This brought back memories on many levels. When I lived in Jerusalem in 1975 a family I knew visited during Succot and stayed at the hotel. They invited me to Sunday buffet brunch at the hotel. Being on a tight budget then, I was overwhelmed by the food there! Fast forward to November 2007 my wife and I were part of a group tour that stayed in a hotel across the street from the American Colony. One evening my wife and I walked over to the hotel and took a selfie in the courtyard by a fountain. I would like to stay there if I ever went back! I also did a mini nightime tour with some friends in our group like you from our hotel to the old city then to the Kotel! Thanks again for this wonderful video!
Thanks for stopping in The Ametican Colony as an American I NEVER stayed in that section .I absolutely LOVE 💙💙💜♥️♥️💜💜💙 The German and French Colonies. Both are much Friendlier and have Way More accessible Good shops to be with the local people Especially The German Colony also it is much prettier. ♥️

The American Colony Hotel was our home away from home for years, starting around 1980 or so and continuing until around 2010. Living in Tel Aviv it was easy to hop in the car and drive out for a cup of tea in the garden, or a weekend stay. Wonderful memories!
