We're about to start our homebrew campaign in Saga Lands and man, Vendigos are the ones I'm most afraid to encounter in the frozen tundra. Thank you for this amazing and almost creepy-pasta'ish narration of what Vendigos are.

My campaign goes north... I planned for a Wendigo Encounter. And I want it to be as scary to my Level 13 Group as possible, so I watch Appalachian Horrorstories and Shit like that.
Your video is amazing. It helps me to give the wendigo a better feeling in the game.

I was listening to pathfinder pod cast and they are currently dealing with this. This thing is creepy, especially all its doing to players before the discover what they were dealing with

I suspect wendigo are a type of ghoul given their strong connection with cannibalism and how some are formed from someone who committed cannibalism though something happened to differ them strongly from other ghouls

Interesting thought! There are certainly similarities between the two and the mutual connection with cannibalism is nothing to dismiss. A key difference is that ghoul fever is a disease, whereas wendigo torment is a curse. Also, wendigos invade and expel their bodies' previous owners, while ghouls as undead seem to be fundamentally the same being, just corrupted. This makes me think that wendigos may be considered a 'spiritual' counterpart to ghouls, who are quite mundane by Golarion standards.

@@theloretour ya that does make sense
Also undead diseases often are often contagious curses as well I would say in regards to some traits they often have like turning into some other creature which none magical diseases can't do

We’ll I’ve stubbled into this video randomly while searching for ideas for monsters to use in my next campaign and well this may not necessarily be something for that I see potential for a Halloween one shot. Very well done you have a excellent voice for this very easy to listen to.
