If you're open to video ideas, I was watching your "I'm not sure about baby #2 video" and I was thinking it would be interesting if you did a reaction video to that now that juniper is born. Like seeing in hindsight how your concerns played out, if they weren't so bad, etc. As someone with one child so far it would be so helpful to hear your perspective after having #2!
I'm a 17 year old mum , I'm only 12 weeks but I am so scared , your videos have been so useful for me and I love watching them , to calm me down when things feel a little bit too much . Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl 💖
It would be such a great video idea to have Matt actually sit down and give our husbands some tips and advice on being the best possible birth partner!! He seems like he is so knowledgable in that way and id love for my husband to hear any tips and tricks he has :) Sending you love!! You guys are the best
It’s really just active complete selflessness. Give everything up for her for however many hours it takes. By the end of our first labor, I was shaking from the physical effort of providing counter pressure every three minutes from 1am to 7am and I was wrecked, but it didn’t matter. We’ve been chatting and I think we will do a sit down video about it. I didn’t take any classes. I watched a short counter pressure training RUclips video, but in the actual labor I only listened to Megan and what she wanted. Okay we are gonna do a vid on this because I have a ton more to say.
@@Matt_Acuna Oh my goodness that is great news!! It will be so helpful for so many of our spouses to hear all of the advice you have. I am looking forward to it!🙂
. You were Blessed to have so much support from Matt. I had 3 natural births by myself, fathers were not allowed in the birthing room. Juniper is beautiful,, every baby is different and it's easier for you now because you are an experienced Mom and not stressing over every little detail. and you have so much help with Matts parents taking care of Rowan. Grandparents are amazing! Only wish we lived closer so we could be part of your lives! We love you all so much...Rowan Melts my heart! love, GG...Great Grandma
Girl I'm telling you...that sexy time works wonders getting you from early labor to active! That's what we did and it worked like a CHARM! I loved hearing you give all the details because, as beautiful as the birth vlog was, it felt like a more big-picture thing and this is a little more "zoomed in." Thanks for letting us in to such a special and personal part of your life. It's honestly so empowering and inspiring to hear other women tell their birth stories.
All the things people say to use to make labor easier I feel doesn't work for pain management. I just gave birth 2 days ago and i prepared myself watching videos on youtube way before getting pregnant and nothing relieved the pain. Not the combs, not the essential oils, not even the breathing. Maybe the breathing helps with something else but nothing took away the pain or relieved it. I am still so confused and a little sad. I did it without epidural but never experienced all I was hoping for like being able to ease the pain. Nothing helped. I wonder if people lie about it not being painful :(
I found counting was the thing that helped me in the last few hours of labour the most. I think being more relaxed with the second one helps baby be more chilled too.
Congratulations y'all! She's beautiful and its awesome to hear such an empowering birth story despite all the hiccups with the hospital. Blessings on your new family of 4! We added our second (also a girl) in May, so we are tracking right along with you!
I totally understand the holy crap that was fast second birth🤣 I was in active labor for 45 minutes with my second. He was born in the car directly in front of the hospital. Thankfully I had called the midwife on the way and she was waiting outside for us. She literally opened my car door, I screamed baby was coming and 2 involuntarily pushes later she caught him🤣 Definitely didn’t get to take advantage of any of the ideas on my birth plan lol. You rocked your birth and Matt was amazing, too. Congrats on little baby Juniper!
So my daughter was born two years ago on July 25th! I also had a unmedicated birth Only because I was laboring so fast! I just wanna tell you are so lucky your nurse allows you to push because mine did not and literally held her hand in my vagina until the doctor walked in for like 15 minutes!!!!
Destiny! I am so sorry that happened to you! No person should be stopped from doing what their body is doing in labor. You are so strong for birthing your daughter!
When i came out i didn't cry but they visibly saw me take a nice deep breath. They don't always cry, it really depends on how baby is when they are out but some babies need to get more fluid out others don't.
