycling, it always comes out great, Jim. 😊😊
Thank you, it’s fun to find new ways to use up scraps.
I wasn't sure how all the pieces would look in the bowls, but they turned out incredible! I really love them! Great job! Designer epoxy
Thank you so much!
My wife, god rest her soul, would have absolutely loved this set because of how eclectic it is. Great work.
Thank you so much! Sorry for your loss!
2 very busy beauty bowls. Very nice.
Thank you very much!
Really fantastic way to use ‘leftovers’! Never knew there were so many exotic woods…..and the colors!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Jim, you are absolutely right. You could look at these bowls for days and still see something new the next time. The blue plus hyper shift is a good thing. I would have a hard time selling those two pieces as well. They are both stunning. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much!
That's exactly what I do with my offcuts and resin. Fruit Bowls and large eggs. Looks Fantastic Jim😊
Thank you very much!
I thought I’m not going to like this being so busy, but I I’m surprised how much I like it. Great job, Jim as usual.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I felt your frustration when the 2 bowls self-destructed but I was happy to see the end results. Beautiful!
Designer Epoxy
I appreciate that! There’s always a little bit of risk involved, that’s part of the fun. 😜
So much to see in them both. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! I could look at these for hours an see so many things in them. It sure looked like the side top of a birds head with an eye in the big bowl. Then in the same bowl, I saw a dogs head. Wow what an imagination I have.
Ha ha! You do! Thanks so much!
Jim, absolutely eye popping & 2 magnificent bowls. 🇦🇺
Thank you very much!
the ghosting in this piece actually looks really cool! and those areas where the hyper shift gathered, wow. i love work like this because the randomness of it always makes for some interesting stuff happening by chance.
Designer Epoxy
Thanks so much!
These bowls are fabulous!! They look like stain glass work! As usual, you’re a genius! I really like that you are recycling your excess!!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
I absolutely love these bowls, the larger of the two is amazing, the hyper-shift is reminding me of the Northern lights, just beautiful
Thank you so much!
Loving the randomness. And the spheres have always been my favourites and I love the subtlety of them being embedded in the hypershift this time around.
Thank you so much!
Each bowl offers a different view of the casting. Love that blue! Really enjoy watching the art you make on your lathe.
Thanks for watching! Much appreciated!
I love these bowls. I’m so glad that you use cast off pieces instead of throwing them away. 😊❤
It’s good to reduce, reuse, recycle. Thanks
Great way to give scraps new life. Turned out great.
Thank you so much!
these two look absolutely great!!!! the designer epoxy and the hypershift really work in this one.
Thank you very much!
Oh my!! I have a new favorite. It looks like a painting! It is absolutely gorgeous.❤❤
Thanks so much! I appreciate that.
I hope you do more of these! Sorry you lost the two little ones, but the two you got are my new favorites!
Thank you so much!
Love the use of leftovers. Beautiful blue. Designer Epoxy
Thanks so much!
Such beautiful work. You are absolutely amazing. I’m fascinated by how your mind comes up with these ideas. I hope that you repurpose the two broken bowls into another piece, similar to this one. Designer epoxy has turned your bowls into pure joy.
I appreciate that!I will definitely incorporate them into another in the future!
These bowls are stunning! I love the refurbished pieces, blue and hypershift colors! Simply beautiful!!
Thank you so much!
It was fun to see the remains of projects past. These bowls are beautiful Jim.
It is! Thanks so much!
I love how you reuse the smaller pieces 👏
I always try to find a use for everything!
Why does this give me 80s vibes in the best possible way?! Awesome piece!!!
Thanks so much!
I love it right out the bucket. It looks like modern art. 😊
Thank you, I appreciate that!
😮❤❤❤ Jim that bowl came out so beautiful that you lost two of them, but you still have two left. The colors are amazing truly amazing and that hyper made everything just pop. I loved it. I’ll see you in the next video.😊😊😊
Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!
Really cool bowls! It is so complex, you really see something new every time you look at it. The designer epoxy worked perfectly.
Thank you very much!
Your bowls turned out so beautiful, all the different shapes and colors make them really nice.

Great job Jim once again. Designer Epoxy comes thru again.

Somewhere over the rainbow is a bowl full of color with stars all around.
Nicely done, awesome bowl set.

Love the busy-ness of the bowls. Designer Epoxy.
Thanks so much!
From trash to treasure, LOL great job Jim Designer Epoxy
Thanks, glad you liked it!
It's giving such 90s vibes!!
I can see that! Thanks so much!
Beautiful bowl and I like the little man leaning against the dog house in the bottom of the mother bowl. Designer Epoxy. Also, nice slice of apple in the small bowl.
Appreciate the eye for detail! Thanks so much!
What a work of art! I’ve never seen anything like it.
Thank you so much!
Watching on the home tv. These bowls are gorgeous. Love love love! So full of character!
Thank you very much!
Thank you for showing that nothing goes to waste. Beautiful artistic bowls
You are very welcome!
You are back on track, best piece of work since you been back
Thank you so much!
That was awesome ! Good to know how to use spare wood in that work ! It's a very economical thinking ! Thank You ! 😄
You're very welcome! Thanks
I always love a good way to use all my scrap pieces. I save every little corner, cut and variety of wood that I can just to do this sort of thing. Very nice looking bowl, Jim. Design or epoxy.
Thank you very much!
I love that colour of blue. Another beautiful piece.
Thanks so much!
I love these. My favorite is the smaller one because the pieces that you pointed out remind me of wedges of fruit. I would love to see more projects like this.
Thank you, I appreciate you saying that!
Lots of fun in those bowls - they are lively and elegant. Great Job!
Thank you so much!
Amazing how it all came together after seeing the pile of wood you started with. I guess I am a busy fan…..love these two bowls!
Thank you, sometimes it just works!
Absolutely love these - it’s like looking at Van Gough, Miró, and Picasso artwork in bowl form. Thank you for the amazing video! 🇬🇧😍

Thank you so much! Appreciate that!
Jim, stunning with all of the different words and epoxy.
Designer epoxy.

They may be a little busy but they are absolutely beautiful. The hyper shift from Designer Epoxy really disperses well taking the extra step.
Thanks so much!
