Great views from the castle - your two boys are so lovely , and well behaved. Been along there before completely ripped off with the tourist prices ( but hey we were tourists) . When the other lived in Cyprus he used to let staff know he lived there and got many a bargain beer 🍺.
Yeah exactly, we're all tourist until we're not! It all takes time 😀 we'll get there, once we become regular faces, I'm sure we will get looked after! I don't think I ever paid for a beer when I lived in Portugal 😀
We live in peyia too and love Protaras. We take 3-4 breaks each year there as the beaches are fab.and some great bars cafes tavernas... But like you we needed a place all year round with a fab choice of bars cafes tavernas smack bang in the village plus all the daily family needs are catered for .... And walking distance to everything .we are lucky very lucky indeed... Just got some new neighbours and friends now too lol
The castle was obviously built to protect the harbour and there were 12 cannons on the battlements. It was used later as a salt store I believe. Good luck with your car appointment and also with immigration. x

@@NuttersInCyprus to what i can remember it varied between the size of the boat when we went we got one of the more expensive boats which costed €270 for a full day. Its called Latchi water-sports centre who we hired of however theres other options e.g George’s water-sports. Our options were 4 hours or a full day
Walked down there a few times mate .Very nice .4 euros for a scoop !!!! That would even upset George 😂.You either prefer East or West mate .Protaras is a holiday resort .Paralimini is the all year round place to live at that side I’m not a big fan of Paphos personally but you’ve got to choose the best place for your family Tom .Still beautiful wherever you go in Cyprus buddy 🫶.
Yeah exactly mate, we originally was going to Paralimni, then after researching Peyia we realised we would never need to leave the village and wouldn't need a car. So we made that choice! We have only been to Paphos properly once, and that was for this video 😀 The other times we have been to Paphos has been for court documents, Customs offices, school registration...and so on! Did 1st customs documents today in Paphos and then went over to Paphos Court to submit my declaration, and I'm in Limassol customs office in the morning to submit further documents to release my car 😀 And agreed mate, Cyprus is nice wherever you go!
Mate it’s so very different to live somewhere as opposed to going on holiday so I completely understand why you chose that side .The village you live in looks absolutely amazing.I can only judge on holidays or when I worked there so I’m not judging by the same standards .From what I’ve seen so far I think you’ve made a fabulous decision .It looks amazing. Oh and by the way the food there looked fab and well priced mate 👌👌👌

How far is this from Protaras pls?
It's about 2 and half hours away from Protaras. I'm sure they do day trips up here.