She's so pretty. Thank you for sharing your Birth experience with us. You look amazing momma. I'm excited for all the new videos. Take Care and God Bless. I hope that you will be back to vlogging normally really soon. I'm looking forward to seeing your precious Baby Girl. And of course Rowan too. Love From your longtime Indiana Friend.
I'm new to watching your videos but I'm so curious how your partner learned how to help you in labor? Assuming it was a birth class? My husband is getting nervous as a first-time dad and I think having a job to do during labor would help him channel that nervous energy (and help me out a lot!)
My husband was terrible during contractions at home but things seemed to click for him in the hospital. I’ve been trying to prep him this time with lists of things i want and don’t want. We never talked about that for first birth and that was a mistake on my part.
I learned by listening to Megan! At our first labor, a passing nurse in the lobby at midnight (probably an angel HAHA) told me how to provide counter pressure and each of our L&D nurses taught me a little more. There are a lot of counter pressure training videos on RUclips but it’s really an experimentation of what works best for YOU. Be communicative with him. He also needs to not take anything personally. Labor is a once/twice in a lifetime experience and the hardest thing you will ever do. While you’re in labor, he doesn’t matter 🤣 We’re going to do a video on this and I’m going to get called a beta or a cuck by insecure men on the internet haha, but labor is all about the mom and nothing else matters.
@@Matt_Acuna thank you!! We’ll be on the look out for your video and do some research on counter pressure! Congrats to mom and dad, you guys are an amazing team!
Loved this birth story! Sounds like it was beautiful, scary and exciting in its own way! Now Matt needs to get a steam deck like my hubby has and GAME while little girl takes naps! My husband said his favorite part about the newborn days was being able to play video games with the newborn chillin’ right next to him. Peaceful and memorable times according to him. He even says some video games bring him back to the birth of one of our kids, since he played the game during those early moments. Anyway, not sure why I’m sharing haha but I figured since Matt is gamer he might have heard of the steam decks! By the way Megan you look absolutely beautiful! Didn’t even think that was possible but post partum you look so radiant and refreshed!!! How! Haha 💖💖💖wishing you all the best from CA.
Aw man I signed up for a preorder a long time ago and they haven’t gotten to me yet I guess, but it doesn’t even play some of the games I want so I’m not sure I’ll get one. I have a pretty bomb game room setup though and she has definitely joined me in there!
No matter how much I hate horrifying drugs they putting in epidural, I just gave birth to my 1st 1 week ago, I labored ar home til 8cm, and I can tell hands down, for somebody that doesn't know what kind of pain this could be, unmedicated is total setup. The Transitioning phase impossible to get through if you don't know what pain you going to encounter. So to whoever is interested at least go labor in hospital in case pain becomes unbearable and you already there. All that labor at home as long as possible, unmedicated, I dont know how others do it.
Hi little Juniper! A question for the family Matt how is it being a 2nd time dad! Megan how do you feel after your 2nd labour! Rowan, do you like being a big brother? :)
It’s great! But also funny. I feel like it should be easier cuz we’re pros now but man sometimes I still just want to go live in a cave alone when they’re both screaming at the same time 😆

@@Matt_Acuna the ironic thing was I had just joked at work the previous week that I wouldn’t have a car baby. Whoops😅
Love hearing all the details of your labor! So happy for you and your sweet family xx
My dr didn’t make it to the birth of my second, she came in the room after and just looked at me with her hands on her hips😂😂

A pushing stage mom is in no position to order s nurse to take their hand away but should let people with her know to insist on that
That is so not okay! Nurses 100% CAN deliver babies of theyneed to
THAT IS BATSH*T INSANE I WOULD LOSE MY MY MIND as a birth partner! What a fricking violation of your body!!! I’m so sorry that happened!
Oh my gosh I remember the poor registration guy asking me if he could weigh me when I was in active labor. I gave that man the meanest look lol.
HA oh my gosh no way!
I loved this vlog I thank y'all for sharing and congrats again 💕

It’s too bad you couldn’t go to a birth center. They are nice if you know you want to go all natural, and you don’t have to switch rooms 80 times.
