When you speak of Sunni and Shia you also have to remember, these are the infights of Islam, but are also respective of every other denomination. Hindu and Buddhism have them as well. Christianity. The difference is in Islam, they determine laws, flags, land, and borders. That is why it seems so strong. And rigid. In other cultures church and state dont mix.
Hindus aand buddhist have a 2000 year history of debate and dialogue not violence and murder।
Islam seems special when it comes to dominating and destroying others who don't agree with their theological principles

Imam Tawhidi is popular for his rather un-Islamic views, so to speak, despite being a trained Imam. We need more Muslims like him who are proud of their faith but are respectful of all other faiths as well. Radical Islamists indulge in violence and chase the dream of a Muslim Ummah, which gives a bad name to the entire faith simply because liberal or moderate Muslims do not openly condemn radicals amongst themselves. In fact, radical Islam is increasingly taking root in Europe and various other parts of the world which have historically been Christian or of other non-Muslim faiths. As an Indian, I worry about the plight of Hindus in the coming years / decades, considering the rampant appeasement of Muslims in India by every political party and the leftists giving a helping hand to push the Islamic narratives, beginning with their supposed victimhood, as we have seen recently in the riots in Delhi. Wish India has adopted a Uniform Civil Code and certain charter of secularism right in 1947, which may have prevented selfish politicians from appeasing Muslims for their own petty political gains. If this trend isn't stopped soon, non-Muslims, particularly Hindus will have to once again live under Islamic rule when in a couple of decades India becomes an Islamic Republic. Hindus will have only themselves to blame for their plight then. Hindus don't even unite and protest Govt control of their temples and Trusts, which the Govt doesn't dare do to any other religious community.

Dialogue was good and important points taken but it was wastage of people like Rajivji. He was interrupted in single question to him by Imam. What a shame. I am disappointed by Arth for not utilizing wisdom of Rajivji. That's where Arth has failed in my opinion.

I just caught something about Christians not believing that bible is all from the word of God. Yes it's written by various authors about the word of God ,some are the apostles such as the Gospel which is eye witness accounts , others historical linegae, prophecies from visions , letters to the churches , songs,proverbs,revelations. However it's ordered in the beginning to the end. I haven't read the Qur'an but have listened to discourse and I understand it not in chronological order however it's taken from the old testament and varied to suit when Muhammad was endeavouring to convince people to follow him that took several attempts until it took hold .

If he is Shia, does that not include the deep-rooted animosity often present Sunnis, as well as those they revere? One can easily find videos online demonstrating how Shias are frequently taught to harbor hatred towards Sunnis, almost as if antagonism is a prerequisite for Shia identity, just as the sky's blueness prerequisites the sky's existence.

This man distinguished Islam from the Sultans and Mughals who brought Islam in India. That's what I liked about him the most. Yes, a religion should never be identified with a tyrant. Neither should the tyrants' deeds should be praised by a religion/believers of a religion because he brought Islam in Southern and southeastern Asia. Babur should not be praised because he brought Islam here and destroyed temples. Islam should be followed for its own beauty. Islam should be followed by a Muslim because it is Her/his religion - not for what bad effects Hindus had to face for it. This man has capabilities of making the Hindus and Muslims unite.
