- During a test drive, I hit some gravel in a curve, and down I went . . .
… I hurt my ankle pretty bad (and my elbow a little bit), but mostly, I hurt my pride … 😞
This was the first time I ever laid a bike down on pavement, and am very happy I was wearing full protective gear, or it would have been much worse.

I'm glad it wasn't worse and you're okay except for the ankle. Hopefully the ankle is back to nornal in a few days. Great looking bike! Years ago I laid down my Bridgestone 350 GTS turning into a gravel driveway. I got some gravel dust in the shifter mechanism and only had 2nd and 4th gear for awhile!

I am doing O.K. I hit gravel in the turn, and the tires probably weren't scuffed in enough yet . . . I did enjoy riding it before and after the crash. I say, test ride one, and see if you like it . . . Cheers!

Thank god you r wearing safety gears. Here in my state in 🇮🇳. Most of the youngsters have these kinds of royal Enfield and bajaj bikes and they go very fast wothout wearing any safety gears. Damn.. since it all a bit cheap here. By the way. Is thisShotgun 650 bike good for riding? Coz when i grew up i m inna idea of buying one of these to my father

Interceptor still is the queen of the segment, although with a classic 650 coming that spot is up for grabs.

That's certainly a collectible now. One of the rare motorcycles that defined an era in India.
I still remember how it felt to ride one, the engine sound and the slow thumps were all a pleasure, the foot peg vibrations as well are quite fondly remembered.
Great bike for enjoying the life at a cozy pace.
